Probably.. She can't disobey her husband or his authority. Who would she tell? That would be distrusting her husband.. And as we've seen with the Duggar's.. Husband over children.

I mean, does he think people will be jumping to believe him? I would not be at all surprised to find that's actually what happened. BUT, neither of them are beaming lights of morality. Plus, he STILL didn't report what he did know, which he was legally mandated to do. So, I don't know. I have a feeling the Duggars minimized the crimes from the very instant they happened and thereafter. I just wish we had a more believable or trustworthy witness to it....than this dude.

BBM

But, but, but, why wouldn't they? After all, the esteemed trooper proclaims....

“I have lost a lot of sleep over it. I am a Christian myself and I worry that something else may have happened. I would be responsible for it, in my opinion, by not reporting it. The young girl should have been my first priority.”

From the Duggar sisters' book:

The girls write about a "chain of command" in the family that follows birth order (with Josh being the eldest):What do you think?

"The system is for when an older child encourages a younger child to do what is right or not do what is wrong, and the younger child is expected to listen … their older siblings are their elders and they should treat them as such … Josiah can ask James to stop whistling in the car, and he needs to stop."

It makes me sad that the younger kids are assigned to an older child. The younger ones need love and attention from their parents.. Not their sibling buddy. The Duggars have robbed their children of their childhoods.

Their parents were too busy making the next baby to give much attention to the most recent one. IMO of course.

Oh.. I didn't say he was raised to be compliant, he was just usually somewhat behaved in public (lol). I'm just now hearing about blanket training and thought the extent was just putting them back on the blanket when they got off, more or less redirecting their behavior. My kid is still strong willed and we clash constantly, I was thinking maybe I should have tried blanket training because imho teenagers suck.

Ha ha!! A teenager's goal is to drive us crazy!!!

Interesting that the trooper is still interested in his public image. One would think that his reputation is pretty much shot after the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 conviction.

JMO I'd have no trouble believing that the Duggars might have told the trooper about only the girl who wasn't family and that only because the girl's parents threatened to make a fuss.

But the trooper's concern apparently isn't worth a whole lot. Did he report any of the kids that got abused in the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 photos he watched?

From the Perez link:

"The choice to forgive doesn't always free the other person from the consequences of his or her wrong actions, but it frees the forgiver of negative feelings towards the offender. And if we still have feelings of bitterness, the Bible says it's not only to forgive the other person, but also to go a step further and look for ways to bless him or her.

How nice. The more you abuse the nicer your victims need to act toward you, so it's actually a doubly rewarding experience for the abuser. The candy man gets his candy back and some extra chocolate.

Regarding my post #1002 above:

Just to be clear, I did not intend this as an insult to Christians generally.

I grew up in the Bible Belt, and this guy's words just reminded me of a bumper sticker I used to see: "Christians Aren't Perfect, Just Forgiven" which I observed many people interpret to mean they could commit any mayhem they chose because hey, they were saved and forgiven so they'd be going to heaven no matter what they did.

He's eligible for parole in 2020. I guess failing to report a child molestor isn't helpful to his quest to be paroled. So he does have incentive to lie.

Oh you'd think so but then again this is Arkansas. When is his next parole hearing? How many of the parole board members have links to Huckabee? Or Gothard? After all, Gothard's treatment plan has been used in Arkansas prisons, if my memory serves me correctly from a link I posted earlier.

Or ties to the Duggars one way or another? Perhaps they were appointed by Stacey Zimmerman?

I mean after all if the trooper were a close enough friend that Jim Bob went to him for advice...and of all the state troopers in all the doughnut shops in Arkansas Jim Bob went to the one convicted for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬...

Color me cynical.

I keep forgetting. I found something from a fundamentalist Christian teaching or program about sex abuse in the home and a story about a son who molestednhis sisters and lessons the mother learned from that (which were appalling).

I think it was a Gothard linked thing. I wonder if it could've been the Duggars. I need to find it and post.

Was this it? Where the boy thought he was tempted later by having to change his baby sisters' diapers?

Of course there is a lot of poop going around here.

If you're a Fox News fan: Blink and you missed it.

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/05/27/fox-news-devoted-less-than-two-minutes-to-the-d/203778

But while MSNBC and CNN have reported heavily on the Duggar scandal, Fox News has largely ignored the story. According to a Media Matters analysis, Fox News spent less than two minutes covering the story between May 21 and May 25, compared to almost an hour of coverage from the other cable news networks.

Former Fox News employee Mike Huckabee, who is running for president in 2016, has come under fire for defending the Duggar family in the wake of the controversy.

A cartoon by Mike Luckovich:

Mike Luckovich, the Atlanta Journal Constitution cartoonist, had a similar idea in a political cartoon published Tuesday that depicted Josh Duggar wearing a phony halo.

“I got a word named after me,” Duggar says, holding up a page that defines his last name as a verb that means “to sexually abuse innocent victims while trumpeting your moral superiority.”

“Hold my Bible while I DUGGAR you,” suggest Luckovich as an example.

Did the Duggars become friends with the trooper at their congregation or some other church/ religious activism related activity...? (Do they have any other kinds of friends?) Seeing as how Mr Hutchens is such a Christian pedophile his temptations and mistakes in the sexual arena might have come up in discussions (and been properly regretted, apologized for, prayed for, and forgiven, until the next time...).

So I think it's quite possible that he was chosen, not coincidentally, but because everybody else would be appalled but they knew that Hutchens would understand Josh perfectly and never judge. :jail:

Says he liked 2-13 year olds engaging in vaginal or oral sex and roleplayed with someone who pretended to be a little girl doing it with daddy.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/27/joe-hutchens-child-🤬🤬🤬🤬-josh-duggar_n_7454428.html

The document states that Hutchens’ Yahoo profile username was “dadsluv2002” and that his profile listed such interests as “Kinki Kids,” “Child Play series,” “Strangers with Candy,” “Puberty” and “Preschools.” The report also states that between 2004 and 2005, Hutchens “spent considerable time on his computer viewing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Josh and Anna apparently have a covenant marriage; anyone offhand know the terms of that?

katerz, thanks for clarifying. Yes, Anna is a victim because she is stuck...

From what I understand, a covenant marriage is one where the parties make a conscious decision that divorce will never be an option.
