I think this statement makes it pretty clear that they searched. We do see him on the rocks with his suit on pointing to the area where she disappeared and I don't see them not trying to search with whatever daylight was left for them to do so.

He was reported to be drunk but he was helping with the search?

Yes, that was mentioned in the other article. But we do see GG standing with LE point out to the location where they were suppose to be snorkeling and there was still enough light so I don't see them not doing some searching that evening. The picture of him sitting on the rock was later after the sun went down so what was he doing while they were searching that he suddenly became too drunk to talk. I don't think he was drunk I think he knew his answers were being questioned and were suspicious and he started mumbling to lead them to believe he was drunk. Unless he was permitted to "visit" his car I don't see how you can get drunk 1 1/2 to 2 hours after the fact.

But I will put helicopter searches on my list. I would be interested in what type of equipment they have to search. lol jmo

As far as the "drunk" comment goes

Richard said she hated Pink..But the first reports in the Aruban papers said she had on a pink bathing suit..I would imagine thats one of the reasons why they searched that underground mine that had the pink material in it in that first land search. I don't recall ever seeing a source as to who saw her in a bathing suit (Probably GG)

As I said, unless we find out sooner, I will check it out once I get down there. Not an unreasonable question to ask the authorities since we do go to the eastern coast every visit. What if someone were to fall into the water, what should we do and what type of equipment is available to help rescue someone in that water? Then I have to hope my friend never falls in, lol. You know I've always worried about that happening but never thought about what steps I would take if it did happen. Me, I don't get that close to the edge. My friend is more adventurous but she does get some great pictures. lol

If your friend falls in the water I expect they would use a boat or the above helicopter
As you mentioned, probably wise to wear a life jacket

I think the above information tells us that most S and R equipment is available should it be needed

But then she is also the one who chose to prematurely, imo, donate Robyn's clothes to charity right after she returned home from her trip to Aruba, so I don't necessarily believe everything she has to say. Women change clothes, hairstyles, etc., like the wind. Why would a woman of that age, after all Robyn's not a young impulsive 16 or 18 year old, get a large, permanent tattoo that they are going to have to live with the rest of their lives. I just find that hard to believe. :twocents:
