No she didn't know this was part of the trip, IMO. She had sent Gary a message "Get me out of here" not "Let's go shoot some 🤬🤬🤬🤬 in Aruba." MOO.

However, Gary felt entitled to having his way, and likely got angry when she refused. Robyn felt very unsafe and cornered. This is where I put her comment "This sucks". She was also under the influence of drugs and alcohol, deliberately an attempt to impair her judgment. MOO.
I was talking about the insurance policy did she agree to it, not the photos....where did people get the idea I was talking about the photos?

I think "nonconcentual" is not a term I would use. I think she resisted and was not into it, but gave in to his demands and went with it to try to keep him from getting more angry.

It's a different woman and a different event, but compare this woman's report on Gary in 2010 (posted earlier - transcribed from abc video):

It's a very disturbing and forced sexual assault, with fluctuating levels of protest during the incident, such as when he wanted anal sex.

I contrast it with that incident to convey that I think Robyn went with it to appease Gary's demands, but that she was not into it.

Ultimately, Gary may have been fearful she would be reporting him to the police, so killed her after raping her on that last day she was seen alive. MOO.

He got away with it once before, why would he be afraid that Robyn would report something that happened in Aruba and who would she report it to? She would have to report it in Aruba - wouldn't she, as that is where any assault would have occurred? I can't see him killing her to prevent her from reporting an assault in Aruba where she didn't know the language or how to ask for help.

How about the possibility that he drove her to the isolated area with the intention of having sex and she resisted, there was a struggle and he killed her there - at the very spot where he claimed that she disappeared while snorkeling. I'm not convinced that the currents at the tip of the Island would push someone back to the Island. The winds and currents, based on my vague understanding, are from east to west ... so on the southern tip of that Island ... east/west currents and winds could take a body away from the Island.

Is this insurance policy a life insurance policy or a travel insurance policy? It's a little bit vague at this time. If it was travel insurance, she was probably happy to know that he purchased it.

That was my mistake - I didn't read the question carefully enough. I modified my post above to reflect this. Sorry for the confusion. :seeya:

BBM. Yes I do agree that is a stronger possibility than the fear of telling the police. I was just giving a possibility there, but I actually think the scenario of going to that spot on the beach to have sex, then raping her when she resisted, etc. is what happened. I think the surveillance footage is additionally what makes authorities believe he put the body somewhere else, besides the fact the body has not turned up there.

I nominate "HatesSociopaths" to be today's Sleuth of the Day. This is an excellent find.

I know, collectively, our minds can crack this case. Let's put GG in the Iron Maiden.

Enjoy,

The Gajonka

Thanks. Here are some photos from that link:

I get the feeling this was a straight up murder imo, the taking sleeping pills in the middle of the day with vodka comment, when people tell a story, they included truthful things in case the body turns up there has to be a reasonable explanation. I hope he did put her body somewhere else, then it will show up that she had been in the car.

Do any of you think that Robyn was testing the possibility that GG might be the wealthy man who would marry her?

Just watched a documentary style report where Wal Mart insured their older employees. Totally legal and most employees and their next of kin were unaware.

The 'storyline' behind this info was a lady whose husband died at work, Wal Mart gave her a 'payment', she later learned that he was insured by them for 10 times the amount she got. She was angry, hence the program.

That is different though, that is a company. Companies do sometimes insure their employees as a hedge against potential losses if they die.

I feel sorry for his kids. Such a shame to put them through all of this.
And for what?
Because their dad thinks he's "god's gift to women?"

Why would he marry her? Perhaps she thought he would, but why would he ... given that she was constantly back and forth with another guy.

I'm asking if that was in her mind?

Why would he need to rape her if they were getting along and having sex anyway?

Wonder why she and the former husband divorced? It seems that he supplied her with some of the finer things in life.

Dailymotion - New Developments in Robyn Gardner Case - a News & Politics video

This video says there was a witness who only saw Gary heading to the beach, without Robyn. No times given unfortunately.

When he got back to the shore and she wasn't there, he would probably have been wandering around looking for her. Of course he would have been alone. Go to the car, see if she was there, then turn back and go to the beach, see if she was down there. Alternatively, when he got to the shore he may have headed to their transportation, then returned back to the shore when she failed to show up. Who knows.

He wouldn't have hopped out the water and said "Ah!" I need to call the police now, there would have been a fair amount of back and forth trying to figure out where she was first.

At that moment, with the upset between her and RF, with the lack of a job, with the alimony payments being contested from her last marriage, with all that stress, YES, I think she wanted to believe Gary could be the man to take care of her and have the lifestyle she wanted. She was willing to ignore the red flags and explore the possibility again.

MOO.

They were not getting along on Aruba all that well. There is a report they were sitting apart from each other, there is that comment about "This sucks", etc.

Gary has a much larger appetite than just sex. He has larger demands than that. These demands were met with resistance, and he overpowered her to achieve them. MOO.

How do you explain this:

At approximately 6:02 p.m., after Gardner went missing, the police source said that Giordano is also seen in surveillance video, tapping on closed shutters of the bar -- seemingly making his presence known. At approximately 6:20 p.m. he headed to the back kitchen of the bar and told someone to call police.

Suspicious behaviour considering his cell phone was probably in his car. I hope they've checked all the dumpsters and trash cans n his area. Speaking of, where was his/her cell phone and purse found. <speculating>
