Maybe to prevent leaving behind hair or fibres from those going in? Not sure.

"Forensic investigators removed a large garbage bag from inside the home." At Mallory Crescent. CP24.

I'm curious to know why hazmat suits are needed inside that residence. I can understand the garage but not the home, itself.
Maybe LE sprayed the home with Luminol to check for traces of blood? speculation.

Interesting that LE have concluded their search at the largest property (Madoc, Ontario), and the one being the most secluded. I suspect we would have known if they found anything significant with reporters being on scene. They do seem very focused on the Mallory Crescent property, and have now removed a large, black garbage bag from inside the home. Add that to the list with hacksaws from the garage, a planter from the backyard, and possibly some other items. Something told me that they wouldn't find the bodies/remains at these properties he did work on, but maybe other useful evidence?

Imo, I don't think LE have a clue at this point when the bodies could be, and will just follow where the investigation takes them.

Has this man been found? He’s older than the victim profile but similar complexion and facial hair.

I’m local to cooper road, I’ll ask my local group if there is still activity.

Apparently not. Here's the WS thread for George Sekaloh; https://www.websleuths.com/forums/s...da-George-Sekaloh-62-Toronto-28-November-2017

Unfortunately, there's only 4 posts.
Thanks folks, I have added George to the list.

Earlier today, CP24 reported that the male resident of the home had to wear a hazmat suit to enter his home and remove something. Apparently, the couple was seen entering the home of a neighbour. I guess they are not allowed back in at this time.

yep. Once the police targeted the home, the elderly residents were given very short notice that they were to leave. Good to see the neighbours have taken them in, hopefully. It must be shocking to hear that.....now this!

I'm just jumping off your post to inquire as to who "pays" for the clean-up of the residence once the home is released back to the home owners? I'm guessing it's the home owners responsibility but that just seems so unfair as they are victims too. jmo

Wondering how the people who bought the home feel about it all now, could they back out of the sale and would they want to?

From my understanding, it's the homeowners responsibility, sadly. So far it looks like LE aren't doing too much damage which is good for them. They are mostly just removing items, not destructing the property.

I've heard of cases where LE have had to rip up flooring and drywall.

dotr, think we're talking about Mallory Crescent in Leaside. The elderly people who let him store his stuff in the garage, etc

I think since the couple gave him permission to be on property to store his work belongings, and to do work on their property....they are responsible. If they hired him, then house insurance would step in to repair?
Maybe the Victims of Crime fund?

With all due respect, we have no idea of what they're doing within the house. Whatever it is, they could leave one heck of a mess.
The poor couple who own the house look totally shocked, as Im sure they are. There goes the property value.

I'm guessing there is a lot of finger print dust to be cleaned. Hopefully, nothing more.

‘He would not kill anybody,’ says sister of man charged in Gay Village slayings

https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/20...r-of-man-charged-in-gay-village-slayings.html

Also about the Leaside couple. Let's not print their names on here. JMO

From that article;
They are also “appalled” by some of the inaccurate information reported in the media, including the assertion that McArthur lived at their home.

“I’ve seen people claiming to be my neighbours. I don’t know them. They all have comments about (Smith) and I, the house,” Fraser said. “You’re being talked about on TV, and you’re watching it. It’s strange.”

The reason I like WS's rules. That ^^^^ kinda puts them into perspective. ;)

Sorry not a fly on the wall, so havent the foggiest. From initial photos, the garage looked rammed with things, having that turned out onto the driveway, will require someone to put it back.
What are LE looking for inside? Scratching my head here, maybe the search warrant stipulates something? Parts in freezers, under crawl spaces?
How much fp dusting done by Ident? Maybe the victims fp?The owners gave BM permission to be there when they were away, so his prints could very well be there. Maybe trophies, videos....???
What are owners resonsible for? They gave BM permission to be on his property including when they were not home. Sounds like a relationship of trust, therfore no compensation. Unless of course there was a legal contract signed, and then home owners could go after BM landscaping firm, assuming he had insurance.
Quite frankly i havent a fig of an idea, but these are the avenues of my thought. I feel for these trusting people probably trying to give a hand up.
