Is one of his family members planning on dying???? I don't think he is rich....he was complaining about the large mortgage he has on his home. jmo

Baez said he didnt need the money, he is already wealthy, well I know who does want that money him ! he prolly told Gary" ok buddy I get you off the insurance money is mine! LOL"

Jose Baez threatened RG's BF on Fox, telling him he is close to a defamation suit. BF did not back down. Then Baez tried to threaten him with FBI reports on what happened before the Aurba trip, and again the BF did not back down. BF said why does he always have to have you by his side, why can't he simply speak the truth, and why bring his young sons into this situation. Baez's voice got a bit high pitched and he did not fare well, even with his buddy Geraldo trying his best to help him out.

I wish the BF had more time to speak his peace. He was getting into areas that seemed to upset Baez. I would have liked to hear more from him. How dare Baez tell him this will be his last interview. :furious:

Normal would be if GG swam to the SURFACE... then noticed that RG did not surface... perhaps he could have a view from looking from above... Why swim all the way to shore, or close to shore.. without any concern about RG who is less formidable in size versus the conditions. He abandoned her... hmm I wonder why? He should have gone to the surface, not the shore. He is getting better at these interviews, unfortunately, hopefull Taco can research if there's a difference in his story.

GG must be making loads of money doing these interviews ... with Baez taking his cut for each one, but I have to agree that he is digging himself a hole by talking so much during an ongoing investigation. He must be assuming that it is impossible for him to ever face trial in Aruba.

I believe he did say so on the GMA program. Every program he answers questions on will eventually trip him up. He is lying. Even if we caught him in one lie anything he would have to say would then be questionable. People don't lie about events unless they are hiding something. jmo
Yup...heard him say it as well.

  • #346
He said in the GMA interview that he was given the idea to leave by RG's mother. "Go home, Gary." After hearing this, Gary is delighted. He wants OUT. He does not really care about sticking around to possibly help... to get answers... to demonstrate that he cares. A quick exit. Plus, the excuse of "oh, the girl at the airports is just a ticket agent, I did not want to get into it." is suspicious... because you don't make up a lie, like "nah, she's taking a later flight," it would be done in a better way... without lying. Show's he is not truthful. They need to search his computers and texts and stuff... we'll get our answers then. Book 'em.

When your name is Jose Baez having just beaten the living daylights outta Linda Drane Burdick, Jeff Ashton and the majority of the media, every interview is an exclusive.
Really?

And ... while we're on the topic ... those blue eyed blond haired Dutch can't be all that much of a hit on the Netherlands Antilles Islands, like Aruba.
Have you been?

Comments Giordano made about a storm:

Suspect In Aruban Missing Person Case Defiantly Claims Innocence In Bizarre Interview
VIDEO
by Nando Di Fino | 8:50 am, December 1st, 2011

* The reason he hopped on a different plane than he was originally supposed to take was because the ticket agent said a tropical storm was coming and there was another plane about to leave.

Gary Giordano Takes On Critics
Suspect in Robyn Gardner disappearance tells his side of the story.
09:33 | 12/04/2011

* Interviewer - Gary, you have said a storm came in at this moment, and that's what put you in distress. You didn't say that just now, but you have said it in the past. Is that what happened?

Gary - No, I've never said there was a storm. What I have said is later on the next day I noticed on the news that there was a tropical storm north of the island which was causing the wind to become windy one moment and dead the next moment. So there was no storm, no freak storm that came up and washed us out to the ocean. That was, I believe, some other reporter had mentioned that as a statement before a question.

i just watched the nightline report linked earlier in the thread and a few things caught my attention:

1) GG said that day on the beach he and RG were "in sight" of others on baby beach... yet when he realized RG wasn't there he went to none of these people for help?

2) and none of these people have come forward to say they saw this couple on the beach/in the water? or saw GG looking frantically and shouting for RG?

3) GG said he had to "run around" looking for someone at the reef bar... that video never once shows him running lol

many discrepancies!!

he does say re: the insurance there was no way to "unselect" (not uncheck) RG off the American Express insurance. has anyone here ever purchased AE travel insurance who can prove/disprove this?
You type the personal information in. Now this is what I don't get...he supposedly had to phone to request additional insurance...so what was he "unselecting"? He could have told the person at the other end of the phone to do whatever he wanted. If he was worried about Robyn having a beneficiary, the agent would have told him she should have her own coverage. If he was worried about something happening while on vacation and the need to recoup what he paid out, he could have taken out insurance without naming her. I'd be interested in knowing if he had the "cancel for any reason" inclusion. Didn't someone cancel on him before?

Why would a 50 year old man be responsible for decisions made by a 35 year old woman? No one forced Robyn to take sleeping pills, drink alcohol or do anything, for that matter.
Insurance won't cover it (abuse of alcohol). The insurance company would say that she was responsible and therefore won't pay out.

Now I wish I had watched!

He can say what he wants to, I heard him say that there was a storm out there and I'm sticking to it. :)

We don't know if he dropped something in her drink or not. But we do know that he was quite an experienced snorkeler. His oldest son said that on Geraldo today. So surely he knew that a drunk and high woman who rarely swam in the ocean, should not go out and snorkel so far in the deep rough water. So I do hold him responsible for her going missing if his story is true.

If he was a frequent snorkeler, chances are he had an extra set of equipment for Robyn (used by his sons). 35 year old women are supposed to know their limitations and if the water is too dangerous for them, they shouldn't go in the water. It is not someone else's fault if they do. The Refinery was within view, but the area is known for snorkeling the coral reefs.

What is unusual is that they snorkelled so late in the day. Granted, they had a late start to the day and there was still sunlight at 4:15 P.M. (the sun drops fast in that part of the world), but the dive shop was shutting down ... as we heard from GG when he finally looked for help. It is a bit late to be starting a day at the beach. I would be very interested in knowning what their next plan was ... after snorkeling ... back to the hotel for more drinks and photos ... an evening meal at some point?

and an experienced snorkeler most definately knows not to go out in the ocean with just your tennis shoes on and since he said he had flippers why did he use them? I think he might have used them and this gave him a great advantage over poor Robyn.

IIRC from the Holloway case is it true that one side of Aruba's island has the ocean going out to sea and the other side washes everything a shore? If this is true, which side were they snorkeling on?

This was talked about so many times that anyone who followed the case even briefly might possible have heard this.

They were on the most southern tip, where the current goes away from the Island.

In the below map, the green dot should be further south; right at the Southern tip of the Island where the surf is rough. The map was made early in the case and I wasn't sure if it was Rogers Beach or Nanki Beach ... Nanki is the correct location. The car was parked at the end of the road. The green dot is closer to the restaurant/dive shop.
