When the decomposing body of a young woman was found in an Australian forest in 2010, police immediately thought of the country’s most notorious serial killer, Ivan Milat.

I doubt the women knew of one another, (with exception to karlie knowing of hazel) he was probably "a player" with different low self esteem women supporting him here and there.

I hope that this isn't going to sink into a story of 'sister - wives' right there in Canberra, Mrs G.. that would be hard to take on top of all the rest in this outrageous and incomprehensible violence for the ease of access to a single mothers pension payment....

But it looks like you can see that she has an amputated leg. Surely centerlink would have written that down at the interview. And there wuld have been quenstions about the injury etc. etc. And what are the odds of two woman of the same age in the same city both on Centerlink benefits? With a missing left leg (in case she had an interview as well with her own identity at Centerlink).

Now that I think of it. Why did 'Karlie' have a Centerlink interview in Adelaide and not in Alice Springs? Wouldn't an Adelaide address have to be known to Centerlink in order to have the inteview in Adelaide?

Makara - what a night! Surprised to see this thread even back up and running. I'd just delete the whole thread, instead having to waste your time and going back and editing. It's great practical evidence of how some very irresponsible reporting in the media can cause chaos. Thanks for hanging in there.

As for HP not being arrested, which could obviously be because there is nothing to arrest her for, don't forget GBC's infamous visits to police stations and doctors for caterpillar attack inspections....

Sooo lets talk about the future of this. DH is in jail. How will the court stuff unfold as far as expected times, are trials generally open in Australia? I'm thinking not but perhaps I am wrong!

I am hoping we get something for little Khandles soon as well. However she died needs to be brought to light and the person(s) responsible need to answer for what they have done.

I hope every single person who knew about this spends time behind bars. To know about this, and to hold onto it for WHATEVER reason is disgusting.

just my opinion - I also think DJH did all the driving with Karlie - why would a young mum up root herself from family and friends and travel such distances without the promise of serious mozza? (Yeah I know love...) but the next thing is likely to be cash....

I think Karlie might have been driving DJH around. He had no licence, she had no money. They became business partners of sorts, but somewhere it went wrong.

Confirmation of the occupants of the car that crashed killing the two young children driven by Holdom as I know there was a bit of confusion over this on previous posts.

Holdom’s 4WD rolled on the Stuart Highway about 55km north of Marla about 10pm on Wednesday, September 15, 2008.
Two of Ms Passmore’s children, Willow, 9, and Ryan, 7, were killed. Her third child, Lauren, survived.
Holdom, Ms Passmore and Lauryn were flown to Alice Springs for hospital treatment after the crash.

Court documents claim police came across Holdom, 41, stopped on the side of Mangrove Rd with property piled “head high” in the vehicle.
Holdom told police he was “just broken down” but according to the documents, they questioned him further when he became “very nervous and his hands were shaky”.

It's a shame some people here keep breaking the rules. I wish serial offenders could be booted. I much prefer to come here for discussions rather than Facebook. I have stopped going to Facebook to discuss a case because it's full of attention seekers throwing around wild rumours no matter what the case is. It makes me grateful for the rules here and the moderators.

I wondered that too, and the clothing of the other child that was killed. It makes me wonder if (and this is horribly morbid) the remains were part of the shrine to the children. The shrine that they appeared to hastily abandon along with the prosthetic.

When Holdom was stopped by police with his car piled high, I wonder if the remains were in there.
