Were there any conventions at the convention center?I still can't shake the idea that it was someone who was in AC for that period of time only (Oct 7-Nov 19 I believe). What profession would bring you into town for that period only? If I have dates right, Molly disappeared on a Sat (10/7); Barbara on Tuesday (10/17); Tracey anywhere from Tuesday -Friday (11/7-11/10?) and Kim Sunday morning (11-19).
So 1st and last disappeared on a weekend (favoring a Saturday)....2nd and 3rd during the week (Perhaps favoring a Tuesday)
Just thinking out loud
Please correct me if wrong dates or if they actually are questionable.
This article says ms. Roberts called her mom on 11/8/06 and asked her to pick her up in AC, but changed her mind.![]()
Interesting article by The NY Post dated November 25, 2006 concerning Tracy Ann Roberts.
http://nypost.com/2006/11/25/atl-city-gal-died-with-pal-2nd-strangler-victim/
'Friends of the second victim who saw her autopsy photo, said they are convinced she is a 23-year-old Philadelphia native, who was last seen by her roommate Oct 27.
She was real pretty, said Charles Coles, 40, who lived with the woman in an Atlantic City flophouse at the time she vanished. Her and Kim were friends.'
Later:
'The last time Coles saw the women was on Oct. 27 which was a big night in the gambling mecca because the Sands casino was shutting down. He said that night, a trick went bad for the sex-world newcomer and she wound up going to an emergency room after a beating.
A john punched her in the throat, Coles said. She was spitting blood and she had just gotten out [when he saw her]. She looked OK.'
First off I'm going have to call Mr. Coles on his recollection of dates. In every report I've read it was Nov 8th that Ms. Roberts checked into a hospital so the Oct. 27th date doesn't cut it. Also The Sands Casino closed on Sat. Nov 11th and yes, I agree, it was a big deal that it was closing.
To a lot of folks, myself included, The Sands was their favorite casino. It was grungy enough but had a certain Rat Pack feel about it. The bartenders wore purple pork-pie hats and sometimes did those flips with the bottles that Tom Cruise did in that movie Cocktail. So it was sad when it was announced that it was closing.
Rumor had it that the slots were paying off big because they had to move the machines and that the dealers didn't care how much anyone won because they were headed to the unemployment line anyway. Rumors of course but it would be a lot more crowded than usual.
So, if the time-line is adjusted to fit known facts I could see Mr. Coles meeting up with Ms. Roberts on Friday the 10th of Nov. If she disappeared on that day it might be a bit longer than the Medical Examiners determination of her being in the ditch 'up to a week'. If it was that day then it would be 10 days.
As always, just my opinion.

"Roberts, a high school dropout from Delaware, wanted out of the life she had made for herself. On Nov. 8, 2006, she called her mother to pick her up in Atlantic City, The Star-Ledger previously reported. Then she changed her mind. Within days, she was dead. She also left a daughter."

There was a woman found dead in a laundry chute inside the Atlantic Palace complex on the boardwalk on Nov 1st, 2015. It's difficult to determine if it was a suicide or something more suspicious because once the family identified the woman news reports end.

There was actually a similar incident concerning a woman's death in a laundry chute in Las Vegas and that was ruled an accidental death.

On another note, possibly one of the last photos of Tara Rogers-Alicia taken while she was alive was a selfie she took in a room at the Borgata. That would involve Steven Stallworth. That case is ongoing and has been discussed at length here.
Another good article that says she left the hospital with two unidentified men.I take it you're referring to the call she made to her mother from the hospital that day (11/08/06). Sad she didn't wait for her mother. The person who would know the exact date she dissappeared is named Dante.
Sometime in mid-November, a street hustler named Dante said he went clothes shopping with Tracy Roberts. She bought the outfit she was wearing when her body was found.
"She said, 'I'll be back in like a hour,'" Dante remembers. "She never came back."

A good bet might be poker tournaments. A quick check and I see the Taj Mahal held a Texas Hold'em tournament on Oct 7th, 2006.

Ironic that you mention trucks and the soup kitchen. Just this morning I was checking on news reports for deliveries to the soup kitchen and came across this article.
"Every day, the Food Bank delivers leftovers from Trump Taj Mahal to the church. On Fridays, Trump Marina, Trump Plaza and the Sands contribute leftovers."
https://lasvegassun.com/news/2002/dec/23/gamblers-help-themselves-at-atlantic-city-soup-kit/
Reading that description I took it that the driver making the delivery didn't necessarily work for the Taj Mahal but rather a Food Bank. A quick check and I found The Community Foodbank of New Jersey located at 6735 E Black Horse Pike.
Interesting speculation, brainstorming with you...
Someone the women knew enough to take a ride with and not stand out in anyone's mind if they happen to see these women getting into a vehicle. On the "track" I'm sure the other working girls would take note if they wanted to have each other's back or needed info for a pimp asking where she was seen last. With some of the victims it wasn't noticed they were missing right away and the thinking was maybe they left town.
I would think within the "community" there would be idle chat like "where's 'so-and-so' lately, haven't seen her" and "oh last I saw her was 'with ___' " or "getting into a black Nissan Maxima with out of state plates" which I cannot find the article that I recall mentions the "out of state plates".
Of course an easy way to spot out of state plates in Jersey, since Jersey and New York require front and rear plates, bordering Delaware and PA do not require front plates. So of course if you see the front of the vehicle, no plate means out of state. "What state? I don't know, I only saw the front".
So back to the "and yet nobody saw anything" situation we have here, does point to it being someone they knew, trusted to certain extent, and maybe not too noticeable an event for them to be getting into or seen with the SK. There was definitely a vehicle involved. I keep getting a work truck, no windows in the back, tradesman looking truck, blends in with all the other panel work service or delivery trucks out and about. I don't see anything unique about the vehicle like a company name, it would not work if it stood out too much, dark in color works better at night behind the Golden Key. Thinking of Cynical_1's connection to the Soup kitchen, could it be someone who did work or delivered there often? Someone who they might often catch a ride with going up or down the avenue?
As always, my opinion, just trying a line of thinking.
In my notes I wrote that the plates were from PA and ended with 0889. This came from Denise hill, she also mentioned he said his name was eldred. Have we ruled out ERB yet? You've said it better that I ever could have. In 2006 Papa Joe Bocchino must be, what, 64 years old. At night, he can spot the make, color and model of a car one of these girls got into (black Nissan Maxima). Even noticed that it had out of state plates. No doubt he told the police everything he knew and probably furnished a description of the driver as well.
The point being that these four women didn't live in a vacuum. They conducted a lot of their business in an alley right there where they lived. A block with plenty of crack addicts and sex workers out and about.
Aside from that diner where they were known to gather I've always thought that the other place, the soup kitchen, where they were known to eat was a focal point. I'll post links to articles that place these individuals at the soup kitchen. It's just a hunch that I'm inclined to follow.

Kenny Bilecki, who is currently incarcerated in Atlantic County jail on a drug offense, was the boyfriend of Kim Raffo, the first of four victims identified after their bodies were found last week in the West Atlantic City section of Egg Harbor Township. Another inmate told Bilecki she was with Raffo on what might have been her last night alive.

It may have been her last night alive.
Kim Raffo, one of four prostitutes found dead last week behind a string of motels in West Atlantic City, was welcomed by three men as she climbed into a large green van along with another woman named Pam. The group departed on a late-night trip to several different motel rooms.
But after one of the men a white man with greasy black hair, a dark beard and a beer belly began assaulting the girls with insults such as dirty and rambling about a 15-year prison term he served for murder, Pam decided she had heard enough and left the party. Raffo stayed.
That's the story Raffo's boyfriend, Kenny Bilecki, told The Press on Thursday during an hour-long interview at the Atlantic County jail. He said Pam who since that night has also become incarcerated told him the story during his midnight work shift at the jail.
I didn't have much time to talk to her, said Bilecki, who would not divulge Pam's last name. I don't know the whole details of what she was in for but I do know that when she came to me ... she was beaten up pretty bad. I haven't seen her since.
Bilecki said investigators with the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office questioned him Monday at the jail and also interviewed Pam for more than two hours.
I'm real nervous about giving you this because I don't want to mess up this investigation, said Bilecki, who has served the majority of a 364-day sentence for cocaine possession.
Since the bodies were found, officials have been careful not to comment on any developments or details regarding the investigation. They have only released the identities of the four women.
Part of this investigation is we have interviewed a lot of people, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jeffrey S. Blitz said Thursday in response to questions about Bilecki's claims. I am not going to say who.
However, several city residents said investigators have been showing sketches and cell-phone pictures of a man who resembles the erratic man in Pam's story.
Denise Hill, a resort prostitute who knew some of the victims, said she recognizes the man in the pictures and said she spent the night with him at a Best Western Hotel on Pacific Avenue. She said he only being asked her to console him as he told her he had done terrible things in his past. Hill said Thursday that the man, who she claims is named Eldridge, had a Pennsylvania license plate on his car that ended with the numbers 0889.
A hotel clerk at the Best Western attempted to look up the name in the customer registry after being provided the limited information but could not find a similar listing.
On Tuesday, Charles Ish Coles, of Atlantic City, who was friends with Raffo, said he was worried authorities consider him a suspect. He said he has been harassed with questions about the homicide.
Although Coles resembles the description of the picture that is circulating, Hill insists it's not him.
Another point of interest in the investigation, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, has been room 101 at the Golden Key Motel. Motel workers have refused to allow anyone in the room and would not give a reason for their refusal. Blitz would not comment on how the room may fit into the investigation.
Blitz said his task force, which consists of five different agencies including the FBI, has been busy since the four women Raffo, 35, of Atlantic City; Tracy Ann Roberts, 23, of Atlantic City; Barbara V. Breidor, 42, of Ventnor; and Molly Jean Dilts, 20, of Blairsville, Pa. were identified. Authorities said the bodies were in the marsh behind the motel for a period of about a week to a month.
Since we released the information about the identity of the victims, we have received a good bit of information, the prosecutor said.
Despite the first victim being identified more than a week ago, Blitz said he's still not ready to release any of the bodies, which remain in a morgue that the Atlantic County Medical Examiner's Office leases at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point.
Once we have given instructions to the medical examiner that we have no further use for the bodies, the ME will be authorized to release them, Blitz said.
Hugh Auslander, Raffo's ex-husband, said Thursday that he has been inquiring about the release of her body.
They're not releasing her yet, he said. Possibly at the end of the week. I am waiting to hear from the Medical Examiner and the Prosecutor's offices.
