Probably.. She can't disobey her husband or his authority. Who would she tell? That would be distrusting her husband.. And as we've seen with the Duggar's.. Husband over children.

I mean, does he think people will be jumping to believe him? I would not be at all surprised to find that's actually what happened. BUT, neither of them are beaming lights of morality. Plus, he STILL didn't report what he did know, which he was legally mandated to do. So, I don't know. I have a feeling the Duggars minimized the crimes from the very instant they happened and thereafter. I just wish we had a more believable or trustworthy witness to it....than this dude.
I have lost a lot of sleep over it. I am a Christian myself and I worry that something else may have happened. I would be responsible for it, in my opinion, by not reporting it. The young girl should have been my first priority.
The girls write about a "chain of command" in the family that follows birth order (with Josh being the eldest):What do you think?
"The system is for when an older child encourages a younger child to do what is right or not do what is wrong, and the younger child is expected to listen their older siblings are their elders and they should treat them as such Josiah can ask James to stop whistling in the car, and he needs to stop."

It makes me sad that the younger kids are assigned to an older child. The younger ones need love and attention from their parents.. Not their sibling buddy. The Duggars have robbed their children of their childhoods.

Their parents were too busy making the next baby to give much attention to the most recent one. IMO of course.
Oh.. I didn't say he was raised to be compliant, he was just usually somewhat behaved in public (lol). I'm just now hearing about blanket training and thought the extent was just putting them back on the blanket when they got off, more or less redirecting their behavior. My kid is still strong willed and we clash constantly, I was thinking maybe I should have tried blanket training because imho teenagers suck.
Ha ha!! A teenager's goal is to drive us crazy!!!

"The choice to forgive doesn't always free the other person from the consequences of his or her wrong actions, but it frees the forgiver of negative feelings towards the offender. And if we still have feelings of bitterness, the Bible says it's not only to forgive the other person, but also to go a step further and look for ways to bless him or her.

Ikr. And he's excelling at it ! He's 15, do you think it's too late to try blanket training ?
Interesting that the trooper is still interested in his public image. One would think that his reputation is pretty much shot after the child porn conviction.
I keep forgetting. I found something from a fundamentalist Christian teaching or program about sex abuse in the home and a story about a son who molestednhis sisters and lessons the mother learned from that (which were appalling).
I think it was a Gothard linked thing. I wonder if it could've been the Duggars. I need to find it and post.
But while MSNBC and CNN have reported heavily on the Duggar scandal, Fox News has largely ignored the story. According to a Media Matters analysis, Fox News spent less than two minutes covering the story between May 21 and May 25, compared to almost an hour of coverage from the other cable news networks.
Former Fox News employee Mike Huckabee, who is running for president in 2016, has come under fire for defending the Duggar family in the wake of the controversy.
Oh you'd think so but then again this is Arkansas. When is his next parole hearing? How many of the parole board members have links to Huckabee? Or Gothard? After all, Gothard's treatment plan has been used in Arkansas prisons, if my memory serves me correctly from a link I posted earlier.
Or ties to the Duggars one way or another? Perhaps they were appointed by Stacey Zimmerman?
I mean after all if the trooper were a close enough friend that Jim Bob went to him for advice...and of all the state troopers in all the doughnut shops in Arkansas Jim Bob went to the one convicted for child porn...
Color me cynical.
Josh and Anna apparently have a covenant marriage; anyone offhand know the terms of that?
katerz, thanks for clarifying. Yes, Anna is a victim because she is stuck...
