Day’s son-in-law, Brian Ades, said the 95-year-old’s family would usually drive her around town for any errands, but it wasn’t unusual for Day to drive herself on occasion.

Seamans said sightings of Day have been reported from Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Tennessee and Mississippi. Until her vehicle is located, he said the search will continue to challenge police.

Included is a photo of her car at a gas station, I wonder if it was captured as part of this odyssey. But how if she doesn't have a credit or debit card? Cash? I worry about running out of gas on a desolate road somewhere. So distressing.

Today would be a good day for a rare WS happy ending. This would be a good one for that.

“They have been doggedly tracking down and driving on the back roads, on the main roads,” Seamans said. “Talking to businesses, trying to review camera footage, and that’s been every day.”

“My hope and prayer is that someone will see that car somewhere and call it into police,” he said.

“She and her husband kept to themselves,” said Ades, adding that she likes to crochet and knit. “Interests outside the home were very few.”

From the article

The family believes she might have been in Calico Rock, saying a vehicle like hers was spotted in the city, but Seamans said police haven’t definitively confirmed the vehicle was Day’s.

“My hope and prayer is that someone will see that car somewhere and call it into police,” he said.

The sightings of her are very frequent and then just stop after the 4:57 p.m – Passing Independence County Off Road, Southside, AR Heading South on 167 one.

Looking this up on Google maps, there aren’t really any land features of note. No lake or big rivers she could have ended up in. There is what looks like a small river or stream that goes under the road and some trees just after this point. But I can’t actually see any water on street view, that’s how small, but I’d hope LE checked here.

Otherwise, it’s just highway 167 into Southside, which looks like a pretty big town relative to what’s around it. There would absolutely be cctv. Whatever happened to her happened past the Off Road shop and before the next camera in Southside, either she turned off or she had an accident along that road and hasn’t been found. JMO

95 years old though, bless her, I hope she’s out there somewhere safe.

I’d like to know where the next camera is along 167. They have tracked her so meticulously to that point just outside of Southside and then nothing. She can’t have disappeared into thin air. If she doesn’t appear on the next cctv and without loads of roads she could turn off on, she will be along the highway somewhere.
