GUILTY AR - Jersey Bridgeman, 6, raped & murdered, Bentonville, 20 Nov 2012 #1

  • #161
I've read mom's and new boyfriend's facebook. I'm going right now with someone within the house & I don't think it's mom or her relative. It could be a neighbor or RSO but waiting for updates. Those tests should be coming in asap.

It appears her death will have an arrest fastly.

Oh, and since I missed a bunch this week, mention of search warrants and why didn't they just let them in the house to search. When Isabel Celis went missing, the TPD, even though they had permission to search the home from the parents, got search warrants for when an arrest is made. They didn't want some defense lawyer saying down the road, they didn't have one and found something. They did just about everything by the book for a trial one day. jmo

Does the delay in securing the warrants indicate the evidence is not strong? tia

TPD has FBI still helping I believe. I don't know if the search warrants have been issued in Jersey's case. I've been away and I don't know if they have obtained sw's or not. If they don't have them yet, that would be odd. The warrant may not have been to the judge's liking or whatever. So it's rewritten.

TPD obtained search warrants the same day we found out they were going to search Isabel's home. They had permission from the family to search but they wanted to do everything by the book. If LE go in to a home to actually do a search, the way they can take all without a warrant, the family could always say we didn't say they could take our computers or our bed linens or whatever in court. I thought it was pretty smart. jmo

The warrants have been served. I'll get a link and edit to add it. I believe they were there "babysitting" the houses Tuesday night until it was finally delivered sometime in the night or morning. I do think you are right that they obtained the warrants so later the defense couldn't say "they only had permission to search areas that related to Jersey, her room, etc" and have their evidence thrown out. I think it was precautionary to make sure anything removed would hold up in court. JMO MOO

ETA- According to the link, the waiting they did was waiting for an additional opportunity to gather evidence. Says they gathered clues all day Tuesday and then waited through the night on Tuesday night for a warrant to gather more evidence. http://www.4029tv.com/news/arkansas...der/-/8897460/17498482/-/15elhl7/-/index.html

The FBI Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team has special agents also assisting in the case.

“Team members typically consist of 4 to 6 members who regionally come in and help you out who are experienced investigators in these types of cases,” says Kimberly Brunell, FBI Special Agent. ”We can offer investigative technical and other expertise assistance to our state and local partners.”

The Bentonville PD appears to have worked effectively and cooperatively with the FBI and multiple other law enforcement agencies on some high profile drug cases. From what I can tell, BPD appears to be very professional and I'm of the opinion that they have their heads wrapped very well around this case.

This 5NEWS account has a somewhat different timeline on the search warrants for the three houses:

Simpson says search warrants were obtained for three houses, within six hours of finding Jersey’s body.

But investigators worked throughout the night gathering evidence.

I knew I had read that somewhere about them already having search warrants. But I definitely saw multiple reports of them waiting for search warrants through part of the night.

I have nothing to base this on, but I wonder if they had the search warrants to her home and the abandoned home really quickly, and had to wait for the search warrant to the trailer in between because it didn't become immediately evident that they'd need it, were waiting on evidence to warrant the search, etc.

ETA- and I agree re: Bentonville PD as a competent entity.

I saw the multiple reports that they waited overnight for the search warrants, too.

I caught this different account earlier today. I think it is new information or more likely newly clarified information.

When asked by 5NEWS whether there is no public safety concern because police have a suspect, Simpson said, “Whenever you start answering questions like that, you’re not doing a very good job of protecting that investigation…The most important thing to recognize is, there’s not a real public safety issue here that needs to be addressed.”
Simpson continued, “Instead, there’s an issue that just needs to be taken care of and that process is already in progress.”

And, this name IS a friend on the mother's facebook friend list. Since he has been named in MSM, I hope this is ok to state. Please let me know if I should edit.

I know, I know I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but looking at some of these people (i.e. Bio dad, step mom, mom's boyfriend and trailer guy) all give me a feeling of unrest.

Prayers going up for your justice sweet Jersey.

I'd think that could be possible after the judge read the reasoning behind the searches and possibly one denied. I think at least two searches were granted and one might not be needed unless they come up empty handed on the other two or many. They may not have even sought the 3rd house/mobile in the middle? It sounds positive to me though. I think there will be an arrest soon.

I really want an arrest soon. Jersey doesn't deserve to have the perp live a real happy life until trial. jmo

....trailer guy refers to step mom before her wedding as soon to be sis so I wonder if he's Jersey's bio-dads brother?

Yikes! Are you sure? I'm going to remove that post, then.

I'm pretty sure.If you look at his friends list there's only one person that has the same last name as him. That person has someone listed as his son and the wedding pictures are his wedding. She sure resembles evil stepmom though.

No, the police have no ruled anyone out publicly. An interviewed EZ Mart employee stated that he had worked all night from 10-7, but that is the closest thing we have to knowing anything on the subject officially.

I thought about that too, her being left there, when I said that it decreases the chances that it was abuse or neglect gone too far. It's impossible to know without more information.

I am pretty sure I read that he was on video surveillance at work during the period of 10 to 7. Wonder what time Jersey went to bed or was last seen? LE states she went missing between the hours of midnight and 6:45 am. Whre does the midnight come from? Is that when mom.went to bed and last sww Jersey?

I am going to try to find a link about the BF on video at work.

ETA I am unable to find a link. Must have read it here or on an artiles coment section. So NO video confirmation of BF's presence at work, just fellow employee confirmation.

Awesome, I have not seen that one yet. I've only seen an employee confirmation.

I am assuming the midnight time comes from when mom last saw her, but I could be wrong.

Police on Tuesday were in the E-Z Mart nearest Jersey’s house, interviewing employees and examining items on store shelves.

Police estimate Jersey’s death took place between midnight and about 6:45 a.m. Thomas worked at the convenience store from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., an E-Z Mart employee told 5NEWS.

Haven't found link regarding BF on survellance at work yet but found the BBM portion odd. Hadn't noticed that before in the article.
