I don't buy it. They KNOW the crux of what happened. The baby is dead. It's not like there's some ticking time bomb where the rules should be bent to save a life. Their curiosity about the details will just have to wait.
ETA: She NOT GOING TO CONFESS!!! Not to her parents, or her brother or anyone else!
I remember BC stating it on camera...so what came first the chicken or the egg...I haven't a clue. The article says: George and Cindy Anthony's lawyer confirmed that the family wants to set up a special private video visit with Casey Anthony.
That doesn't sound like he took it to the media, it sounds like the media got wind of it and contacted him.

I dont think cindy would ever try to get the truth from casey in fact I would think she would be more likely to try to make sure casey stays strong and NEVER admitts to anything. Cindy is probably afraid casey is fragile now so she wants to make sure to reinforce the family code of covering up and proclaming her inocence.I have mixed feelings on this one.
On the one hand I agree with those who say she shouldn't have any special treatment and if it's standard procedure for all inmate visits to be taped and therefore released under the sunshine laws of FL then I don't really see how an exception could be made.
On the other hand, if I were the A's, I would have many things to say to Casey that were important for me to say to her for my own emotional state. While I would hope what I had to say would convince Casey to tell the truth, I would need to say those things whether she did or not. I would want her to tell the truth and I would want her to be convicted and punished for her crimes but I wouldn't want my conversation with her to be the reason she was convicted - I wouldn't want to be the one to drive the nails in the coffin. Aside from that, I wouldn't really care if the tape was released but I am pretty sure that JB wouldn't allow the meeting to take place if he didn't have some assurances that either it wouldn't be taped or the tape would not be released.
Whether one likes the A's or detests them, I think everyone can agree this is a horrible situation for any family to be in and I cannot imagine how they will ever be able to get through it. If allowing a meeting to take place without the camera on will help them without creating too much of a mess with the legal system (& other inmates) then perhaps it should be done. It isn't like it's going to get Casey off the hook or anything so why not give them some private time to speak their mind?

She can have what they call a "shade meeting" with her lawyer or a priest, but she must meet her parents in the "sunshine." It's just that simple. It has nothing to do with what the jail will or will not do. It is the jail's customary procedure to videotape visitations and they cannot just willy nilly decide not to tape Casey's visitors. From that point on, it is not the jail's decision as to whether or not it will be released. The quoted article stated the situation incorrectly. If the tape is requested I feel certain it will be released. There is no "partly cloudy" weather in this set of laws!
You know, after thinking about this a little bit, I really want LE to allow this!
Then we would see if 1) casey wants to see her family and 2) if JB allows it
I actually REALLY hope this happens!
I don't see where the A's are asking for special treatment. They're asking for the same treatment all other inmates receive.

Having cooled off now, I'm curious to know if the perp wants to see them. My guess is that the entire production yesterday was their way of getting back into her good graces.
Of course it is. All that the A's are asking is that the video not be released to the public. Other inmates have videotaped visits - I'd be willing to bet that not one of those videos can be found online. The A's aren't asking for anything special or out of the ordinary. Just the opposite, they're asking for the same treatment everyone else gets.
I am sure they would be released, under the sunshine law, if anyone would ask for them.
The videos are not online because no one has asked for them. These video visitations are released under the Sunshine Law, not because it is Casey A.

After the last document dump, the sticker, the blanket, I do think it is worth one more try. You never know unless you try.
well, once JB gets to see all the evidence he might just be the one that sticks a fork in KC

Sorry for the O/T, but I really enjoy your posts!
Which would only mean something if the Anthony's were asking for a private untaped visit. AGAIN, they're only asking that the video not be released to the public.
From the link:
ORLANDO, Fla. - George and Cindy Anthony's lawyer confirmed that the family wants to set up a special private video visit with Casey Anthony.
Brad Conway, the Anthonys attorney, said the family realizes the video session with Casey Anthony would have to be monitored by jail staff but they do not want a video of it released.
So well stated, elementary! I agree, and I also wish they would just stay out of the spotlight. B. Conway needs to stop his little everyday press conferences.
The Anthony's have had their memorial and I did not post one single thing about it yeaterday except on the jewelry thread. I had given myself a self imposed T/O on that subject. All I can say is that I loved the music. Now that the memorial is over and the trial seems to be a year away, I wish they would just stay out of the public eye and the press.
And I do not think they should have a private visit.
