Thanks for the judge info. While I do wonder why ES didn't face some sort of at the very least neglect charges for her knowingly continuing to leave the children (for a period of years it appears) with an admitted alcoholic cocaine abuser she KNEW was neglecting their children, I suspect they knew early on they had their hands full even prosecuting CS given how immediately it appeared the bench was behind poor sad dad.
I am curious why the prosecution didn't request a change in judge as a matter of right early on when it became apparent the judge seemed to lean towards the defendant.
12-409. Change of judge as a matter of right; criminal proceedings; procedure
A. Each side in a criminal case is entitled to one change of judge as a matter of right. If two or more parties on a side have adverse or hostile interests, the presiding judge or the presiding judge's designee may allow additional changes of judge as a matter of right. a criminal case, including a consolidated case, is treated as only having two sides.
I'm late to this case and didn't want to ask about the judge and if she was on this case from the get-go.
