Are these just publicity stunts? (Yep, we're all talking about them, aren't we?!) or are they just that dense to keep digging that hole a little deeper and continuing to offend more and more of the public?

I wondered that too. Its seriously career suicide and it just keeps coming....

Sometimes "outrageous, offensive publicity" works. Just look what it did for Tom Cruise.....

I agree, and wondered if they were wanting to create the controversy. And yet, while Tom is certainly getting a lot of publicity, it's also really turned so many against him, more so than celebs doing stupid stuff in the past. That's why I wonder what they're wanting from their antics.

For me, myself and I, it's clear. No more DC for me, and it's too bad, as I do think they're talented. But they don't really want to be country? Then why did they do it? Hmmm. Guess I'm getting old, but find myself not wanting to support celebs that "bother" me in some way. I didn't used to care so much, and would separate their role or talent from their real life. Now, not so much. JMHO.

What amazes me is that they haven't been heard from for 3 years. They didn't mention death threats 3 years ago which is when the threats supposedly happened. Now here they come again and instead of just putting out a CD and doing their concerts and putting their screwup behind them they are starting the whole thing all over again. Now Reba has been brought into it. That wasn't a compliment when they said Toby and Reba. We know what they think of Toby. Don't they have any common sense at all? If they planned to make a comeback this is not the way to do it.

They would rather have a small following of people that will devote all of their listening time to the Chicks....well that is what they are going to end up with because of their rotten attitudes. Talk about career suicide. We survived for 3 years without your music Chicks....there are a lot of new country singers who have taken your place. Maybe you should head on over to the rockers and see if you can fit in there. Your fans are dropping like flies here in big country.

My CD player holds 25 CD's and I have plenty of country singers to fill it up...thank you :D ...that includes Toby and Reba
I agree Bobbie. They are losing their career. I was listening to Waco 100 yesterday and they started making fun of the Chicks..saying if they have to choose, they pick Reba, and played four of Reba's songs in a row! Allllrightythen!!!! I think we know how those DJ's think! LMAO! I am a big Reba fan myself, so I didn't mind a bit. I WAS a Chicks fan. As a fellow poster said earlier...JUST SHUT UP AND SING CHICKS!

Oh how funny! I knew Waco 100 would be all over this latest!!! No love lost with Zach and Jim, huh?

I love Reba...and although I did not name her, my favorite horse had "Reba" as part of her name - I asked the original owner why, and she said because she had a beautiful red, shiny coat, just like Reba's hair!

reality is that any publicity is better than no publicity at all...

But to be honest I am so tired of hearing from all the celelbrities on politics.. who cares what they think.. The only reason that it makes the gossip rags or news is because they are in the public eye but as we all know its not for their political aspirations or career..

LOL cute! I have a mini horse named Romeo and one named Chevy.
 I DIDN'T name them. I wanted to ask the lady I bought them from what she was thinking when she named them those horrible names...but I didn't. :bang:

I've never been much of a country music fan, although I thought Garth Brooks had/has a wonderful voice and I liked some of George Strait's music; he's a classic.

But I think Reba McIntyre has a FABULOUS VOICE; and I love Dolly Parton's rendition of I I I I.....Will Always Love YOU oo hoo,oo, hooo.

She has a fine voice also, among other attributes.

i read this morning that the "chicks" two singles that were supposed to be THE HITS on the new CD are at 38 and 46 on the billboard chart AND FALLING. they got what they wanted - rid of their current faithful fans....now they just have to wait for the new ones to arrive AND buy their music. i will not.
