Area Body Found in "Too Strange" Was it Searched?

Maybe this has already been thrown out there, maybe not.

What if she backed her car into the garage, put Caylee in a bag, brought her to the back yard, set her down a few times while she pondered what exactly to do, threw her over the fence using the ladder, buried her, came back over the fence (put the ladder on the pool), drove down the road and decided she better look from that end, left her car running, got a little turned around while in the woods and came out farther from her car than expected so she jogged towards the car (Chris sees her), gets back to the car and realizes that she will need a reason for the car being there so she calls Tony.

O/T I keep wondering WHY would she back her car in? They have a garage... she could have pulled her car in, shut the garage door and no one would have known what she was doing.

I saw a shop vac, 2 uprights and a carpet cleaning machine being taken out of the Anthony house. They have 2 small dogs and I believe there may be a cat as well.

Okay, I have a vacuum upstairs, another one downstairs, a Roomba, a carpet cleaning machine and a wet/dry vac. So I guess four vacuums isn't that strange.

Is there a back door to the garage? If so, she wouldn't have to carry the body around the car if she came in the back. If no back door, I guess she had to carry it through the house. Maybe that's why all the vacuums - to get any dirt or sand that may have spilled in the house or garage.

Last night on NG, the reporter from WKMG said the area where the remains were found was NOT underwater at first and the area could have been searched, and she was empahtic about that.

We've already been through this.

Could it possibly be the duct tape did not match the age of the rest of the remains ? Just a thought.

Just did a cursory check of average rainfall for Orlando...over 7 inches for each month- June and July. I don't believe sending out search dogs July 16th would have done any good. Sending out cadaver dogs after they got the hits may have been wise...just don't know if they can without an indictment...which came much later.

This may have been already asked (sorry!) but who has 4 vacuum cleaners??

I have a shop vac, an Oreck in the garage for the cars, two uprights (one for each floor) and a canister with every attachment known to man. Five vacuums total. The kicker? I have a house cleaner who brings his own vacuum. Now I'm feeling like a real idiot.:crazy:

Hear me out before moving this post or commenting. This has been driving me nutz since she was found. IT IS TOO STRANGE that her body was found less than 1/3 mile away from their house.

Cadaver dogs can hit and actually follow a trail once they do. RE: Scott Peterson for example. They actually followed from the Petersons' driveway, all the way to the Interstate.

Ok now there were two sets of dogs that hit. Also there were more dogs that were brought in to search, many searches done by very qualified people.
Little bones are hard to find in deeply wooded areas. A BLACK GARBAGE BAG ISN'T that hard to see.

She actually was preserved and not discarded as many of us thought, thus the protection of the plastic bag. The alligators didn't get her etc etc.
The A's were conveniently out of town when she was found, Lee hasn't shown his face.

Chickasaw Trail is a trail kids and others travel !! SHE WASN'T BURIED, SHE WAS IN PLAIN SIGHT WHERE A FENCE HAD BEEN ERECTED EVEN !!

GA said this needs to STOP !! He's been trying to tell LE in his own way, without CA interferring.

Obstruction charges being bantered about, directly from the Sheriff. What does this leave to the imagination?? Not too much when you put it all together.

Not sure this has been brought up; cadaver dogs are different from tracking dogs. In most cases the animals are not trained for both functions. If the cadaver dog was also trained for tracking the fact that the body was probably transported there by car and then thrown or placed underwater would prevent the remains from being tracked, especially weeks after the initial dump.

I personally don't think any of the other Anthony's had anything to do with the body disposal, GA would never want the remains found if he was involved. Being ex LE he would have thought of a much better way and place to dispose of Caylee. No, I think this was purely KC's idiocy.

Except that from what I read yesterday, EVERYONE knows they were staying at the RC!!
PS- and if the entire family is in danger, why would Casey want to be freed from jail.

I agree ABSOLUTELY lol, perhaps they should keep her in protective custody for 90 + yrs.

DOTEYES said it best - it was Casey - and only Casey. I believe this is not really that complicated because Casey only thinks moment to moment - never ahead. Her parents (mainly her mother) is the boss of the family and George asks how high to jump. Lee does not want to get the wrath of Cindy going because both George and Lee will catch it. When the doors close and the windows are shut I'll bet she is a force to be reckoned with.
LE and the prosecutors know she did it - they have dealt with murderers like her before. She is just not as smart as they are though she feels that being pretty, young, sexy acting will win LE over. Not this time. She has lied and connived all her life and worked over her parents as though they were putty in her hands. She did this evil act to her own daughter - just think Cindy and George have two little dogs to love and no granddaughter.

Women, maybe I should say Mothers, tend to be more nurturing in their killing of offspring - not that I'm saying this is nurturing - they tend to do this closer to home or at home in a non violent way

There are many holes to this story - I've been thinking about the duct tape - a lot - I don't know if it was wrapped around several times, a piece over the mouth, wrapped around once - we don't know if the arms or legs have any duct tape on them

It seems that Casey was in a hurry - she wasn't as methodical as we thought - the deed happened and then she thought, what now - so she comes up with the kidnapping theory - aka the duct tape - dumps Caylee close to home so it could look like she was being framed and it's done - nothing more to worry about - she can go on with her life the way she wanted to

I also think she put Caylee where she did cause frankly she wasn't that familier with anywhere else - she was familier with this spot

She was familiar with it, but may not have known whether the area stayed flooded all year round, like a retention pond of sorts. Our rainy season starts in late May, early June and goes all the way through November, so she would have thought that she would have her well hidden at least until November, long enough for her to steal enough money to get out of the country.

Additional food for thought - As the FBI combs the area for additional evidence, I HOPE THEY LOOK UP !! At least far enough up a tree to see if there is any tree trunk or thick branch/brush damage that could match the scratches/damage area on the back area of the Pontiac. And I hope they find something like that.

If she loaded Caylee into the trunk from the house in the Garage, then drove her around for a few days before bringing her back and dumping her at the disposal site, I'm not so sure the cadaver dogs would be able to track from point A to points B through F (wherever she traveled those 2.6 days), and then back to point G.

I believe it was mentioned that he was trying to get or has gotten a reality show a la Dog the Bounty Hunter? !

He had a show on cable late last year..I'm not sure how many episodes it was but I've seen clips from it.

I've been wondering for months now if that's all there was or will there be more shows..Does anyone know?

mm, i have three dogs and two cats.
2 oreck vac
1 sears vac
1 shop vac
1 hand held oreck vac
that is 5 vacs and my floors are still dirty (they don't run themselves)

Sorry if this is off-topic but I just watched a Fox News clip of an interview with Leonard Padilla from today. I never liked this guy from the start and always saw him as an opportunist from this horrible tragedy. Why would you bail KC out in the 1st place? I mean come on, everybody already knew she was guilty as hell.
LP just wanted to create controversy and drum up interest in him. I believe it was mentioned that he was trying to get or has gotten a reality show a la Dog the Bounty Hunter? He knew all along she was guilty and that the family was nuts but chose to stick his nose into this situation. What has LP done to help anything? Nothing!
It was funny on Greta's show the other night when LP was talking about how he was flying back to Orlando. Greta wanted to know why he was going back. LP couldn't really give a good answer except that he was going out to dinner with people he befriended while "working" on the case. What a joke!

Don't remember if it was here or Topix, but when Padilla made the announcement he was bailing her out, there was a heckuva outcry to email, call, or write the National Geographic Channel and complain.

They issued a statement within a day or so saying he was not in any way associated with Nat Geo and no plans for any show or special featuring him.

Realist,

I saw on another thread that you personally searched the area by the school. Did I understand this info correctly?? Any insight or thoughts?

TIA

I've always subscribed to the idea that dogs cannot smell underwater, that something would have had to have been protruding from the water to pick up the scent. Is this a myth or fact, anyone know?

Cadaver dogs can smell where a body is underwater. Sometimes it is a little angled when it rises, but YES they can smell a decomposing body underwater. The dogs used in the previous search were S&R dogs. They are not trained in cadaver scents.
