In the video when they are shown walking towards the beach, it's a little unclear but it doesn't look to me that they are carrying any gear, does anyone see gear?

He went on a different trip with a different woman, and took out the same amount of insurance. I don't think that the other woman would be on tv telling about it if she had been involved in a scam with him. It leads me to believe that perhaps he somehow manipulated these women, including RG, into signing a policy. Women, no matter how old can still be gullible. Was his intention the same with the previous women but he didn't get the opportunity?

But still, there has to be a reason that the two signatures in RG's case are so different. :waitasec:

....or perhaps this was a standard "Travel Insurance" policy that only pays out when the carrier is responsible for loss or death in the event of an accident, like a plane crash. For Robyn to have made GG beneficiary in May and April, and his Ex prior to that---Doesn't that seem strange they both would be signing away "their lives" if something happened to them once they landed.I seriously doubt GG could just be running around forging signatures :waitasec:
Furthermore how irresponsible would that be for an Insurance company to even offer that kind of insurance. even for spouses? Think how many husbands could "lose" a wife , and instead of paying alimony could actually make a profit....like 1.5 million. That whole Insurance thing sounds BAZAAR.

That could be but I could also lean towards a plant the way this
case is going.
Whatever the answer is, GG needed to place that dress somewhere
close to the time she disappeared in my opinion.

If the dress was on the beach, no traces of violence on it (I assume), then Robyn must have left Roger's beach without her dress (to go swimming for example).

If GG took her to another spot she must have taken it of voluntarily, which makes the time frame even narrower (driving to yet another spot, propose to suntan or swim there etc).

That is the reason why I said allegedly.

and I would really like to know if there was any confirmation on the "alleged " dress being found--since we seem to be getting misinformation. Just trying to catch up on "confirmed" information---so far I think we are 0 for 0.

I assume any payments only will take place after it has been proven the death was accidental, that would barely leave any option for travels partners or spouses to orchestrate some sort of scam.

No, that's not true - NE mentioning lip reading - I have the NE and they say -

After reviewing the video multiple times, experts believe Robyn shouted....

NOTHING about lip readers...

You're probably right. It was reported in the Daily Mail.

They claim to quote from the NE here

A source close to the investigation told the National Enquirer: 'They were having a major fight. Robyn was waving her arms and shouting at Giordano. He was grabbing her arms and jerking her around and shouting back at her.

But then add in the lip reader further down the article

The source said lip-readers believe Robyn was shouting at Mr Giordano: 'I'm out of here. I'm leaving. I'm not spending another minute with you,' while he yelled back: 'Get back here! I'll kill you!'

I really do not know.
Today the surveillance footage of GG was released, it was claimed to take place at 6:02 (slamming on shutters) and him then leaving for 30 minutes.

The video clearly shows it was 6:15, so the whole 30 minutes discussion was based upon nothing but the media giving false information.

Let me know if you need the link (it is on GMA).

The new video of them leaving is not them. GG had on a dark shirt and the time they left was after 4 pm. The time on that video is 2:44.

GG is walking in a drunk fashion at 6:15.

Just looked again at the video of them going to the beach. Not only is the time off but the date on the time stamp is August 13th. That is very odd

Is the time stamp the date and time that the surveillance video recorded them or it is the date of when investigators entered it into evidence?

Or did they have the wrong people? :waitasec:

Or is the date/timestamp off on that one camera. I'm not sure it's them either.

At 1:16 in the tape you will see in the background the "couple" walking on the beach as gary knocks on "windows" shutters. So how can that be RG & GG if he is knocking? maybe he's a magician. :D j/k

It's a split screen, showing two videos. Left side shows the knocking, right side the gated video. Two different camera angles side by side. The magic of editing... :)

ABC would not have gotten this footage from ALE. They paid for it I bet from the owner. He may have tried to sweeten the deal with bogus footage.

The footage of GG is helpful though. It shows the earlier report by ABC of GG knocking on shutters st 6:02 was B.S. and that he does appear drunk. His hair looks perfect also.

Above is your original post about Ann Angela's article. I agree, this is confusing. The article talks about the days leading up to RG disappearance, and they found nothing unusual. The Enquirer was the one who stated their was footage of the argument at 6:51 am , the day she disappeared. Interesting they included photo of surveillance--but it was a reenactment.
Bet there is No tape.:banghead:

I think there may be a tape, but nothing on it that will help them.
If they viewed tapes from the days prior to her disappearance, it makes sense to me that they viewed them of the day she disappeared also

You don't believe that the security videos were turned over?

The earlier report by ABC

A law enforcement source said that Giordano, 50, is seen in surveillance video at 6:02 p.m. tapping on closed shutters of the bar seemingly making his presence known. At approximately 6:20 p.m. he went to the back kitchen of the bar and told someone to call police.

Sergio Silva states that GG seemed extremely drunk.

He submitted two different signatures of the same person in 3 months to a major company that has high fraud controls in place, concerning 1.5 million dollars. Calculating is not a good word to describe him. Stupid works better.

If he forged those he could have submitted two more alike signatures.

Sometimes people just do a hasty job with heir own signature, especially those who at times use their initials to OK a paper.

If Gary could make a false signature of the whole name he could do it twice IMO.

I have a business associate whose signature looks different all of the time. Quite different! We had to turn some information in to the bank, and it was rejected because it did not come even close to matching her signature card. I watched her sign the document, I know that she signed it, but it is COMPLETELY different.

This is the reason that I have been asking why the news has yet to produce something that is verifiably signed by RG. Does anyone that knew her know if her signature was consistent? That is the only way for someone outside of the investigation to truly check out the differences in these two signatures and determine which one may or may not be a forgery. IMHO

I do realize and understand the science behind forgery. I do like the "dot" theories; however, without an orginal signature, it is hard to compare the two and know which one is or could be real. KWIM

My own signature can look wildly different from one minute to the next. This is an area where experts can give opinions, but the opinions of a bunch of us amateur "websleuths" are pretty meaningless. At best.

Sorry, but that is the reality.

I'm going to change the Timeline to 6:15pm and will put the 6:02 in parathesis until we "know for sure"!

Agree an expert should make the determination (obviously), but my money is on RG did not sign at least one of these. The first letter is markedly different, for starters. This isn't rocket science.

TS said one of the charges they are considering is insurance fraud. An expert has likely already weighed in.

I am wondering if this woman talking anonymously about signing beneficiary forms for GG is a Cindy Anthony type that would say she googled chloroform. I want to see proof before I believe it.

Really, there is no way I can believe this woman is being truthful. She's probably not even a real ex-girlfriend.
