TWO WOLVES

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.

"One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

"The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Amen, girl!

I have not read this thread through but if there were ONE question that I could have asked would be this (by Matt of course).

Matt: Cindy, you say you had no knowledge of Dominic Casey going out into those woods prior to the tapes being released after December 11th, 2008. So, why would your son, Lee Anthony say that you told him PRIOR to December 11th, 2008 that you sent Dominic out there on a psychics tip?

People say that Cindy didn't have on any makeup at the hearing, but I looked at a pic slideshow and could see mascara and eyeshadow. It looked like she also had on some light foundation. I don't think she had a facelift, but has lost so much weight and might have had some botox or skin peel treatments. I'll be interested to see how she looks on this show. I'm one of the few who feels sorry for Cindy. All the appearances and defense of Casey isn't going to help though. They are probably terrified that Casey will end up in general prison population.

In most cases when a child has been killed people do support the parents and grandparents, however, in Cindy and George's case it is very difficult to do that. Cindy and George began to circle the wagons to protect and cover for Casey BEFORE they even knew that Caylee was the one that had died. When you have a person that is more concerned about keeping their murdering (IMO) child out of prison than they are about the person that their murdering (IMO) child killed then all sympathy tends to go out the window.

IF (and I know this would never in a million years happen) George and Cindy went on TV and said they were terribly sorry for how they have handled things, admit to what their part in this is (cleaning out the car, lies for Casey, etc), admit that their daughter did in fact kill their grandchild and needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law then I would say that there would be a major turn around for them as far as public opinion goes.

Their (George and Cindy's) first mistake was cleaning out that car and finding/talking with Casey BEFORE they called 911. Instead of being selfish they should have imagined what the parents, grandparents, family and friends of the person that had died would be feeling. They should have understood that that family needed justice. Now that they know THEY are that family they want to sweep it all under the rug but if it had been someone else that had killed Caylee you can bet that they would be screaming for justice!

I hope the money they make off of Caylee helps them sleep at night because when judgement day comes there will be he!! to pay and they have no one but themselves to blame.

Why???

Why do CA & GA have to go on the Today show to say "We don't know what happened??"

They've said it at least once in previous media events, so why do you have to jet around the country to say it AGAIN, if not just to get monetary compensation for photo licensing fees? So disgusting and lowdown.

Isn't it amazing how there was nothing but the sound of **crickets chirping** from them when the forensics from the car, paper towels and entemologists came out a few weeks ago?

And for the love of justice, why can't Matt or Meredith ask some hard core questions instead of the pattycake interviews that we've seen when the Anthonys appear on the Today Show?

If feel a headache coming on already...I think I need a nightcap BEFORE I go to bed and one when I wake up to handle this in the morning. :furious:

I bet we will absolutely NOT hear them say "We don't know what happened" tomorrow. I have a feeling they will back pedal and say they believe 100% Casey had nothing to do with this and RK/JG/AH/etc is the person to be looking at.

IIRC I have never heard C and G ever directly say they "don't know what happened" it's always always been BC who makes that statement.

Ga and Ca have a right to protect their Daughter through thick and thin. They still have the image of Casey being just like Caylee not that long ago. I have a 27 year old son, and I think of him to this day as though he was still 3 or 4 years old. That image will never leave my mind. I know all about tough love, but it comes to a point when all there is left is love from the heart.

I respectfully disagree. I have a son, too and part of my role as a parent is instilling a moral code and value system and facilitating his growth as a decent member of society. I love him more than life itself but if my son was living a life that was not in his best interests and those of society's, it behooves me to face it so that I can help him. I would let him know that because I love him so much I'm going to move mountains to get him psychological help. Instead of burying my head in the sand and doing everything in my power to ensure that he doesn't face any consequences, I would make sure that he did. I would tell him that I love him, but the world is not his oyster. That's the plain, hard truth. Whether it's considered tough love or not, I don't know, but I do know that it's moral, compassionate and honest love born of my instinctive need to nurture and protect him. No matter what he did, I would always love him, unconditionally. However, part of that love is teaching him the difference between right and wrong.

I wonder if I may ask those watching tomorrow (I can't watch) for their opinions about if CA has had things done to her face. I ask this with the best of intentions. CA has been missing, hasn't she? ...and we all wondered if perhaps she was finally coming to her senses and avoiding the limelight. I submit..the REAL reason she has been missing is because she's been healing from procedures.
At the hearing she appeared with her hair very different and no makeup. I have had a couple of procedures myself (when I was around CA's age..I'm about 6 years older than she is). Appearing in public with a radically new hairdo and no makeup is a strategy and something that the doctor's office will tell you to do. The idea is that people will think that you look different for those reasons...instead of for the real reasons..cosmetic procedures. My reason for bringing this up is to bring to light that even more blood money is being used in unusual ways. I presume CA feels she needs work for her new profession...saving "missing" children. CA ought to be put on notice that she is not kidding anyone. Caylee pays for everything now.

Eww, serious? Her lip looks like a monkey? She best ask for a refund!

Twas the night before filming, when all through the forum
Not a poster was approving, withholding decorum.
The Anthonys' intentions were examined with care,
And hopes they would be honest swirled through the air.

But me, I knew better. My doubts were well plead.
I knew their old script; twas nothing to dread.
So me in my kerchief and dh in his cap
Will continue on morning with our long winter's nap.

:sleep::sleep::sleep:
You really need to forward this post to every media outlet out there. This is just priceless!!

Me, too, NTS. I recently told my son that in my mind he'll always be my baby...and ya know what he said? "Mom, please think of me as an adult." (Of course I do...but he's my firstborn...well you know how that goes.) That's where the As may have gone very, very, wrong. They never did encourage Casey to be an adult...and encourage is the key word here.

Cha...Ching...

Most likely mentioning their Foundation for Missing Children. I guess we all forgot that it is about the time for that congressman to give out money for the missing children programs in ORlando. I recall last year that he was allowed to allocat 500,00 for the Orlando area non-profit for missing children. Wonder if there will be a lot of competition for the money....hmmm.

I'm dragging my post over for you from another thread. You are so right about setting the child up for adulthood. The lazy, emotionally unintelligent way Casey was raised set her up to fail miserably, and I wish the Anthonys would be asked about it since they say on these shows how proud they are of her. Another poster maintains that they act in good faith for their daughter and Casey paying back BOA was an act of good faith on her part.
"Casey has never ever done anything in good faith,

not since she stole checks from Lee,
participated in every senior activity including graduation photos, and waited till the bitter end to explain why she was not actual going to graduate,
stole money from Lee, agreed to buy the car from Lee, paid ONE or TWO, count it....one, or two payments to him then stopped paying and never kept her promise,
stole money from George
lied for SEVEN months about not being pregnant, resulting in no prenatal care for the baby, denied who the real father could be, to this day her folks don't know for sure, Caylee had other grandparents somewhere out there and they were denied knowing her too, or even mourning her at her memorial for the love of GOD!!!
Let us think about her history of veracity......
since she tried to trap Jesse in to thinking he was the father of her baby,
being engaged to their son, taking advantage of the Grund family who babysat her child, while she was on facebook/myspace posting about her sexual relationship or flirtations with JESSE's classmates in the police academy, since she had her friend babysit everyday while she pretended to go to work but actually went out clubbing,
I believe she lied to Jesse about her story of Lee trying to have sex with her, (MY OPINION ONLY)
to when she stole so many thousands and thousand of dollars and maxed out Cindy's credit so bad she had to cash in her 401K, and they nearly had their home foreclosed on when Casey lied and falsified a bank deposit slip that showed she deposited 4K in to her parents account to pay mom back
to when she faked a robbery from Sports Authority where she faked employment,
to when she would waltz into Cindy's work at Gentiva, with her Universal tag around her neck, ( did I mention her explanation for not having her own, she told mom it was a game they played, trading name badges and passes, she and her imaginary friends, FROM THREE YEARS AGO when she did work there) , on her way to her fake job while she dropped off little Caylee,
to the many nights she stayed at Ricardos with the baby, in the same bed sometimes, and told mom and pop that she and Caylee were at the Nannys
Good faith means :Honesty; a sincere intention to deal fairly with others. She is the most dishonest person, evil , pathological in her lies.
Let's think back
to when she stole money from a check gram had written for a birthday present,
to when she stole money from her grandfather's nursing home account where I trust his funds are quite limited and NEEDED,
to where she was romancing three other guys while telling Tony she was his girlfriend,

oh..this is my personal favorite.....she strung poor Amy along and let her think she was moving in with Casey, to the extreme that she even had her change her address, while Amy is working two jobs, really struggling, yet ever the friend at the ready loans Casey money for gas cans, a tow truck and even loans her her car, only to return to have mom Cindy telling her, "You'll never get that money back, it is gone forever!" Later that night, Cindy finds in Casey's purse some of what could very well be money she knows to be owed to poor Amy, what does mom do, pocket it without missing a beat!,
Think back to Cindy's painful police interview where she is emotionally in shatters, think back to
where she was supposedly in another city , yet neighbors saw her sneaking home every day, and Tony said she would steal food from her mom's freezer and bring it over and cook for him and the boys:
Cindy quoted in D. Fanning's book
p. 171

After noting that Casey made sure Cindy wasn't home when Casey came back rummaging through the house--

"She'd go and take the stuff she needed, and stole money every time. But she never took anything for Caylee. No shoes, no pajamas, no dolls, no anything."

Let's think back to her good faith

to where she possibly drugged her friend Amy and stole her $400.00 and then told her she was sleep walking and lost it, according to what she told Tracey, she has a clear understanding that like a Rufie, CHLOROFORM will knock one out
to where she lied to Ryan and borrowed $400 or $500 she said she needed for rent to her folks who she lied to every day, several times a day
to the many, many, may lies she told about Caylee being here or there for the 31 days, to the bras, sunglasses, beer and snacks she bought on Amy's stolen checks "while in a time of desperation" that the cell pings PROVE she was never where she claimed she was,
to the colorful Zanny had a car accident and was hospitalized story
to the $90 she borrowed and never paid back to Amy for towing her car, to tellin Amy that George ran over a squirrel and it was "plastered to the front frame" of her car, meanwhile.... she told Lee that Tony helped her get out the two DEAD squirrels that had climbed up in the hood of her car and died ( too bad the smell was originating from the trunk, rump row),
to the times she stole gas,
to the phony names and numbers she sent her OWN FAMILY on wild goose chases trying to call, poor Lee was spending twelve hours a day chasing down her LIES,
to the times she lied and lied and lied to the police who were trying to help, her look for her daughter, for example, because I know the rules here require us to use links or quotes to back up what we say " Transcript from LE interview of Casey at Universal:

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK. All right. Let`s go through this again. We`re here because? We got here how, to do what?

CASEY ANTHONY: Because I lied, because I brought you up here.

------------------------------------------------------

MELICH: You know you pointed out, you pointed at the 3rd floor window and you said, well, that's what's her name's bedroom, and Zani's bedroom is right below...is on the other side. That's what you told me. So, that was a lie?

CASEY: That was a lie.

SGT ALLEN: And that was going to help find her how? Telling...lying about, lying about that bedroom, where is Zani's bedroom that was gonna help find her how? Huh?

CASEY: It's not helping."

to the lies she told to accuse Ms. Gonzalez,
to the lies she told to accuse Jesse,
to the lies she told to allow Jose to accuse Amy..... my hands are getting tired. I am honestly perplexed ......how can they expect the good taxpayers on the jury to believe she did anything in good faith?

Good faith is an abstract and comprehensive term that encompasses a sincere belief or motive without any malice or the desire to defraud others. It derives from the translation of the Latin term bona fide, and courts use the two terms interchangeably.

You are kidding , right?

Everything Casey has done, every single thing ,has been the epitome of "in bad faith", imo.

We just disagree. I am asking with respect how you arrive at your conclusion, because I want the state to be prepared to answer every reasonable doubt any juror may have.

Bad faith should be her middle name, framing Jesse and now Kronk come to mind: intentional dishonest acts There is a huge difference from a "misunderstanding" and the charges Amy alleges in her criminal complaint AND WHAT THE STATE HAS HER ON VIDEO AT THE BANK AND TARGET OF HER COMMITTING FRAUD and I for one if asked to believe Casey or Amy and the tapes....... believe Amy's account. All day long.

The only thing she may have ever said that was honest was I need help, I feel like I am losing it, I want to commit myself and what happened.....she talked to mom, next thing you know she tells her buddies, never mind, mom says everything is ok.

Can I get a witness? I welcome her to take the stand and explain the "misunderstandings". I have said it here before jokingly, but the juries down here in Texas would have none of this, they would say something along the lines of "Get a rope!"

Are they getting paid?

  • #117
Well no-one "pays" outright for the interviews but they do pay for perks (think crab-puffs and Ritz-Carlton stays) and "licensing" fee's for any pictures used. Grrrrrrrrr.

I will be glad to see them on TV tomorrow. Maybe they will clarify why they left the courtroom.

I wonder if JB is getting ready to walk? I don't see what's holding him back from it now.

These people, the Anthony's, really confuse me. I truly believe they miss their grand daughter. Yet, I don't understand why they are defending their daughter who allegedly killed her.
