I have only done drive-bys on this thread for the past few weeks, but I've seen discussion questioning involvement of people C may have been with that weekend. My thought on that is, if that were likely, wouldn't JC be throwing shade their direction loud and clear from the beginning? I've always felt that her very limited commentary indicates her own knowledge or suspicion of BR. What do you guys think?

That has been on my mind too. I haven't been able to forget her stating that BR is gone and Cassie can come home now if that is why she hadn't already. Leading me to believe she knows something happened between BR and Cassie. But she had to throw that out there to keep from being looked at as an accomplice to whatever really happened.

If Cassie were my daughter those people she spent the weekend with and the one who supposedly drove her home would have probably had to take out a restraining order on me! They'd be so sick of seeing and hearing from me relentlessly! That is if we go with the theory that JC and BR truly know nothing. Therefore I do not believe they know nothing. And JC kicking BR out and then moving to OK seems like she might want to get as far away from this situation as she can. Which is also messed up! JMO

I think she thinks she heard Cassie come home, and that Cassie ran away. But since no one heard from or saw Cassie, I don't know why she's hanging on to that except that she just can't let her mind go exactly where ours has.

I don't think JC moved. She mentioned in a post that they could both go home to OK. On top of there being an open investigation, they more than likely won't let her leave the state. Imo, I don't think JC actually knows what happened that's why she has grasped at the idea of BR and a couple others that may be responsible. Six months of rumors could make one believe anything if they really don't know. I think JC posts as if she's ran away as a way to keep hope alive. And I'm with you, they all would be tired of me too.

Maybe I misread that she went to Oklahoma. I'll have to re-read some articles again. And yes, it is a possiblitly she can't let her mind go where ours already has gone. Maybe she is still hoping she ran away. But after all this time and no word from her I am finding that hard to believe. I wish it was what happened and that she is safe somewhere but my gut says no. I'm hoping I'm wrong.

3 worst cases are ran away, kidnapped or murdered. I have always felt that the first is easiest to swallow, live with and wake up every day with. But there is something else. Addressing the loved one, a child , has the effect of personalizing that child - of making her a person, someone's loved one. It diffuses the notion that she is a thing to be used, or property to be disposed of. NOT addressing the perpetrator depersonalizes him, removes his self importance, as well as possibly not spooking him .
I constantly see mothers maligned because they are not 'acting' they way we think they should. The above, of course does not work with a 5 year old because it is clear he has no power to come home. My opinion only.

Why hasnt JC pointed fingers publicly at anyone else? Maybe she wonders if Cassie is still with them, it will prevent her from being hurt. Maybe she believes that Cassie feels affection for someone who might have taken her/left with her and she doesnt want to rock the boat.

Maybe she doesnt think very clearly on a regular basis and has really bad advisers who have a different agenda than finding her daughter.

IDK. Cassie's case is in many ways a one off. We have said it before-if we didnt have access to her now poofed FB page and the MP report, I would be hard pressed to believe if she ever really existed.

She existed, and her purpose for being on earth must have been met.

I think it is absolutely possible. I am so sorry for the loss of your family member. Do you remember how long it was from the disappearance to the discovery of him?

He was missing for about 4 days I believe.

Thank you kindly, msmith3. I appreciate the answer. I have had a loved one missing for decades-it can be unbearable to wait.

OMG! It might be old news to others, but this is the first I've heard of this. *hugs*

Maybe not here, but I will listen to anything and everything you want to say. I am so sorry.

You are very kind, Gig Tu. Not to derail from Cassie's thread, but this disappearance has been my learning curve and my inspiration for a great deal of volunteer work with families of the missing. :)

In the second thread it was mentioned that CC fb was accessed in ca. I may be wrong but I don't think the fb corporate office in ca would log into her acct. Wouldn't they access it through a backdoor? And why would the corporation access it to begin with?

  • #679
Why do you think it was FB Corp that logged into it?

A local that said she accessed her account had mentioned the log in from ca was possibly the corporate office of fb. It's just something I thought about this morning because it made no sense. The log in from ca makes no sense unless it was cc herself i guess. I can't think of what le agency in ca would be involved in a case in ar.
