So the newest article has LE as being quoted that they have no new leads, but two weeks ago they stated they were following up on leads daily.....
(MY OPINION ONLY) I bet the ones who were being quoted have full food plots, ammo charged and ready, double checked all the gear to make sure they did not need to make quick replacements of anything, and the quads ready with fresh oil and filters. This whole missing little girl thing has just dragged on into their precious deer and duck season, and now they cannot be bothered. (MY OPINION ONLY)
I cant help but think how differently this story would be, the publics involvement be, the media presence would be, the total awareness would be if this were the 15 year old daughter of say.... the owner of the big sporting goods store in town, or the daughter of the plant manager for Riceland, instead of the daughter or a divorced woman with a boyfriend young enough to be her own child, who is disabled and lives on pain meds and disability. I think we ALL know that the story would be different.
Regardless of who's this child belongs to, this IS A CHILD and for ONCE in her life, she needs some responsible adults to help her. Poor Cassie, the odds were so against her, it seems maybe even from the very start. You can bet if I had things that bad I would have ran from there long ago! Locals, do not let this story turn to dust just because there are local events and family Holidays mudding the waters, please do everything you can to ensure that this child is at the forefront of everyone's minds. Time will pass really fast from now to the first of the year, and with your own going on's it will be easy to forget this child, please do not let that happen to you, or to anyone else in your town.
Ok, I am going to get off my soapbox for now... I am just bothered to the core to see that Cassie is not home and her name is not on the tip of every locals tongue.
