The fact that McDougal was arrested on an unrelated charge from 2023 tells us I think that police are pretty certain he's responsible for Audrii's disappearance. They needed to hold him, perhaps concerned he might flee.

Just my opinion but I believe the Lt. should be more careful with his use of the past tense when referring to the commitment of bringing that precious innocent little girl home alive. "Was loved" doesn't sound very hopeful for life. Perhaps it was just an unfortunate slip.
I was thinking the same thing after reading the report of his last statement, he used many past tense words stating “she was a happy little girl”. Makes me feel like he knows something he isn’t saying…but hopefully it’s just a slip.

If he put her in the water below the dam, she could be a long way from the dam by now. We just had a flooding event in our area 3 weeks ago. The dam was wide open and trinity river (below the dam)was out of it's banks. The river flows from livingston, through cleveland, dayton, liberty and down to Baytown. I'm praying they find her soon.

McDougal is the man who supposedly dropped Audrii off at the bus stop.
My God, isn’t he everyone’s nightmare.

Haven't read the whole thread yet, my connection is iffy (I'm in Panama) but looking at that vehicle, it has some serious damage to the undercarriage. Wherever he went with it, it wasn't on regular roads. I doubt AC is anywhere near the water or dam. (I've just read up to page 13 so maybe already addressed.)

where can I see pictures of his vehicle?

ETA: nm I see this one but can't see the undercarriage?

I'm wondering whether there are any intensive searches on land, in the woods, the wilderness. Any forest roads, fire roads, trails accessible by vehicle?

With all that water around, it seems obvious he'd put her into water somewhere, but what if he didn't? If he had 1/2 a brain cell, he'd figure Audrii would be looked for in water so do the opposite.

Just musing......
ofcourse it's more difficult to search the waters there, especially if currents and the dam action could move a body to who knows how far.

[...]

It was another long and exhausting day for investigators and dozens of search volunteers, battling both the bitter cold and the sheer volume of land and water they needed to cover.

Yet again, they came up empty handed.

“Audrii is missed. We want her home,” said Chris Boothe.

Family, friends, and the local Livingston community gathered Sunday afternoon in prayer, praying that Audrii is found.

“There’s always hope. That’s why we pray for the safe return of Audrii to her family,” said Ray Epps.

Bolded snip by Ann-Tx

Snipped:
“We are hopeful that we can bring Audrii home alive and that’s what we are absolutely working toward right now. Based on the evidence that we’ve got, we know that foul play is a factor as well,” Cummings said. “Investigative efforts are ongoing. We’re looking at this as a criminal investigation as well and have to protect the integrity of that."

There's no news about people turning over cams. There's no crazy neighbor witness,Just nothing.
The reporters have said different things about her leaving ,never leaving . I dont understand why they want video from 3 am Friday to current. I would have thought the request would have been for the time 600 am Thursday . Is the back pack a distraction?
If she did not leave her house for the bus stop, and he did not drive her to the bus stop ,the back pack could have been ditched after he hid Trinity.
This case reminds me .of Tabitha Tuders .

I agree. I think he has already showed them where he put her in, but it's water and who knows how much she has moved?.

I wonder if he thought to weigh her down? :(
This area has received two very large rainstorms in February so the water levels are even higher and faster than normal.

I wonder if they have phone pings yet, or I hope they will soon. I'm curious as to his whereabouts that day.
