Robyn was not a local. In fact she was a 35 yr old office worker. She probably had very tender feet. imo

Yes, I agree. IMO, one would have to be part "reptile" to enter the water barefoot in that location.

Not necessarily.....no body, no case. Remember?

That statement made 6 and a half years ago has been taken out of context.

No body, no case, does not apply to Aruba alone, it is an internationally used term amongst the legal fraternity worldwide.

Coral is a different story to rocks.

I grew up literally at the sea and spent the majority of my life up until about 16 years old on the beach.

The only time I wore shoes was to school, otherwise we played barefeet.

I also fished barefeet for sharks from the shore and from the rocks.

It was far safer to be barefeet than to wear any form of shoes or sandals even though there were rubber fishing sandals available.

The point that I am trying to make is that area as shown in the video would not have posed any problem to me with barefeet.

I wager the locals would be accustomed to being barefeet there.

Yes, coral are different than rocks - I passed my 6th grade life science class :P

I grew up near the beach (not ON, but 50 miles away), as well and went barefoot there all the time - until a jellyfish renewed my love of shower shoes. What GG pointed out were slippery, sharp rocks, IMO - not to mention GG had on his shoes, but then we now know only GG's safety was important to GG, so that really means nothing.

Barefoot shark fishing from the shore, I'm impressed - what did you use as bait to attract a shark to the shore? Is that safe - to attract sharks to the shore? I know when they breed they come close to shore in some areas, otherwise I'm pretty ignorant to this process.

Maybe a shark was attracted to Robyn's blood and she was the victim of a shark attack??

What is coral rock ?

Having viewed the footage of that area, those rocks are just rocks found in any sea rock pool.

Sure, if you kick your toe or dont walk in the correct manner, you may get a cut or two.

But to say that one cannot walk there is not correct, I would walk over those rocks, no problem.

But we are not going to be ad idem on this subject so I won't continue with it other than to say, shalll we agree to disagree ?

I will agree that the locals and LE know what they are talking about because I have been there. Someone younger, much younger, could possibly walk out there in their barefeet if you were cold stone sober and get lucky and not cut your foot, if you were lucky.

The locals tell you no one, no one enters the water in that area. If you do you are "loco". The fact that she was drinking vodka and had taken a sleeping pill prior to supposedly trying to enter the water there tells me she would have fallen and if nothing less than that they would have drawn a lot of attention. But witnesses stated they did not go into the water. So the fact remains that no one saw them in the water and a few saw them leave by car shortly after 4:30pm. I will agree with that. jmo

There are a few other inconsistencies besides those you listed. For example, GG stated that Robyn had taken a sleeping pill earlier in the day and had been drinking. Does that seem consistent with someone you would take snorkeling for their first time ever?

And it was very late in the afternoon---a very silly time to try and snorkel because the water is too dark because of the angle of the sun.

And the witnesses say they saw them walking on the beach, but never entered the water. Other witnesses saw them drive off without entering the water. Those are also inconsistencies in his story.

Add to it the fact that she was dressed with her make up done, her extensions all curled and done up, and she had been leisurely drinking and eating all afternoon---what makes her suddenly want to snorkel that day?

Yes their behavior had some very curious aspects , but the way I see it you can be a pretty irresponsible adult , so much so that it may cause your demise, but that behavior is attributed to 2 adults. God knows what "they" were thinking RG as well as GG. Just because you or I may not do these things, doesn't mean someone else wouldn't.

I guess I was thinking more along the lines of "statements" made by ALE to back up some claims made here that there were "serious" inconsistencies. Serious enough to keep GG in Aruba. We do not know what they are, ALE has never released them.

For instance, Let's say GG told ALE they were back in their rooms by 9pm the night before, now that is a red flag because there are time stamped photos of them at the party, as well as lobby cameras recording there whereabouts .. or that RG went snorkeling, but they have never found her dress, shoes, handbag etc. See where I am going. Those are MAJOR. As it stands right now, the timeline is intact as a reasonable explanation of events. It is GG's perception of those events that seem askew. Does that make sense?

Hope so---well....off to grandmothers house we go!! Ho Ho Ho!!

Plenty sharks right in the bathing areas where I come from, no need to lure them in, you just need to be able to cast out beyond the breakers with the correct cocktail of bait.

I fished for sharks off far more rugged rocks than that, in fact I have caught very big sharks from a ledge like that and fought them for hours with flip flops on that would come off during the tussle.

This was not the exact location GG indicated they went into the water. The rocks were larger and more coral like. This area contains smaller rocks and you notice except for one local with flip flops, LE and the rescuse personnel have on heavy boots. You could easily break an ankle if you were not careful on the rocks. As I said nothing, nothing in the continential US can compare to what Aruba has on their eastern coast. So trying to compare life experiences here in the US are not comparable to Aruba. jmo

I thought you fished barefoot?

I am not comparing life experiences in the US, I am comparing very similiar terrain, in fact Aruba is less rugged than what I am comparing it to.

Rocky Point is the location where Gary claims they went snorkeling.

I doubt there is anything similiar in the US to what you will see in Aruba. Have you been, by-the-way? jmo

Been to neither but the Aruban coast and shoreline is similiar to some parts that I am well accustomed to.

Looks like low tide, would be even better at high tide.

Tide doesn't matter. It would be impossible to walk into the water in that location without fins or shoes/sneakers, unless one has feet like a reptile.
