I have an English degree, so what I read is that Amy’s case is cold and they have never named a POI and have gotten nowhere with her case. The cold case FBI agent decided to give it one more shot.
Nothing from the 1990s has panned out, so they are back looking for witnesses who may have seen or heard (like a fall or drunk Amy saying she wanted to die,or anything unusual) anything on March 23, 1998.
The FBI no longer brings up eyewitness accounts and they would like to resolve the case, as they stay on until the case is too old to continue to work on (and her case is getting closer and closer to that every day).
It’s not all good as Amy has likely been deceased for 20 years and they would like to resolve what happened so they can provide her family with resolution and close the case.
In case she decided to live on the Islands, deliberately away from her family, here is what she would look like in her 40s. A nice, healthy looking middle aged woman.
