GUILTY Arizona girl, 2, left in car by father on 109-degree day and is found dead #2 (guilty plea, father found dead 5 November 2025 before sentencing)

While I do wonder why ES didn't face some sort of at the very least neglect charges for her knowingly continuing to leave the children (for a period of years it appears) with an admitted alcoholic cocaine abuser she KNEW was neglecting their children, I suspect they knew early on they had their hands full even prosecuting CS given how immediately it appeared the bench was behind poor sad dad.

I am curious why the prosecution didn't request a change in judge as a matter of right early on when it became apparent the judge seemed to lean towards the defendant.

12-409. Change of judge as a matter of right; criminal proceedings; procedure

A. Each side in a criminal case is entitled to one change of judge as a matter of right. If two or more parties on a side have adverse or hostile interests, the presiding judge or the presiding judge's designee may allow additional changes of judge as a matter of right. a criminal case, including a consolidated case, is treated as only having two sides.
Thanks for the judge info.
I'm late to this case and didn't want to ask about the judge and if she was on this case from the get-go.

I don't think it's been ferreted out yet. He did it the night before but was found at 5a.m. on the 5th. But I wonder how they know it was "last night", which is how they put it.

I wonder if the rest of the family had spent the night elsewhere. He could have taken drugs the night before, but others have pointed out that isn't always dependable. If he shot himself there must have been no one home. Imo

Others have mentioned possible car exhaust fumes. Also someone mentioned a detached but air conditioned small bldg on the property.

Again, how did they know it was "last night" ie the 4th nov, and not for example 12:30 am on the 5th.. If food was all digested, how would they know when it was ingested?
Seems too fishy to me that after Erika's woe is me/daughters that got CS released until sentencing that at least she wouldn't have been with him on his last night (no pun intended).
No matter what LE finds out about the events leading up to his suicide and the suicide itself I don't expect any prosecution of Erika.
Even if they planned it, she provided the drug or even if it wasn't drugs yet there's evidence she knew the plan and left the house,
Did CS have any guns?
imo

What is the point in having a stay-at-home parent if they cannot be trusted to adequately parent the kids?

Make them get a job and hire a babysitter.

MOO.

Shocked. Just shocked.
A) that it was a female paramour
B) that there are housewives who would find him remotely attractive I mean HONESTLY he is known to drink as a stay at home dad, dumps off his own kids to friends and plays video games all day? C'mon!

Knowing FULL well while Christopher NAPPED the Littles would go wandering outside!?!?! NAPPED!?!?

Tbh I was trying to get thru reading this before his sentencing.... and here we are.

sleeping or something else happens. She can name a specific time on Halloween
when one of his three daughters went missing, she was part of that search party
in the community. His ( Christopher) neighbor, who is a renter, Kate Schacht
Katelyn, 36yo), she is very close with him and has many detailed stories of
where he was taking a nap, not sure what he was doing, but he was at home, and
now Kate lives next door to him, before she lived directly behind him, and his
young daughters would leave their home and walk around the block, to her house
and he would have no clue they left. She ( Kate) would call him and say ' hey
your kids are here.' Again, Sarah said telling us ( police) this was hearsay,
but said we should talk to Kate. Sarah' s concern, she had to stop because she
began to cry, and apologized because she was " very angry and very sad by all of
this," is that Chris and Kate have a " special relationship" and she may not be
forthcoming with information. Sarah said Kate is in a difficult situation
herself with her husband. She is not sure if Kate would be willing to share her
specific stories. Sarah really wanted it to be understood that this was
negligent, and a pattern of negligence and it was 100% avoidable and it was not
a simple " oopsy this never happened" kind of thing.

This link doesn’t work for me unfortunately (says transfer expired). Is there any other source where the documents are available?
Oops, too late to edit and I screwed it up. This one works

The CPS report refers to Parker as a "male"
Who is "Lance Savard"?

OMG! So all of a sudden CPS determines the other 2 daughters are safe in Erika's care when it's her lack of care that resulted in Parker's death?
imo

Based on the p@rn videos he watched while Parker was left in the car, I'd guess "napping" was the word he used for "alone time" locked in his bedroom.... maybe then followed by a nap.

It appears that school (when in session),screen time, neighbors, and cars were the co-nannys in play here.

ES may have glimpsed him in his highest good and truly hoped he'd find that again or at least more consistently. Maybe he was a "rescue" case for her. No one is born into this world with the problems he accumulated over time. I truly do hope he is at peace and I do hope the entire set of family and friends recover from their horrible trauma and reach understandings that allow them to rise to their own highest and best selves for the remainder of their lives. In that way, Chris's life will have served a divine purpose in addition to having brought 4 wonderful beings into this world.

Make them get a job sounds easier than it is. Making them keep the job is even harder. You can find someone hiring and drop them off for an interview but you have no control over what they say in that interview. If by a long shot they get hired, you can’t make them perform the job up to minimum standards or even show up on time/work the full shift.

Erika saw what ends Christopher went to to get custody of his child. She also saw how he treated her after getting custody - apparently Erika was no better according to the now 17 yr old & her former guardian. When Juan (Erika’s brother) commented something about the custody battle Christopher’s response was; ‘Scholtes don’t lose.’

Lance Savard is the father of Mariah Savard another Pima Co 2 year old who died when her father wasn’t supervising her.

I knew it. Though I really expected it would be more of a Josh Powell exit. Thankfully not.

I have no idea what ES has been through to feel like she should put up with this awful behavior. And it gets more bizarre when she is an MD with looks to moonlight as a supermodel. I mean, honestly, I hope she can brush this final passive aggressive gesture off and move on. Obviously easier said than done.

He could have taken a large amount of sleeping pills and/or benzodiazepines and set himself in a tub full of water. He could have definitely drowned imo. Imo

The big question, why did it take so long to find him

The big question, why did it take so long to find him
If he told his wife he was going to take a bath and relax after taking a boat load of meds. She could have easily fallen asleep and not known until she woke up. Moo

yeah, I posted about this last week sometime. Whoever prepared that report needs fired. Lance is a defendant in a different Child Death that occurred in the same county around the same time as Parker's. Poor cut and paste job and the preparer probably used the report on the Savard case as their template for this report on Parker. And yes, repeatedly referred to the deceased girl as a he throughout.

It's shamefully sloppy

Did anyone find this comment from KS interesting?

“I just have no words, and I had to shift my energy to supporting Cindy’s cause,” Schacht said.

Shift her energy from what?
from being CS's "special" friend and neighbor? It has been stated in court docs that those around the neighborhood viewed CS and his next door neighbor, KS, as "close"

I took it to mean she stopped defending/supporting her dear "friend" CS and took her blinders off to eventually support Cindy in her pursuit of justice for Parker.
