I wonder if the dress went home with her belongings when her Mom flew back home. I would think they'd have turned her personal items over to her mother. Her shoes, jewelry, etc. have not been mentioned. Only the pills, her phone and iPad. jmo

They would be more incompetent than I had first thought if they sent a missing woman's dress home when it was the last thing she was seen in. If it was found on the beach they would have taken pictures of it for evidence and then they would have bagged it and taken it into evidence.

No doubt the items that belonged to her in the hotel room would have been turned over, but I highly doubt her dress would have been. Her dress and the jewelry/sunglasses/purse, were not in the hotel room - unless they went back to the room that evening....which wouldn't seem possible.

I believe they can't find the rental car in the video because you can't see the marker number and there is no identification visible to tell what rental agency it belonged to. I'm sure they hoped someone would come forward but not everyone is following this case and a tourist may not have any idea the police are interested in speaking with them.

I'm wondering why the ALE haven't gone to all the rental agencies there and checked out WHO rented that particular kind of car - how many car rental agencies ARE there in Aruba??!! They do have the date and time... :seeya:

I realize this is from 9/11, but it was new to me and might be new to someone else....

Baez states in this video that RG had life travel insurance on GG as well. News to me - news to Gutman - probably news to Giordano. Their mutual insurance works a bit differently - if something happened to Robyn, GG would benefit - if something had happened to Giordano, RG would not have benefited, GG's mother would.

Jose explains it all to Matt Gutman (Arubian?)....

Robyn Gardner Also Bought Insurance Policy, Suspect's Lawyer Claims (scroll down to video by Matt Gutman on left of article)
""Yes, the two of them had policies on each other," Jose Baez, the newly hired defense attorney for Giordano said today on "Good Morning America." "Now, of course, since Gary was paying for the trip, Gary was the beneficiary of Robyn's policy."

*just a note, see the text under the first video on this link "Jose Baez, Attorney Extraordinaire" Please... tell me that Baez doesn't have a "special" relationship with ABC.

It was mentioned earlier in the threads that RG paid for her own ticket, but she could have paid GG and he ordered the tickets. I don't think that was ever established. I can't believe that ABC let JB slide on the RG had taken out a policy on GG. We have never seen it and a copy of it would have been presented to ABC (for a hefty price) as soon as JB came on board which was around the time that the copies of the insurance policies were released to the public. Getting that information out there was what was important, not whether there was any proof. Most people will only remember that he said it and repeat what he said and not know that it is not the truth. He depends on that and does not care if it's not the truth.

JB is not a defense attorney, he's a defensive attorney and that is why real defense attorneys do not like him. jmo

They could have and we just don't know what they found. My guess is they found nothing of importance. Someone just happen to drive by around the same time and may not have noticed anything or anyone in particular. Why mention them when they are innocent bystanders. jmo

Woah! We just got moved again. I'm getting dizzy! No more "sticky status."

As far as that white Hyundai Getz that was seen in the surveillance camera, the rental car companies should have records including contact information of all renters. I would hope that ALE would have obtained all of this information pretty quickly and would have already contacted everyone who had rented a white Hyundai Getz during this time frame to found out if they had witnessed anything, etc. That just doesn't sound like it would be hard to accomplish, but then I am often wrong about many things.

I guess I should have read a little further - good idea neesaki!! :seeya:

Why would they have taken pictures if their initial report was an accidential drowning? LE would have had to have suspected something the moment they arrived. GG could have collected her dress and put it in the car, we just don't know what happened to all of her belonging, we only can assume her mother took her suitcase home with her. The dress could have been collect by the FBI and returned once he was charged.

The first night LE said they could not interview him because he kept mumbling and appeared to be drunk. So apparently they must have allowed him to get juice from his car. Because you don't suddenly become drunk after not drinking for a couple of hours. I think closer to the truth is that GG did not like the way the questioning was going and wanted them to think he was drunk.

Also, when I had my condo break in I had to show them physically what I meant about certain statements I made to them because I don't think they understood what I was trying to say. They speak perfect English, better than some Americans, lol, but when not addressing an American they speak their own language (Papiamento, which is a combination of Spanish, Dutch, English, Portuguese, French and native Aruban) so I can see if GG was not speaking clearly LE might have had problems understanding him.

But I believe if they thought in any way that first night that this was a crime they would have taken photos. I think the fact that there was a statement given by a witness who saw the dress on the rocks tells us it was there because the witness would not have known that night what RG was wearing. jmo

A little information on some of her belongings...

"They said they have her computer, her iPad and I asked them a couple of hours ago when I was talking to them, have you gotten into it yet and they told me they're working on it," explained Forester.

Forester, who had fought with Gardner about her trip with Giordano before she departed, says the last words they exchanged were "I love you." Now they're words he hopes to hear once again.

Dushi,

Didn't RF state he thought she was in Florida with family? He did not know she was with Giordano "before" she left, right? How could he have fought with her before the trip about GG, thought the fight was about something else. .......or do I have that wrong

No, you are right, she lied to him about where she was going. They may have fought about a previous trip she was supposed to take with him.

Funny thing is, why would she say, "we'll sort this out when I get home", if he didn't know where she was? Sort what out? They must have texted, emailed, facebooked, or carrier pigeoned it at some point while she was in Aruba.

Was he angry and just hasn't shown ALE HIS text messages to Robyn?

Yes

RF was told she was going to Orlando with her family
He says that he believed that until they spoke on the phone and it sounded international

he asked Rg about that and she then told RF she was in Aruba with GG

Their relationship was not great before this trip (obviously) based on information from her friends

They fought before her departure
I simply do not have time to go back and find all of the links, but they are there and I won't argue about reports anymore
I would suggest if anyone has questions, they should do the search

happy to answer what I remember but if anyone has questions, , they will have to do the research as I have done it already. because from here on this is all JMO

But , no, I don't think you have it wrong
According to RF, he did not know where she was so how could their agrument be about GG

His words are all on record

I am not going to repeat my searches, but its all there, back in the threads

I know that I'm somewhat reluctant to ask others to provide information - it is a lot of work. But I thought I'd share a method I use to save some time. I use the ":site" search parameter that's available through Google. While there are 385 "hits" for the search argument "rf rg florida site:websleuths.com", you could probably narrow that down with some additional search words (or exclude words by using a minus sign ("-") in front of them). Opening up various URLs in other tabs is a LOT quicker than paging through each page of each thread and trying to search via Control-F. You can read more about search parameters in Google by referencing this URL:

Hope this helps.
