Good imagery to see what its like and remember too that this is a whilst after a bush fire so its way clearer on the undergrowth than it would have been. It still doesnt show the exact spot so you can see it on a map. It must be part of protocol the locations exact arent released.
This is the video Wanted on Channel Ten.
Think it has been posted before.
It takes you for a drive to the spot.

The pink shows the main drive through the forest. down to the rifle range , Scouts Orienteering etc.
The aqua is where you would divert off to get to Karlies spot.
Green circle is the area where she was found.
Orange is Milats territory.

The first time I ever went to the forest I naturally followed the pink line .. through the pines and then reaching the native forest.
Milat who had knowledge of the forest would veer right and head over to the northern side which isn't on the commonly driven path. You go his way for a reason as its not really a through pass unless you have a good 4 wld. That is once you reach the native forest. The pines are just pines with nowhere to hide anything. But when the forest starts its tough.

Following the pink line, its easier to get deep into native forest in any car. Unless you divert off the main tracks then it gets a bit more serious.

So check it out and see what you can come up with.
To me it looks like straight in to what seems remote. Whether knowingly or by basic follow your nose stuff I dont know.

The overhead shot shows how far of the track she was " blue tent" is that far enough to think she wont be found ?

Plongi, I would be interested to know if you can add where David Auchterlonie was killed as well (if you know)?? Not suggesting it is related but just trying to get a lay of the land.

Bones get moved around by animals sadly.
A fire had been through there too so maybe the clothes were burnt away.

Thanks plongi, yes, could have been animals. I'm not too sure about the clothes being burnt away though (although that could be the case). There were no bushfires in Belanglo as far as I was able to ascertain between 2008 - 2010 when the remains would have laid there. There was also no mention of burnt clothing or remains - though once again, that still could have been the case and it just wasn't reported. Strange that one t-shirt remained in good enough nick though.

They could have done some burning off though, so it's possible - or a bushfire in that area wasn't listed in the links above. I'm still not 100% sure either way at this stage.

I will find the link where they talk of a fire.

With regards to the placement of Karli's body, I think he must have had some level of planning/advice (eg. a mud map) — because that doesn't look like a casual drive in the bush! It is definitely the road less travelled. Maybe not as dumb as we have thunk.

Thinkin' the same poss. I imagine it would be easy to get lost in there at night.

The motorbike rider In the Wanted video says his friend 'overshot' the curve in the road and went
off the path a bit. You can see a curve in the road on plongi's map.

If you keep going it goes down into a valley that opens out a bit. Locked gates etc

Thanks plongi, those details were excellent re the forest and access routes vs the site where she was found.

This link shows a map of the Belanglo forest. What the aerial maps do not show is if you drove much further along the road marked in aqua, and did not turn off, you

would be out of the forest and into a cleared area. So not what i would classify as "deep" in the forest. so again, goes to perhaps a lack of familiarity with the area.

Isn't he referred to as a "family friend".
I'll see if I can find where that was written.

If my memory serves me correctly I think this was the case.
I'm also of the opinion that he may be a friend of HP. I believe he grew up in the same area as her.

Still struggling with the whole left Alice in 2006 to travel and left Alice in 2008 to travel.

Also Centrelink was Salisbury which I noted in an earlier post was not the nearest office if it was HP in the wheelchair.
The bank was located in Elizabeth

The last reworked map after feedback and research. Aqua is Brethren, Yellow is RedArm and Red is Belanglo road. Belanglo road goes through to the pistol club orienteering etc

Yes, no nothing zero caravan. But what maybe absurd thinking of a vehicle somewhere, which is used for hiding a little child? At the person's home, near wife/children/neighbours perhaps? Rather not.
Where did BS allegly have his "pastime" with children? In a caravan.
Where did a couple hear unusual child noises in case William? Out of a caravan in a caravan park.
Whether shabby and old or brandnew and whether a caravan or a car, that isn't important. But a caravan may have capacity.

This case has nothing to do with BS or William. Please leave it out of the discussion.

It is known that Karlie’s mother raised a missing persons report on 4 September, 2009, in Alice Springs and normal initial investigation inquiries at that time indicated signs of active life,” he said.

“The investigation was subsequently filed on 10 September, 2009, after Karlie’s mum withdrew her concern as she advised that she had received contact from Karlie, that she was safe and did not want further contact.”

I wonder who knew that the missing persons report was filed and they mum got a call?

Plongi, great sleuthing and thank you for the maps.

What a remarkable resemblance between mother and daughter.
This is an early pic of Karlie.

"Mini Me"

So sad these two lives were cut short in such horrific circumstances.
