Sorry for all of the back to backs-Do some of our verified insiders have photographs of the search areas...not ones with people necessarily but ones that can give us an idea of the terrain being targeted? Pouring over coordinates on Google Earth isnt the same. :)

I know back a ways on this or other thread, someone had asked where she might go to get cigs...and Dollar General on Buerkle was mentioned.
According to their website, it closes at 10 pm on Sundays...assuming she did indeed head to get cigs...would it be more likely for her to head there, or to one of the businesses on 22nd? Which area is less busy Sunday evenings, assuming she would not want to be as readily seen? And I noticed a Super 8 motel next to Dollar General....what the scoop on that place...cater to truckers passing thru, or?? More so than Days Inn or Best Western?

Oh...and any motel in particular considered the 'oh gosh don't stay there, it's bad' one?

Wonder if LE ever got video of any places she could have gone to get cigs....
Locals, any thoughts ?
AND did her mama or anyone ever say places she would walk to??
I still find it hard to believe no one saw her walking any where that evening, if she did...if so they sure aren't saying so that we know about.
Forget the darn ducks, where is CASSIE!?!

OK-I feel like we are getting somewhere again...good stuff and thank you. Garbage days-clearly there were certain days the garbage was picked up-does anyone know when the garbage outside of the Compton's house was picked up? And I wonder what day LE started to feel that they had a MP case and not a runaway? Any sense from the folks around Stuttgart? At some point her status changed and at some point JC and BR because suspects in her disappearance, kwim?

The reason I ask is because if her "runaway" status became MP status prior to garbage day, it seems possible that LE would have picked up the trash from her house. If there wasnt a dawning until after garbage day, it might be worth finding where their trash went when it was picked up that week if you get what I am sayin.

not your most photogenic? You take lovely pictures!! :blowkiss: Now are these the locations from one of the 2-3 searches that were done by volunteers or are these some areas that saw some search traffic from Law Enforcement?

Sorry that I can't be more specific -- just that it didn't involve volunteer groups. And you were actually asking about TERRAIN . . . I just gave you grass, woods and water.

gotcha got4. TY. I think we have some other VI's who indicated they were on searches as well, so maybe we can get a cross section of photos and get a good idea of what the direction is in terms of focus for the searchers.

I've wondered about dumpsters, too. Sadly, it was so long after her last seen time before her missing status was taken seriously. There is a dumpster that sits one block north, and 1 block west of Cassie's house (at the car wash). Using the alley would have provided cover for transport.

I believe a cadaver dog would still scent if a dead body was in that dumpster.

I know back a ways on this or other thread, someone had asked where she might go to get cigs...and Dollar General on Buerkle was mentioned.

Actually, it is an EZ Mart convenience store mentioned at 5th and Buerkle (16 blocks away). This route is less busy than going to the EZ Mart on 22nd and Main (10 blocks away). Walking to Buerkle is more residential and less busy. I still wouldn't walk that far in boots to either store, especially if I had been in them all weekend and at the derby! When you begin talking about the dollar store nearest the motels/Valero on the main Hwy. 79, they are a good 20+ blocks away and would require walking through the predominantly African-American part of town. She would have been easily noticeable in that area which has at least three African-American churches (dismissing services ?) along the route. The Best Western is the high-end motel, with Super 8 mid-range and an Economy Inn being more for the cheaper and weekly rate stays.

(I am not local - I just know a lot of teenagers)
In my opinion, & experience, It will be well-known by teens (whether they smoke or not) which store(s) will sell cigarettes without checking age/I.D. There's usually *one* in most small towns, probably more in larger ones.

Cassie's friends will know. IMO/IME teens will also be willing to walk quite a way to get them.

(FWIW, in my small town, it's an independent, small, general store).

Cassie had just come home from staying the night with friends over the weekend. Nothing unusual, her mother said. She remembers saying, “Hi, baby girl,” as she affectionately called her, but she had been sick and in her bedroom. Judy said she never heard the door open when she left.
And that was the last time she saw or spoke to her. The next morning when she found that she wasn’t in her bedroom she started texting Cassie. After no quick response, she sent anothe text. Then she started calling. Her mother said Cassie always answered her phone — text or call. Even if she was hanging with friends, like some teenagers do and ignore that phone call from mom, she never did.

So did Judy see her or just hear her? And when was Cassie reported missing?

I do believe upon rereading the articles that it was CASSIE that was sick and in her bedroom, not JC. Anyone else?

 • #375
Maybe Judy was unaware that BR had pedaled madly to PD. Sure is starting to feel like Judy wasnt awake for much of this night after Cassie returned home. I was surprised, tbh, when Twinmom indicated that there was a police report which confirmed that BR had spoken with police on the night of 9/14. Because articles like this one seemed to indicate Cassie wasnt reported missing until the following day.

I can see where the article might read like Cassie was sick in bed ninij9. I think we have all been operating on the assumption that Judy was in bed sick when Cassie came home...

These guys are out there. As I said in a previous post- they target lonely women and live off of them promising all kinds of things as long as they can until the truth comes out. A different kind of predator for sure.

WHY?

Why not call from the house. Obvious there was a phone available. Why not JC calling the LE to report? Why not he AND JC driving to the PD? Why BR and not JC? It is her child not his.

Makes one wonder when coupled with JC saying he was always grabbing the phone and otherwise interrupting her when she DID eventually talk to LE if he pedalled himself on over to the PD without JC present in order to be the one in charge of the information reported without JC having any input into that dissemination of information about the situation.

This is like a splinter - it bothers and continues to bother.

Behind and catching up again.

1. Maybe there had to be a written report and
2. When called into PD that she was missing the conversation would have gotten to
3. Did she runaway before? The answer would have been yes. so the assumption might have been
4. She ran away again lets give it some time.
5. Was JC's car functional that night? If they had to do a written report would JC stay home in case Cassie came home?

Just some thoughts. You may have already thought of these.

I did a screen grab from the search on October 4th showing a map with perhaps grid patters? Maybe Oriah and sre can help with this.
