How about this thought? During the time she's with RF, her profile on the dating site is still up. RF and RG's relationship is rocky. She checks out the dating site. GG leaves a message for her, telling her she's very attractive, photogenic. She contacts him because she's flattered and begins a friendship.

If that was how GG met her, I have to wonder if it was by his personal interest, or someone else asked him to engage her in conversation/friendship.

I've been following this case but haven't posted...but, this discussion on "model" vs "dancer" vs "other" is driving me nuts !!
Looking at this womans pictures...they look like portfolio pics to me....she is absolutely gorgeous!! IMO...AND from looking at magazines/circulars/TV, there IS definitely a need for 30 something models....even 40, 50, 60, etc.
Who poses for clothing aimed at that age frame?? A teen or 20 year old with "old people" make up on? You can look at magazines for Eddie Bauer, L.L. Bean, even KMart and see WOMEN in an older age frame....I've YET to see someone who looks like a teen or 20 something in these magazines, except for where the clothes ARE for teens, etc. As people have mentioned...we're most likely not talking about runway models or Victoria Secret...but 30 something is FAR from out of the "modeling" phase. Check out the "help I've fallen and I can't get up" lady...LOL

That being said, just because she IS beautiful doesn't make her a dancer, escort, etc. IMO, what she IS just happened to be someone who was far too trusting of a potentially crazy man. We've ALL seen it before....women "trust" someone because they seem "nice" or "normal". They leave bars with them, they accept rides from them, and, unfortunately, meet them on a dating site, that "appears" reputable for all intents and purposes.
Again, IMO, in agreement with all the other posts saying this same thing...the "this sucks" post was an indication of how her trip was going. She DID perhaps think she was going on a trip with a purely platonic male friend. He, on the other hand, thought being on a romantic island on the beach, etc. would take the relationship to the next level.
I believe she went on this trip just to basically "see" if she even wanted to take THIS relationship with GG more serious, as opposed to platonic. She and her current BF had a fight/argument and even though it was "over", she might have thought this would be a nice getaway...thinking/contemplating the future. She realized she had made a BIG mistake, let GG know things weren't going in "that" direction, he gets enraged, perhaps feels emasculated, and goes off on her.

I do NOT believe he/they brought their own equipment...snorkling is, IMO, one of those things that you feel you're "supposed to do" while on an island...just like parasailing.
Seems like a good idea, but having "boat drinks" ends up seeming like a better idea.

Thank you for putting into words my thoughts exactly. She was a beautiful woman although I'm not a fan of tattoos on men or women. But the rush to paint her as a harlot, wannabe star, that kind of 'model', escort, dancer, is unnecessary at this stage. There hasn't been any evidence of any of it or that seh was out looking for Mr Goodbar.

She was single, she wasn't engaged, she was free to look elsewhere if she was having doubts about her relationship with her current boyfriend. Happens to millions of people all over. She had known this guy for a year, many friendships build sooner than that. Possibly, she went wanting to see if there was anything there to build a relationship with Giordano. Maybe she freaked when she was there and realized she made a big mistake, hence the messages, it doesn't mean she went there with the intent to lead Giordano on to get a freebie. Or maybe she just thought they were friends and she was safe with a friend. Men and women do become just friends, I've had many male friends that were just that and nothing more.

Or maybe Giordano did offer her modeling work, it's not a crime if she believed it to be true and it doesn't automatically point to , she had lost her job so maybe she saw this as a way to make some money.

As with many cases, the facts begin to get blurred with speculation. Instead of trying to paint her as the criminal, look at the facts so far. She may have very well believed in her mind that Giordano was just a friend. Her friend said that she was too trusting.

Whatever reason she went, she's the victim.

This profile was used to add attractive females he wanted to have access to, view their photos, trade photos, etc. with other lesbians/bi-sexual females. I guess now we understand why authorities feel there is "evidence" that Robyn is dead, beyond simple speculation/common sense. If she merely disappeared in the water, the result of a snorkeling accident, her personal belongings wouldn't have been dumped somewhere. Weren't these items found in a mine? Gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Her boyfriend said they have been "exclusive" for the past 8 months and that she has been practically living with him (staying over up to 6 nights/week) during that time. That's where the confusion is, I think.

It's interesting to look at it from her perspective. According to the boyfriend, she was at his house 6 nights a week, they were talking marriage, etc. According to the roommate girlfriend she had known GG for over a year, and seen him a couple times a month over that year. Maybe she just liked the free dinner and booze.

Whether or not they were having sex is in doubt. He may have just been spending money on dinners and gifts over that time, listening to her complain about her boyfriend and hoping for his chance. He thought the trip to Aruba was his moment of truth. On the island they start drinking, having a good time and then she starts flirting with some other guy. He feels like he is getting played, and he snaps.

Maybe I'm out of touch, but does $88,000 a year for himself and 2 employees seem like not a very impressive salary, given that long list of things that the company is supposed to be involved in?

I read earlier on that he had 3 houses (correct me if that is not right). How could he finance them on that salary, I wonder? AND take people on cruises, and to Aruba, etc......

Ok I find the boyfriend's (RF) statements to the media a little worrisome. The FBI has asked him to stop talking and he continues to do it anyway. Why does he feel the need to seek attention? Is he making money off of his interviews, pictures etc?

Twice today I have seen articles on RadarOnline where he gave them an exclusive and both times he says they have been together 2 1/2 years BUT in other articles he says they have been dating the last 8 months .... so which is it?!?!

So if it was 2 1/2 years ago that would be Feb 09, was she cheating on her husband with RF?

He did said on NG or DD that they just became "exclusive" in January of this year. Whatever these bizarre dating rituals are these days, I haven't a clue...LOL

I think it may have been mentioned but I think the g-mail activity after she was missing could be a big piece of circumstantial evidence to show consciousness of guilt. He may have gone into her email and deleted any incriminating things he has written to her or things she has written him. It certainly is worth checking into, and I'm sure google has that info.
