Angelina Jolie

Oh, I wasn't even alluding to pictures. I was alluding to peace and quiet. You know, like being able to go outside for some fresh air or a walk, without being mauled.

I do understand that everyone should have peace and quiet, but with the amount of money some of these celebrites make I don't feel that bad for them. The press comes with the job. I would love to be rich and not have to worry about paying a mortgage or anything else for that matter. I would accept 5 million for a picture of my baby. My child would be well taken care of and wouldn't have to worry about anything with that kind of money. I don't think they should be mauled for pictures either. The photographers do get crazy.

Did your gf get to see the Holmes/Cruise infant? Inquiring minds want to know.....
No, I don't think they let anyone anywhere near them.

FINALLY!!!! I cannot wait to see this baby. Shiloh is a beautiful name.
Leave it Angelina to select a unique name....but at least it isn't bizarre,
like some celebs.

Congrats!

I want to see a picture of this one too. I bet she is a pretty baby and she will be a beautiful when she is older too. Angelina's other kids are cuties too for that matter.

Well I know that of course. I was just trying to be nice (even though I do think they are both cute).

And you know, many of these celebs could have the peace they say they want if they'd stop trying to use their status to get attention for things they want. Don't mind using it when they have a cause, something to sell, a movie, let's be real, does Tom Cruise really need anymore money, perhaps he and Jolie and Pitts could go chill for awhile and be parents. Could not believe Cruise was surfing the world, London, Paris etc. the very week his baby was born.Sorry Tom, all the publicity in the world isn't going to make your movies a hit anymore as long as you're in them.

I'm sick of Pitt and Cruise and all these other so called superior beings, these stories are just trying to distract us from the real issues going on in the world.

I am happy for Brad and Angelina. Shiloh is a very pretty name.

IMO, I think it's great that they are donating the money for the first pictures to charity. Does anyone know which charity or charities the money is supposed to go to? I think both of their hearts are in the right place. Unlike Mr. Control Cruise.

Congrats to the new parents!!!!

I love that name...it is just beautiful. I love to see pictures of the Hollywood children. This baby will probably be pretty but I've seen some pretty couples who have the most pitiful looking kids and some couples who aren't so pretty that have the cutest kids. You just never know how they will turn out.

They are treated so well in that country that they are in because of the big bucks that they have poured into it. Don't get me wrong...it is a good cause but everytime I hear of things super stars are doing for the people in other countries I think of the people in need here in their own country that get forgotten. The money for the picture is probably going to the country that they are in right now.

Probably a good thing they can afford nannys because those kids are in stair steps and will keep someone or someones really busy. Boy, once those two decided to have a family they really got on it ;) No grass growing under their feet. I wonder where marriage fits into their plans or if they are going to be like Cruise control and Katie and keep putting it off. Kind of funny that the Sciencetoligists don't seem to believe in marriage or they don't mind their folks just shacking up when they are so darn picky about everything else.
Things that don't really matter except in their minds like eating cupcakes around your child....pitiful.

Can you explain your comment about Scientologists not wanting parents(?)
to eat cupcakes in front of their child???

I've never heard of that. LOL

This is now two families in the last month who have "two adopted children" and now one "real" child... Lordy, but I'm tired of hearing the other children referred to as "adopted children". I heard it ad nauseum with Cruise and now it's all over the news with Angelina's two "adopted children". All 3 children of each family are their kids... not just the "real" one. It's sad that our society still feels a need to refer to them as "adopted" children. It would have been just as easy to refer to Tom's other two as his "two older children" as it was to continuously throw in the word "adopted". And no, I'm not adopted... but thank you for allowing me my rant!

I TOTALLY agree with you on the "adopted" thing....BUT my question is, why don't these 'celebrities' make a comment to the press on it? I think if it was ME, I'd call the press on using the word adopted all the time!

*cough* i have a leetle bugbear i'd like to share which may be a wee bit off topic, but in regards to the thread title.

here goes: i disike the word 'kid' to be used for a child.

children are bit baby goats.

i have no idea as to the history of the term. why on earth was it started?

i mean, 'puppy' or 'kitten', maybe . . . but 'kid'?

it has come into common British English parlance nowadays too.

I agree about pretty people sometimes having ugly babies ect. It does happen sometimes. I also agree about celebs doing so much for other countries and forgetting about the ones in need in their own country. They probably are donating the money to that country and that is probably why they are getting preferential treatment.

Well Gwen Stefani just had her baby. That would have been big news but now that the Pitt baby was born I am sure it will be overlooked..lol Good for Gwen for that matter. I think most of the "big news babies" are all born already.
