Regardless of how they act or what they say...they have personally suffered the loss of Caylee at most-certainly their own daughter's hand. And are now they're facing the loss of - regardless of how you may feel about her - their daughter.

Who knows what goes on behind the curtain. I am certain though that nothing they say or do can possibly change the hellish reality they awake to each day. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

After reading your post, I had to re-think what I was going to type. I surely wouldn't want to find out how I would feel and I do have some empathy left for the Anthony's. They will definitely suffer for the rest of their lives.

That being said. I will probably watch the show, but I have a feeling I will feel like I just got off the Tea Cups at Disneyland.

What I think: cha-ching... that is it. We know they are going to lie... we know they are going to put Casey on a pedestal and claim her innocence. So what else is there to it: more money for them in the form of NBC footing their bill to the most popular city for Christmas vacations.

This family sickens me... they know, THEY KNOW, what their daughter did. It is sad that a public full of strangers are the ones that are in Caylee's corner... not her own family.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again (and probably again, and again, and again)...

I think the A's are doing everything in their power to get her convicted!

Every time they open their mouths, they drive another nail into her DP conviction.

JMO, MOO, MHO, etc...

Thats an interesting take. Do you believe it's their intention to get her convicted? Or just stupidly opening their mouths? Or avoiding the proverbial bus?

Okay, I might watch this time. Maybe something will change, but in a different way than I used to want-

I used to want them to condemn KC's actions. Now, I no longer expect them to do that, but I have a little hope that the fake scenarios and blaming on other people might stop.

I used to want them to tell us what a scuzbag she really is. Now I have a little hope that they will tell us they love her no matter what may have happened.

I used to think CA was going to fight this to the end, now I have to wonder if she realizes it is a mighty big snowball coming down this hill, one that she can't stop.

I know I have posted many times that if CA just shut-up and stuck with the basics of being a supportive parent, I would leave her alone-She had been quiet for a while and I have not sought out any new behavior from her to criticize-I don't expect to turn a corner with them, but maybe find them somewhere in between.

You know what makes me nauseous? The thought of CA with her voice barely above a whisper saying, "We don't know. We just want to know what happened." And GA nodding in agreement like a puppet. That scene makes me sick. Since when does CA whisper unless she's being interviewed on TV? The whole thing is a sham, from start to finish.

Do the Anthony's not realize that South Florida watches the Today Show too?

:innocent:

What gives?
Unless they say that they want justice for Caylee no matter who did it, I don't want to hear from them ever again!

I think it's intentional, they can't go on "Air" and not support their daughter, but everything they say goes against everything that a "grieving" grandparent would do.

You can love your child even after they've made the worst mistakes they can possibly make.

You cannot go "on record" hating that child.

So proclaim your love, while making sure the conviction happens :(

I agree with you 100% - as the loss of their grand daughter really sinks in, and the probably reality of both losing their daughter, and what their daughter did to cause the death of their grand daughter, they must be/will be suffering tremendous grief. I would prefer they keep that curtain closed instead of causing grief to other people's lives with their accusations and making a spectacle of themselves with their lies in front of any camera that will listen to them.

Twas the night before filming, when all through the forum
Not a poster was approving, withholding decorum.
The Anthonys' intentions were examined with care,
And hopes they would be honest swirled through the air.

But me, I knew better. My doubts were well plead.
I knew their old script; twas nothing to dread.
So me in my kerchief and dh in his cap
Will continue on morning with our long winter's nap.

[SNARK] Well, duh. They've been out of the media far too long, and they have to make ends meet, ya know? [/SNARK]

Thank you for your response. It's very thought provoking and I'm really going to give it some serious consideration. It would explain some of their actions and words. It even lends credence to Cindy's breakdown at the Courthouse last Friday.

This is one of the reason's I love WS. To read so many opinions from so many different walks of life with very intelligent points of view.

You know honestly I don't think ANYONE could begrudge the A's if they just went on TV and said- We don't know what happened but we will always love our daughter and granddaughter and leave it at that, but that's NOT what they do. They work very very hard at fabricating and obstructing the investigation, in fact harder than they ever spent looking for their missing granddaughter. IMO.

Watch out JA - the A bus is heading your way.....

Didn't Baez say that they can't visit Casey because each visit will be scrutinized by the public? Wouldn't there be much less public scrutiny if George and Cindy stopped making so many appearances with the press?

I am so not surprised considering Brad was on the Today Show on Saturday and Brad doesn't go too far away without the Anthony's. There is always a reason why the Anthony's go on the media tour.

Instead of appearing in front of millions of people, perhaps they should go and sit in front of ONE person. :banghead:

Patty, you win my post of the day award with your statement. And that one person would probably appreciate it far better than the millions of folks watching it coz you know folks watching it are gonna have some evil thoughts after listening to Cindy! Heck, I'm having evil thoughts just THINKING of her!!!! :furious:

But hey....it's Christmas and they need MORE MONEY (ya know..presents for Casey! ha ha NOT!) - not to mention a free trip to New York.

I wish they would ask some serious questions, but it will be softball city.

1. How much money total have you made of of this case to date?
2. When are you returning to work?
3. Why, since you say you want the truth, do you not simply waive any confidentiality agreement and allow Dominick to answer questions? What in the world?
4. Is it true that Bad and Dominick are part of a media deal you are working on with S & S Publishers?
5. Why don't you just do what every other family in Florida does when their loved one is in jail, go for the visit and keep it light and do not discuss the case?
6. Since the judge forecast he will give Casey time served why is she not pleading guilty to the crimes she is caught on tape , the fraud charges?
7. Do they want Casey to get a new lawyer?
8. What are we to make of Lee's absence in the court?

9. How is Grandma and will she testify if the state needs her to? How is poor Grampa?
10. Why have they disparaged poor Amy and Ricardo and Jesse?
11. Do they deny that they set out to blame this on Jesse?
12. What exactly would it take to prove to them that Casey is responsible?

I want the tape played of Cindy calling the detective and telling him "Casey had to have had help", and for her to be asked about that.

I wanted George's FBI interview tape played where he sets out in great detain the reason he doesn't like the smell in that trunk and the reason as a homicide detective he KNOWS the smell of decomposition and that it a SMELL ONE NEVER FORGETS, EVER, and I want him to be asked about it.

Isn't their book due out soon, too? I'll bet there's a plug for that.
