The headless rat is going to be the Achilles’ heel in Ron's story IMO.

That little stunt is going to trip up any untrue story.

During the interview with Nancy Grace on September 7, 2009, Nancy asked Ron what time he had come home the night of February 10, 2009. Ron stated that he was at work and came home at approximately 3:25 to 3:27. He stated that when he pulled into the yard, he saw Misty Croslin open the front door. Immediately, Ron sensed something was wrong, as it was unusual for Misty to be awake at that time. He asked her why she was awake. Ronald Cummings stated that Misty told him that the back door was wide open and that Haleigh was gone.

And she told me that she just got up to use the bathroom, and that she saw that Haleigh was not in her bed. She went to find her, and the back door was wide open, and she was nowhere to be found. She was gone.

VAN SUSTEREN: Misty, had you been the one to block that back door?

CROSLIN: No, I did not lock the back door because the back door is always locked. We really do not use the back door.

No one states how the back door was bricked if it's ALWAYS locked...how/who opened it???

Haleigh: Babysitter Misty Croslin is still pointing fingers

The last person to see 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings alive is still pointing the finger from behind bars. In newly release jailhouse conversations with her family, Croslin says that she is “not the key” and that the cops need to “move on.”

And shockingly, she adds that the investigators need to take a closer look at Haleigh’s dad, Ronald Cummings.

Misty Croslin (speaking to her father): When I called him that night, how come he didn't answer the phone? I called and called and he didn't answer the phone. And then as soon as I open the door he's there. And he talks like, he says he was a drug dealer and all this stuff back in the day. He talks about all this sh*t. Then why did that black guy say that some people had her and he was going to go back and get her. But if he told, if Ronald told, then he would come to kill him. There's all this sh*t that they don't even look at. They just wanna look at me.

We continue to see inconsistencies in what Croslin has to say about that night. In recent weeks we learned that both Misty and her brother Tommy were implicating their cousin–Joe Overstreet –in Haleigh’s disappearance. But check out what she said to her dad:

Hank Croslin: I know you didn't do nothing. I just don't know if you know something.
Misty Croslin: I don't know. I'm telling you. If I knew I would. It's just I don't know. You wanna like in my mind it's just like, you know, people keep saying this person, this person, so you know in your mind you're like well hey that's that person so you actually start to believe it, like the Joe thing. You just, I want to believe that because that's what I keep hearing and it just like makes like sense this is what happened you know, but I don't know for 100 percent that that was him. I don't know.

Actually, the headless rat makes sense to me. It was a message - a threat to Tommy from Ron. Misty helped. Message: "Lay off, and shut up."

While it was Timmy trying to call to talk to his sister by phone, Tommy was physically fighting with Ron - so severely the police were called.

Tommy has Lisa, 3 little kids kids. IMO, Dead rat means don't be rat, or you'll be dead too. Perhaps (speculation) a previous verbal threat was made about Tommy's kids - you tell about my kid, something will happen to your kid.

More Speculation:
Whatever happened to Haleigh, Ron was at fault, or, Ron believed he would be considered at fault to the point that he could lose Jr. over it. Misty is likely also believes she herself would be found at fault for what happened to Haleigh. Whatever happened to Haleigh, Tommy had knowledge, and/or after-the-fact, became involved. Either through a distress call for help from his little sister, from Ronald, or perhaps because he was actually present at the MH when it was discovered that Haleigh was unconscious, or dead. In Ron's mind, there was nothing he could do about Haleigh now; silence was the way to protect Jr.. Headless Rat = reminder to Tommy about staying silent.

IMO, If Misty's Tommy story is closing in on the truth ...
There is no way this would have gone on this long - no way Ron would not have had some sort of revenge upon Tommy or Misty by now - if he was uninvolved in Haleigh's demise himself. FORTY phone calls. (cough, cough)

Another good point, why would she ask him that? I still can't get the words she spoke to her dad/mom "I've told LE everything, stuff about Ron and Family, but THEY REFUSED TO LISTEN TO ME"...not word for word, but close enough. I also have the images of her in a couple of interview/calls where she said, just wait...just wait...when they find who took Haleigh I will go on NG/everywhere and tell her/them to kiss my @zz....
I just have had a gut feeling all along that she is covering for Ron and fears him to no end..:twocents:

The phonecalls tell me that Ronald knew that something was up that night, already on that night. If it was just him being madly mad at Misty I think he'd have given up calling her after a few tries and ranted on her voicemail or sent her angry text messages, not have attempted to call her over and over again. The repeated calling sounds more like having something to discuss that needs to be taken care of very soon and it can't wait until the next day or whenever you both feel like it, like philosophical discussions about the state of your union. IMO. :cow:

Considering this new story, it begs many questions. One being:

If Joe was not there, but Haleigh was transported in Timmy's van, then how did Timmy's van get to Misty's? :waitasec:

(They worked pretty hard to put Haleigh into Timmy's van with all of their various stories...)

Yehp. I'm not ready to back off Timmy and Chelsea. Didn't I read where they helped "raise" Misty? If she is loyal to RC like she is, think of how much more loyal she is to Chelsea and Timmy.

The heat is on. The cops already suspect Tommy. She doesn't want to give anyone up, but Tommy is already in jail, so why not give the cops someone so she doesn't have to be under pressure anymore? :waitasec:

Yep, we get the old open ended statements again. Tommy did it. Of course the statement can be interpreted at least two ways: ie., Tommy killed Haleigh and took her or Tommy took an already dead Haleigh away. :banghead::banghead::banghead: She doesn't want to say the word, Killed so she doesn't say it. She wants Tommy to tell the tale. It looks like the only thing that was accomplished out of her ranting and raving is that Joe was totally taken out of the equation. Ron is the one who called and IMO summoned Tommy to helpout. Ron could have coerced Tommy to help out by letting him think that Misty had killed Haleigh by OD or whatever. I can see Tommy helping Misty/not Ron. Looks like the truth may be visible from here but now quite out yet.

The pressure she's feeling is a looooooooooooooooong prison sentence. Lies and more lies.....I'd tack on 10 years for every lie, but that's why I don't sit on a judicial bench.

Well,I don't think Tommy hurt Haleigh.But I do think he witnessed something.My thoughts on this are few ways.She got mad at ron and did not want to babysit and she went to the party anyway.Tommy said she was not there when he went over there later.Maybe he was there when she returned.He either witnessd something when she got back possibly with another person or persons or he witnessed MC herself hurt Haleigh.I believe JRs man in black story.Someone else was possibly there.I just don't think it was the cousin.Misty knows exactly what happened to little Haleigh and I feel Tommy is protecting Misty.Maybe he won't any more now.

It could be a combo of things, I suppose: Ron had his mom watch Haleigh, and (one of them) gave her some meds to make her sleep. Teresa called Misty to come over to babysit, but left, anticipating Misty would come by (Misty's a girl of her word, right? blech). Ron, thinking Misty should be at the house, keeps calling her to see how things are going and can't get her, so calls Tommy, who gets into the MH and discovers Haleigh, lifeless. He calls Ron back, who calls his mom and grandmom, who come over to get Jr and deal with Haleigh, and Tommy is sent to round up Misty so they can stage the crap we heard on the 911 tape.

And Ron's at work.

I did not like the way Tommy gave up on fighting the restraining order against him, by Misty. Something was fishy about that. Which tells me that Tommy had fear. Fear of what? Fear that Ron was holding something over his head. Tommy helped his sister or Ron. Intimidation to be sure that Tommy never said a word. When Tommy gave into it at that point his future was marked by Ron.

Ron then kept his wife away from her family. When LE told him that they felt his sheltering Misty was causing her to clam up, Ron saw the light. They are looking too closely at me. So he divorced her. Found himself a bikini dancer and thought his life was in the clear with LE. Unfortunately greedy for money he and his ex-wife got back together in business. And from the sounds of it after the Charles Jones road rage, into more than just business. Ronald could never trust Misty to be out of his life completely, and with another man. If she felt secure and safe, she might betray him. He had to keep her in his life in order to control her.

If Misty isn't going to talk she will pay a dear price. I think Tommy got yanked in somehow but I don't think he killed Haleigh. He needs to talk. If it was his sister he helped he needs to spill it.

I feel like we may be close but I'm afraid to hope.

I may be wrong, BUT, I do not think AH knows just what was said in a Misty interrogation. I believe there was an interrogation on Friday, but that is the extent of it.

The investigators were able to tell Misty that Ronald was indeed on his way to prison and that he could not hurt anyone who decided to talk. What is to keep the SA from offering Misty the same deal Ronald got? She would be out of her mind to refuse that.

I do really think something is up but cannot begin to guess what. One thing I really feel is that it probably isn't the AH scenario. I think Tommy helped dispose of Haleigh, but I do not think he killed her. I hope no one is framed, because I want real justice for Haleigh, not some framed up story.

Yes, LaLaw you are right we do not know what was said in the interrogation of Misty this past weekend. Nor, do I believe AH does either. From the very beginning I have doubted much AH has written about the behind-the-scenes activities in this case.

What is hard for me to believe is that Tommy would agree to help if it were Ron resquesting his help with disposing of a body. I do think Tommy would help his sister if she was doing the asking.

Or, it could be Tommy helped at Ron's request because Ron had something on Tommy or he threatened to turn in Misty if Tommy didn't help. I would never put anything past Ronald in the way of pushing to get what he wants.

Maybe I'm not as good a judge of people as I think I am. But when I see Ron or hear him speak, the word "cover-up" immediately comes to mind. To me, he is one creepy guy. jmo

Why?
An old theory raises it's head: They dosed Haleigh so Misty would not have a hard time babysitting.

Big Question:THEY being ... WHO?

Misty left to deal with it. Tommy helps Misty, and gets a Rat for a Thank you? Then Tommy slowly sedates himself into drug addiction ... and tries to be loyal to his family...???

Art Harris recanted the information he gave about the number of phone calls Ron made to Misty that night. Initially Art reported Ron made 90 phone calls and when he appeared as a guest on Levi Page’s Show September 8, 2010,
he made the following comment:

ART HARRIS: <snipped> Previously Levi I had reported on artharris.com that there were more than 90 phone calls made by Ronald, and I am now told that number by his lawyer is closer to 24 or 25. That does not count text messages. So my sources are still saying more than 90 calls and texts, but he did not reach her that night.

This was taped in March 2009 when he was in Satsuma. He has not released it until now.
Lisa speaks of Joe's alleged rape of Misty, her polygraph and more about Joe's criminal record. I don't think Joe is responsible, never have. I think Lisa is confused on the front door/back door scenario.

I really believe it is a tangled web bringing these 2 families together.
Ron has to be involved for GGS and TN to do the praises of Misty in the beginning.
So I believe one on Ron's side gives Haleigh the illegal dose of pills to be a good girl for hung over Misty.
IIRC GGS made the remark that Haleigh had a 'meltdown' and she told her to be a GOD GIRL..........so did GGS give her a pill????
Haleigh dies on Misty's watch and is petrified!
All the phone calls that evening is a frantic ron trying to get help to dispose of his own little daughter (how cold & sick!)
That is where Tim, Tom and maybe Joe come in to help Misty.
The wives find out later.
Tim and family skip town.........away from the mess.
Everyone wants to be on the good side of Ron.
They all go into the save our butts mode.
Misty does clean up.
The guys do the disposal.
Ron has an alibi.
TN and GGS stand by Misty.
Ron marries her.
then wild stories of rape etc come out.
IMO, I believe it will come out as an OD on pills that Ron had..........and GGS may of given Haleigh the fatal dose, accidently.
Ron loves GGS and everyone covered up for her!
