My question is and will always be Was this premeditated? Because I think it was . I know it was . I have heard that there was another girl that was going to go out with them that night but she " had a bad feeling about it " and did not go. Who was that girl I need names. There is no proof. Did Walter threaten my son? I think so. People need to step up if they know he was threatened . The other three will be charged with hindering. Thats all they will get, even Dustin . What an injustice. I am devastated. The detectives did not even search his house. When I asked the question " did you question his girlfriend" they dont even know who I am referring to. He lived with a girl who should have known something. My son deserves justice.

I have been looking at pictures of Jeremy today. I miss him so very much. His little sister is pregnant and plans to name her baby if it's a boy after him. I known that will mean so much to him. We love him and miss him each and every day. So ready for the murder trial to be over with. It's hard to wait and not know when it will be and what the outcome will be. Still praying for justice for you Jeremy. I love you, Mom

I don't do this very often, but I am Nanny's daughter, and I was very close with both of these guys. I'm hoping I can answer a few questions that have been raised. The girl that was going to go with them that night was good friends with all of us, and she told me that she didn't go because she had a headache and didn't feel very well and that she just laid down, and Lee was still there but when she woke up, he was gone. Was it premeditated? I'm not really sure. I don't think that Lee and Dusty planned it, but there isn't any telling what goes on in Lee's head. From what I've heard, they were all really drunk and Lee brought something up that should have been saved for later and Dusty jumped in. I don't understand why Dusty isn't being charged with more than just hindering. That's crap. I think he should at least be charged with accessory, if not the same as Lee. As for the 'girlfriend' that was mentioned, if you're talking about the girl Jeremy lived with, she doesn't really know anything, but if you're talking about me, I have told the detectives all I know. I don't think Lee ever threatened Jeremy. They had a lot of the same problems so, things tend to get out of hand, but they were best friends. Lee and Jeremy both, when they got upset or mad, had to be talked down. Calmed down or they'd do something incredibly stupid. I've kept them both out of a lot of trouble. I really don't think it was premeditated, but I'm not 100% certain that it wasn't. But, angry drunk people do things that sober people wouldn't do. I don't think that's any excuse or justification at all. Lee deserves to be in jail, and so does his brother Dusty.

Wasn't referring to you at all . But do believe sometimes the detectives are confused cause when I asked them in the beginning if they talked to Jeremys girlfriend they thought I was talking about you. And then when they figured out who I was talking about they told me she didn't want to get involved which was completely inappropriate. I has know idea at that time who killed him and was completely in shock when I found out who did it. And at the sometime am having a really hard time not believing it was premeditated. And yes I too think Dustin should be in more trouble than he is. Evidentaly Arkansas doesn't have an accessory law.

Lee had threatened Jeremy a week prior to his murder with a gun.

<bump> For Jeremy. <3 I found 5 pictures in my phone today of Jeremy, that I had no idea were even there. It kind of made me happy, and sad all at the same time.

Please do not think in anyway I blame you. I
I do not. The detective that talked to me in my opinion was cruel. He did tell me things that i did not know, almost like he deserved what he got. Lord knows my son was not perfect. Who is? He was suffering , he was trying .
I love him and miss him very much so. But please do not think
at any giving moment I blame you. I know my son had a good heart and I am truly happy that he was able to help you.

Was not

Thank you. That means so much to me. Jeremy had a huge heart, and was a really good person. No, he wasn't perfect, but he was trying. I am very thankful to him everyday, for telling me not what I wanted to hear, but the brutal truth. I do tend to blame myself. Maybe if I hadn't of left, none of this would have happened. Maybe if I would have brought him with me like he wanted, he'd be safe. But, you are right, the detectives in Fort Smith are mean. They don't care what really happened. All they see is that they don't have to worry about Jeremy Travis and Walter Walton anymore. They aren't interested in the truth. I miss him so much. Hugs to Jeremy's mom. I can't even imagine how hard this is for you. I'm very sorry.

I have not been on here in so long becuase it just brings it all back. I don't know how J, my sister/Jeremy's mom can stand it. She must be so much stronger than me because I am reduced to crying when I read these things. I then get angry and think how unfair it all is to everyone involved, unfair that he was brutally murdered, unfair that people were abused, unfair that our family is devastated beyond repair and unfair that some people are getting off scot free.

Court date March 30th. Walter tried to bargain 20 yrs The prosecuting attorney turned it down. It's probably gonna go to trial. Sit and wait again!

States with three-strike laws _Arkansas is one of them:

State Strike zone defined:Number of people in prison under three strikes in
Arkansas --there are only 5 in prison currently (why??):
Murder, kidnapping, robbery, rape, terrorist act=Two strikes and you are out
First degree battery, firing a gun from a vehicle, use of a prohibited weapon, conspiracy to commit: murder; kidnapping; robbery; rape; first degree battery; first degree sexual abuse. Three strikes and you are out.

Meaning of "striking out" : Not less than 40 years in prison; no parole.
Range of no parole sentences, depending on the offense.

So, WW was convicted of killing a man, stabbing a guard...will Jeremy's murder be his third strike??

Well today in court Dustin Lee Wallen was told he is a free man
Dont know why

  • #174
<modsnip> Because the charges have not been dropped. I have just talked to the detectives and the prosecuting Attorney office and I have the correct information concerning this case.

  • #175
I was standing there when bondsman and his attorney told him he was free to go

Dustin Wallen bonded out of the Sebastian County Jail in Ft. Smith, Arkansas during the second week of October, 2010 on the Hindering Apprehension charge associated with Jeremy's murder. If he had a hearing yesterday, it would be very unlikely that it is associated with that original charge, unless the bond was revoked, and he was re-arrested for violating that bond. More likely, it is a new and different charge, perhaps totally unrelated to the murder of Jeremy. I would ask " Missing My Sister " if the hearing took place at the Sebastian County Courthouse. I would ask him to determine what the charges were that were dismissed. I doubt very seriously that the Hindering Apprehension charge was dropped. I question whether or not the dismissed charge was even out of Sebastian County. It would be very interesting to get a gander at Dustin Wallen's rap sheet. His criminal history might be very interesting.

Yes that is true and Yesterday Dustin Wallen Wendy Martinez and Deanna Herenandez went to court. Wendy Martinez and Deanna Hernandez was set jury trials in March and Dustin Wallen was told he was free to go with no future court date

  • #178
and Yes it was the Hindering charges

  • #179
One would have to wonder why the courts would drop the charges against Dustin Wallen, while proceeding to trial with the charges against the two women allegedly involved. Very questionable. I must say that I doubt your information as it does not make sense. If Dustin had already bonded out in October on the Hindering Apprehension charge, why did he need a bail bondsman? Was he re-arrested?

Once again I have spoken to the detectives and to the prosecuting attorney office and Dustin does have a trial date scheduled. <modsnip>
