"I do agree though that if you are travelling Adelaide to Canberra you wouldn't go via Mt Gambier." quote

Logic would agree with you.. However being experienced in organising freight from Adelaide to Canberra.. very little of it goes direct. Most will go via Sydney, however the majority of freight in Australia runs btw Sydney and Melbourne and if a truck is empty returning from the west via Adelaide and can pick up.. it will go East towards Melbourne ( Mt Gambier) before heading north towards NSW.

With regards to the 90K taken from Karlies bank account, how much in parenting payments would she have been receiving a year?
I think someone earlier suggested about $15-20K including bonuses.

I'm guessing the incarcerated guy is the male involved and that he was a trucker. One of the women dumped the suitcase, probably soon after the bank account was closed due to inactivity. They thought the inactivity meant enough time had passed.

Dumbsnit.

Maybe the woman/man that dumped the suitcase wanted it to be found in the hope that it would lead detectives to the killer, as they couldn't do or say anything for so long out of fear for their own life?

Or maybe whoever dumped it didn't even know there were human remains in inside?

Theres no obvious explanation why it was dumped on the side of a busy highway, of all places

... and the RTA refused to let my son get his license without a 'real' birth certificate.

He had a real one, it was a commemorative version, signed by the registrar of births, deaths and marriages. But it wasn't 'real' and we had to pay $70 for a new one :/

I wonder if they only stopped using the account because the keycard expired?

I know banks have very strong security when changing address/PIN number etc.

No they dont . I can call up my bank now say my card was lost and ask for a new one . As long as i know my account number birthday and address full name

They would send the new card and send a new pin a few days before or after

https://www.ato.gov.au/General/the-...ws-and-results/tax-crime-prosecution-results/

Serious tax-related fraud offences are investigated by the ATO, sometimes in partnership with the Australian Federal Police (AFP).

Serious tax crime prosecution results in 2014-15
Serious tax crime prosecution results in 2013-14

Maybe the killer is one of these convicted persons?

(Thoughts going to Company Formation, trucks, ...)

They do . 1000 twice a year

If it is a loan then it would have to be paid back still though, wouldn't it? You would only be able to scam Centrelink of a couple of grand before they stop giving you more loans wouldn't you?

You pay it back fortnightly out of your benefits before you get them centrelink takes out the loan repayment . It takes 6 months to pay back 1000 . Then you can apply again

The amount automatically comes out of future payments.
