They can't attend a memorial on the fifth if they don't arrive until the sixth. I thought that was clear. How is your search for any evidence that ANYONE close to the case, that is the residents or the English girlfriends, attended the memorial? Any evidence of that at all? You were going to back up your statement that Meredith's family and friends all attended. I think I have shown that the family was not yet in town -- how about evidence of friends?

If you can't find backup, will you withdraw it as something to hold against Amanda Knox and Rafaelle Sollecito?

I'm seriously becoming concerned. For the third time, this article was UPDATED on the 8th. Read to the bottom to find the information in the ORIGINAL article.

So the link I provided that documents Meredith's family going to the memorial and leaving a rose next to the candles at the memorial is simply not good enough.

Why is that? What point is being made? Is it important to imply that Meredith's family did not attend her memorial and, if so, why? Why would anyone want to take that away from the victim's family?

Please tell me how the family can lay a rose next to the candles at the memorial if they were not at the memorial.

Sure. I believe that candles, flowers etc where left at the site where the memorial was held and her family visited the site. Only thing that makes sense since they didn't arrive in Perugia until the 6th

Where is YOUR source proving that they arrived on the sixth? For crying out loud, this is preposterous!

The following day, we visited the church in Perugia’s main square, where so many of her friends from the town had lit candles for her, and left our own. I wondered if Meredith herself might have visited this church, and whether we were walking in her footsteps. Then, British Consulate staff drove us back to Florence, where we met and hired the services of a lawyer, Francesco Maresca.

Do I understand correctly that some people are assuming that there was no Memorial for Meredith when Meredith's family went to the memorial and laid a rose and a note next to the candles? What exactly is being suggested? Did the family imagine that they went to the memorial? Did they imagine that they placed a rose for their daughter?

Why is it so important to deny the victim's family the right of having been to the memorial?

Perhaps this will help:

"Yesterday the suspects were being held in isolation in prison, ahead of an appearance before a magistrate this morning when they may be charged."

"Miss Kercher's family - father John, mother Arline and sister Stephanie - yesterday arrived in Perugia. They laid a note and a rose next to an array of candles outside the cathedral. The note said: 'Love you forever Meredith, all my love Dad 🤬🤬🤬.'"

The arrest was on November 6th.

<modsnip> Does it disagree with the article I sourced?

I linked to a CBS news source stating clearly that they arrived Tuesday afternoon.

John Kercher documents his visit to Perugia in his book and there's no mention of attending the memorial.

Nothing can prepare you for what it is like to have to travel to a foreign country to identify the body of your daughter. After hearing the terrible news of Meredith’s death, we waited almost a week to be able to travel. We had no idea what we were going to face when we arrived out there, nor what to expect.

It was claimed that Meredith's friends and family attended the memorial service that Amanda and Sollecito did not attend. Now it is being said that they attended the memorial site and placed a rose and note next to a candle?

The article clearly states that the Kerchers arrived "yesterday" and that "last night" there was a memorial vigil at the university.

The article clearly states that "yesterday" AK and RS were in custody. They were in custody on November 6th not the 5th.

Do you frequently leave out the lines that contradict your point?

Do ou suppose that could be the part of the article that was UPDATED?

The point is, you stated as fact that all of Meredith's friends and family attended this memorial, but AK and RS did not. It seems to me that there is adequate proof that Meredith's family had not yet arrived in country. You have yet to provide any proof whatsoever that anyone closely connected to the case attended this memorial.

Perhaps a better worded question would help me to understand the question. The article is apparently contradicting itself. It was argued before that the Kercher family did in fact attend the memorial that AK and RS did not, along with friends of Meredith's. It was also argued that since AK and RS did not attend that it pointed towards their guilt.

The article that has been linked to states that AK and RS were in custody "yesterday" and that the Kercher family arrived last night or yesterday. The way the article is worded then it means that the Kercher family arrived on November 6th.

Pit seems to me that there is adequate proof that Meredith's family had not yet arrived in country. You have yet to parodied any proof whatsoever that anyone closely connected to the case attended this memorial.

This isn't about me. This is about whether Meredith's family attended her memorial and placed a rose and a note next to the candles at the memorial. Media reports state that the family did place a rose at the memorial. Was the hope that the memorial was taken away, cleaned up, and gone as soon as it was set up?

Why is it important to take that small gesture away from the victim's family?
