I talked to JC on October 18 about her running away. JC said that she ran away twice before but only since BR had come into the picture. She was gone for 3-4 days then came back. IMO, if you knew that she had ran away previously then telling others that you assume she ran away again would not seem as suspicious. It would prolong looking for any evidence of foul play. If LE didn't suspect foul play for at least a week then look at how much time someone has to get rid of any evidence and cover any tracks and go unnoticed while doing it. This is the part that worries me.

BBM - If Cassie had ran away previously and was gone that long...was there a report/documentation to verify this? If no report was made in the previous leavings and they were that long, why "sound the alarms" so to speak after just a few hours this particular time? IMO, that seems odd. What did the mom do when these other run away events happened? Even if she didn't report it to the police, did she say anything to family/friends? Was their any communication between Cassie and Judy during those previous leavings? Where did Cassie go for 3-4 days? What happened when she came home? I know there may not be any answers to these question any time soon, if at all, but something just seems "off".

OK, I am hoping our verifieds can weigh in on any time line we attempt. BR went to police via bicycle prior to calling TS?

I mean the fact that he didnt just call LE from the house has me scratching my head but he went to PD before he called the people she was last seen with?

Huh?

I don't think so. I always took it as at 9:14pm he called TS for the first time. A while later he called TS back, and then called her a third time after that. She had told him the first two times to call the PD. When she told him during the third phone call to call the PD he told her that he did. So I always thought it was the time frame between call #2 and #3, but we only know the time of the first call. The last call could be at 10:01pm or it could be at 12:01am. We don't know.

This was my understanding of how this went as well. So he called multiple times, even though he had seen/heard her in the house at 605PM or so and then leaped on his bike to pedal madly to PD at a late hour rather than picking up the phone and calling...cause clearly he had phone access if he was calling TS multiple times.

Really?

BR/JC window of opportunity is from around 6:05 to what ever time he showed up to PD...if he showed up at PD and reported her because that detail is still kind of confused as far as I can see. One of our VI's indicated they had seen a police report that detailed notes taken on Sunday night by a police officer who then contacted a supervisor. In any case, 605-914PM is pretty wide and it gets wider if the timeline is 605PM-whenever he presented himself at the Police Station. If he did. HS timeline is so much tighter....and pretty easily verified via pings and GPS etc. Certainly that text message he received showed his location when he received it.

So was she reported missing on Sunday night or as a repeat runaway?

I'd like to add Brandon's arrest date, does anyone have that handy? Not sure if we can also add DB's arrest date? IIRC they were around the same time?

I'm going to add when JC & BR were openly referred to as suspects, off to find date.

DB is not a suspect and was in custody the time of Cassie's disappearance. Please do not use him in your time line.

Thanks,
Tricia

WHY?

Why not call from the house. Obvious there was a phone available. Why not JC calling the LE to report? Why not he AND JC driving to the PD? Why BR and not JC? It is her child not his.

Makes one wonder when coupled with JC saying he was always grabbing the phone and otherwise interrupting her when she DID eventually talk to LE if he pedalled himself on over to the PD without JC present in order to be the one in charge of the information reported without JC having any input into that dissemination of information about the situation.

This is like a splinter - it bothers and continues to bother.

Yeah I dont get the non driving thing. JC and BR could have hopped in the car and reported her together. Even if she was sick, she could have gone with him. She was frantic, right? Calls to Cassie were going right to VM or her phone was out of minutes or something. Whatever it was about the situation caused them to want to report her missing on that night at that point. Did we settle that there were multiple calls to TS prior to the bike trek to PD?

Just some random thoughts....

I hope that BR's things have not been removed from JC's house. We know that BR is in jail, and it was speculated that when he left JC's home that he had nowhere to really go. He has lived with JC for at least 2 1/2 years if I have read that correctly. As humans we accumulate "things" and over a period of a couple of years depending on how much of a packrat we are, we could accumulate a LOT of things. His things need to be looked at really well. Especially things like electronic devices like current and old cell phones.
He could have planned this and waited for the right time, or he could he put his thoughts out there somewhere in a text or some form of documentation, it could be anything, like an old text to a friend saying something like "I wish that stupid brat was out of the way" (that's just an example... I am NOT saying that as a FACT)

It is getting cold. I do not know about you, but I live further south than Stuttgart Arkansas and even I am having to wear some warmer clothes. Cassie went missing in shorts. In the event that this is a runaway (and I do not feel it is) whoever she is with is going to have to lay down some cash for some warm clothes. My spouse called me to "check in" earlier, he was in SNOW and the temp was well below 30 and dropping where he was when he called me. He had stopped to put on his under armor. Were only in November, this is just the start of the COLD weather.

I do hope Cassie is found before the first snowfall and that at least enough evidence is still intact to make a case.

And the multiple calls to TS. Why is it BR making them? Does this signify a certain submission to BR as the "man" of the house to handle such things? Very bizarre to me.

Cassie having allegedly run away for several days in the past, why was everyone so frantic when she went missing but not so frantic as to be out there beating on doors and screaming on social media that this girl is missing?

Why is BR the one doing all the calling and pedalling? What the heck is the deal here?

Was BR told 72 hours wait to take a report?

So many questions. usually pieces tend to fit together. Nothing is fitting together here. Each piece causes me to question the shape of the last.

For a man who doesn't have steady work or big money to woo a lady he sure has some kind of control doesn't he? No woman should be controlled no matter the situation, but this guy brings NOTHING to the table period!

Just popping in real quick here....but did I miss amongst all the posts where Cassie went, these other times she 'ran away'?

  • #255
I don't think it has been stated Oriah. It was second or third hand info sourced to JC is how I took it. I don't know that any other detail was provided.

Something about BR's call to TS must felt very odd to TS for her to suggest the police. Cassie seemed to have much more freedom than my kids, but calling after two hours seems a little extreme, even to me. Tlcya, you are so right about this puzzle. Nothing fits and everything seems off.

We keep wondering WHY JC herself did not call, file reports etc. We have heard that she is passive so to say, and lets people get away with things they should not.

At the beginning of this case I wondered why JC was in the bed, and why she did not make these reports herself and at that point I wondered if she was high on something and did not want to be around LE because of being high on an illegal substance. Now before I go any further, I know there will be those who are going to say things like she would not do drugs because she is a Christian, but lets face it, just because someone is a Christian that does not make them a saint. I have seen deacons of the church drink to much booze and abuse their families, we've seen clergymen abuse their power and indulge in pedophilia, and other lustful engagements, some even high profile. So it is not out of the realm of possibility that JC was under the influence of something either of her own willingness or even having it administered to her without her knowing what was happening.

At the October 18 search, she had a patch on her arm... it looked more like a fentanyl patch than nicotine. Her disability I'm guessing has something to do with injury and resulting pain. I'm guessing this was probably not the only pain medicine she was on... doctor's usually don't prescribe just one.

Or it is possible (I hate to even say it) that something happened-accident or otherwise-to Cassie & BR was more "together" to see the cover up threw & JC was freaking out or emotional about it & not in any condition to so those things so BR did while she got her "act" together. Hate to say these things...but it's in my head as a possibility.
