in this interview of the woman who took Jersey's dog after the murder she states the dog was known to be left out wandering at night.

Possibly Jersey could have gone out that night to let the dog in or some reason related to her dog, after her mother (or the relative) was asleep, and Zach Holly was out too and grabbed her and brought her to the abandoned house. The burglary is going into the abandoned I think.

Certainly LE would search the abandoned house/apparent scene of the crime, and always the victim's home, but they also searched Holly's house -- and of course, all 3 houses were taped-off. I also read/heard, IINM, that LE apparently took some items from the trailer house during their search...and I got to wondering until somehow I led myself (?? or something) to think that the occupants of the trailer were an older couple.... ??

I wonder if either or both of the Holly's ever babysat for DesaRae's children. <shudder>

BT had statistics against him (boyfriend of the mom), plus attaching himself to the family quickly and all of a sudden posting what looked like a clumsy attempt at an alibi. This is my third Bentonville death sleuthing, and I am now 0-3 on my initial strong suspicions.

In fact, the sex offender registry for the Bentonville County Sheriff's Office shows that as many as 23 sex offenders live in the Bridgeman neighborhood area, with three address on the registry listed as her direct neighbors: 702, 704 and 706 SE A Street."

Am I correct that the abandoned house in which Jersey was found is 704 SE A Street... one of the addresses of listed RSO's in the article above... or did I write my notes incorrectly?

I do give him credit for the way he handled all this. You know he had to know that people were suspecting him, but I didn't see any reports of negativity from him. I hope I am right and he makes a good home for DesaRae and her little girl. I also pray things will change for her and she can go forward and lead a happy life from now on. jmo

Oh, he was suspect in my eyes as well. There are things that still don't make sense. Like, how did the neighbor take the girl in the middle of the night, without anyone hearing a thing? That house is like 1000 sq ft. We're the kids left alone? I guess we will find out more on Wed.

I originally came here during the start of the Lisa Irwin case. One of the questions that kept coming up, is how would an intruder get in and out without waking/alerting. I've been observing my own family since then, and I've come to the conclusion that it really is possible. I'm an insomniac and I come to bed long after my husband most nights. I walk around, I get my things, I play on my phone, and he never wakes. I do dishes, I cook, I shower, I leave to the store. Probably in part BECAUSE he's used to me doing this, it doesn't reach his awareness.

If, one night, someone else was tip toeing around our home, I seriously doubt he'd alert to it. And he's not a heavy sleeper, if I say his name or talk to him he's immediately responsive. He's just learned to sleep through awake people in the house.

Likewise, he gets up and showers and gets ready for work without waking me about 50% of the time. When I wake, it's usually because my alarm is going off as well. Which I tune in to because something in my subconscious knows I need to.

If DesaRae and Brandon were used to varying shifts, it wouldn't surprise me at all if noises in the house did not reach her consciousness. Just based on my own experience, anyway.

Yeah, as soon as I saw that he liked ICP, I figured he was possibly interested in that lifestyle. That little subculture IS quite frightening. There are a lot of "wannabes" out there too, but I have to wonder if he was a Juggalo, if that along with his obvious pedophilia pushed him over the edge.

I should be happy they caught him, and I really am, but I am just so so sad tonight. It's all cementing that Jersey really did face what is my worst nightmare for my child, or any child. It's real, and it's HERE. My heart aches for what Jersey had to experience in her final moments. I am so disgusted with the scum layer of the human race right now. I ache for her. I ache for her family. I ache for our community.
