Their accents are tough !

At 1:41 local time, the aircraft aborted its first landing attempt in poor visibility and was placed in a holding pattern near the airport for nearly two hours. Between Flight 981's first and second landing attempts, another aircraft made three landing attempts before diverting.Flight 981 crashed during a go-around after aborting its approach during its second attempt to land on runway 22.] At 3:42 local time the air trafic controller of the airport alerted the local emergency services about the crash.

Atc thus far is declaring like 24 mph winds not a big deal for this plane.

This was nota stablized approached by any means. In increments of "seconds" this thing was speeding up slowing down in atypical increments for an aircraft that was trying to stablize for approach. It looks like it was encounter both headwinds and tailwinds on and off.

Its altitude second by second was also very erratic in some instances by very uncomfortable drops and increases in heights which would indicate strong updrafts and downdrafts. Rollar coaster like stuff. All signs go to your alternate airport!

The ride had to be mortifing and noisy with things flying alll about up to the ceiling , then back on pasengers , then to the ceiling again , Engine noises had to be scary as well spool up spool down spool up , angle of attack (nose rising and lower) also scary in the wild gyrations this video is reporting ,IMO not a good finale moments of living.

I know nothing about air crash investigation, nor do I know anything about air craft accidents. What I do know, is that several Russian *accidents* with regard to aircraft were proved to be the actions of Chechen *Black Widow* suicide bombers. Not wanting to point fingers, I also acknowledge the idiot pilot who let his minor son take control and kill many, many, passengers.

I'm sorry, but I don't accept *bad weather* automatically. Soviet (Russian) pilots are incredibly well trained. They land in war zones all the time. I just don't buy weather in this crash. As with several others.

I had never heard about this before so I had to google it. My Lord....I can't believe that pilot acted so incredibly stupid! So hard to believe.

I am appalled that the airline is not doing more for families.

One of the victims was Valentyna Somina, 67, who was flying back to Ukraine after a week's holiday in Dubai.
A family member said: 'They have confirmed that she, and all the passengers, did pass away. They have said they will be getting back in touch with us.
‘They called three times to confirm her name but that’s it. They have just passed it to their managers and that’s it. They really haven’t got their priorities straight.
‘It’s a great loss for us and it doesn’t seem like they care.
‘It would be nice to go there and be there, which is what we’re going to do next. We have booked flights to Moscow. But it’s going to be another 24 hours or so until we can be at the site.

I'm so sorry to hear this. You must be devastated. You'd of thought almost 24 hours on. That there would be more liason with family members. Flights and transport out to there and hoteliers. I'm hoping that with the time that passes. The investigation teams would of surveyed the black boxes. Which hopefully will fill in the blanks we have at the moment.
Once again my deepest condolences. Namaste ☆

There is new video in tis report. As I am watching

-why has noone showed the actual impact point?
- the world saw a massive explosion - nothing on the runway is chared (not risking the webpage going nuts post pic in anotehr post!)
_are runways in Russia explosion proof (could not help it)!
-That is not enough smitherians for a 737-800- can only be a "part"of the aircraft
-used to CNN getting it wrong, but there is video of area devasted by a kerosine fire.
- Whats up Russia>

This is what runways look like when massive machines blow up ! Goggle. This one was unreal in that parts of of accident sequence was recorded. Google images

Here is United 232 jumbo a DC-10. Huge machine. L-1011 was much prettier!!!

Do you think it could be terrorist related? Due to length of circling. The Pilot trying to gain a few extra minutes to gather time/plan to disarm etc.
It seems plausible to me. Looking at the cctv. There is a definite fire ball before the plane hits ground. Maybe a bomb/suicide bomber.
Maybe the pilot did what he did. By trying to do a landing. To try to message air control visually that there was a problem 'on' board.
Idk. Weather would of been a huge issue. But as said in an earlier post. The runways/airport would of shut down. Re routing panes to another Airport that was accepting.

Thoughts on this. As I'm thinking back to the Russian plane last year downed in the desert. By a can of "fizzy drink".
Same sort of obliteration. Vast area of debris. Except this one almost made it home... now THAT IS SCARY.

Thought's?

It sure is, I was expecting this AM to see the acrual place where the black and white video was

something is getting weird Maybe the black and white is bogus??

The flight recorders from a passenger jet which crashed in southern Russia killing all 62 people on board are badly damaged and could take up to a month to decode, Russia's airline regulator said on Sunday.

My oh my - why does it "seem" like flight recorders just dont seem to survive, or end up unreadable in Russia? HUmm

Both MAL and this were designed in AMerica so it cant be like "Russias" aircraft recorders are inferior!

Wait till it fades from the news cycle......... humm again

I dont remember one - difficuty extracting data yes but.....

To protect the stack of memory boards that store information, black boxes are wrapped in a thin layer of aluminum and a 1-inch layer of high-temperature insulation, and then encased in a corrosion-resistant stainless steel or titanium shell.
The black box must be able to withstand an acceleration of 3,400 Gs (3,400 times the force of gravity), which equals an impact velocity of about 310 mph. It must also survive flames up to 2,000 degrees F for one hour, and the beacon should be able to emit a signal once per second while submersed in 20,000 feet of saltwater for 30 days

Hamilton says he cannot think of a single case in which both devices have been damaged to the point of there being no useful data.

Rarely, a recorder is recovered but blank or too damaged to read.........

Forgot link for the new video (around 2:10)

Makes zero sense!

plane's wing caught on the runway during the second landing attempt in adverse weather conditions. The plane exploded and broke apart entirely, killing all 62 people on board, Meduza reported.

so in the black and white video (odd in itself) we see an object coming in from UP in the air!

Aircraft with a runway /wingtip contact tend to roll over not take flight again !

United 232 posted earlier did that -- wingtip contact and cartwheeled

Am I the only one that thinks stuff aint adding up

and .............wingtips hitting runways tend to blow up its the "gas tank"!!

wingtip/runway:

You're right CARIIS it makes no sense.

The crash site doesnt feel right. It was at the end of its flight and had circled for 2 hours. It can't have had full fuel tanks. It came in fast and steep, disintegration I expectc yes but usually you have some form of debris field and crater. There's virtually nothing in the photos we've seen. Some scorch marks and very little 'debris' I can't make sense of it.

Russian authorties (posted earlier) say the opposite

Black boxes from crashed FlyDubai flight are in normal condition and are decipherable, source says - Interfax

longer we go more i smell more fish!!
Russian investigators agree to removal of wreckage from FlyDubai crash site, emergency headquarters official says - Interfax

In a crash site like that NTSB would be there easily a week IMO

In a video , you folks release, where something appears to be a glow, you state this

FlyDubai CEO Ghaith al-Ghaith says there is no suspicions that a bomb caused the crash - AlArabiya

At this point do how you even say that? Noone can even tell us the actual point of impact and what you all already did residual testing for explosives on a million pieces spread all over god knows where.

It took NTSB ages to rule in or out bomb TWA 800. Lockerbee was not "annonced" a bomb for some time. That was amazing -- they found a tiny circuit chip from the Toshiba radio that had the explosive in it!!! Amazing.

They seem to keep changing the story as to what happened.
Found this and wonder why the pictures being posted don't show a big hole in the pavement. Could the pictures be of a different crash at the same airport or is this bad reporting?

Closed-circuit TV footage showed the plane going down at a steep angle and exploding. The powerful explosion left a big crater in the runway and pulverized the plane and passengers' remains.
