Police somehow established that Karlie was killed in Belanglo Forest on 14/15 December 2008. I believe to narrow her death to two dates or spanning the two dates, they must have had irrefutable proof from someone. It is likely that they also have established that Kandalyce was gone by end of December 2008 from a similar source. It could be neighbours relative to where they were staying, a shopkeeper, doctor, appt, child carer or any number of other sources.

Or, it could be something Holdrum himself said, .. somehow, I cant see him coughing up the story that he murdered a tiny child in cold blood, not to a couple of toughish NSW coppers.. the image is all, if he did it, it will have to be wrung out of him, because it doesn't sit well with other prisoners, when one gets shunted off to Goulburn .. I can see him shoving the story off on to someone else, at this point in time, either by claim or indication.

Or a photo somewhere. Some one has a pic of Khandalyce, without Karlie, that can be verified absolutely at a certain date. After Karlie's death. And the NSW D's are pretty certain of her date of death.

Or ... the coppers know it all and are playing a long game as is so often done in these sorts of enterprises... .. that sounds about right.

Maybe it's just Bill's lunch :)

HP's not carrying it in the video of her arriving, but it may be in another bag on the back of her chair perhaps.

attachment.php

It's probably his retainer. I hear it costs a heap of $$€ to hire a lawyer. Chances are her accounts are frozen and it's time to look under the mattress.

just kidding ... sort of

I actually have family and friends in the force here Jane so I am not totally clueless! :gaah:

Yeah, me too.
Perhaps we know each other IRL?

EDIT: Assuming by "here" you mean in SA, do you?

I didn't pose the question, Makara.

I responded to Kouriouskell who wrote:
"with all the scrutiny regarding the mis quoted reports, can and any one else remember an interview that said that the first time HP was at the police station , she was helping criminal detective with their inquiries and on Friday she was helping Homicide detectives with their enquiries ? "

I responded that I couldn't find that link either. I said "Nope. I couldn't find that specific quote at the time either."

Then the conversation continued from there.

I explained that there is no such thing as a dedicated "homicide" group/division/section in SA.
Then I linked the SAAPOl Annual Report explaining the organisational structure.

Fair enough, my apologies. The fact is DH was arrested in NSW, not SA so it's a moot point.

Back on topic.

Puggle do you not understand the sub judice law yet? NSW MSM would be loath to paste DH's photo all over their pages. And do you really think that DH has the luxury of saying what he wants and doesn't want printed in a newspaper?

BBM. What link is supposed to cipped to the front page of each new thread? We have a Media/Timeline thread if you want to find a specific link. The link to the Media/Timeline thread is on page one of this thread. And there is always Google.

Yes Makara I am fully aware of what sub judice law is.....I have not asked a question...posed a post which would even touch on encroaching sub judice law by definintion ?????.... definition for those interested : "under judicial consideration and therefore prohibited from public discussion elsewhere"......

Question...why would NSW be loathed Makara to paste DH's Photo over their pages???....

I never stated or said that DH had any luxury of what was printed in the newspapers????

Sorry...I forgot what it was called.....I will check the media/timeline thread to see if the information I am after is there sheeesh...... just trying to do what everyone else is here to do..help...because I care...

Exactly, Puggle.
We are all here because we care - I hope.
Could it simply be that tired eyes and tired people are misreading things tonight?

Puggle - to see the front pages of most (maybe not all) major Au newspapers, this is a good resource : http://en.kiosko.net/au/

The reporter is standing outside HP's current home in Davoren Park.
But she cannot have lived there any earlier than 2011 because that is when she left the Hillbank house.

If Khandalyse was killed in late 2008 or even early 2009, then what this reporter is saying is false.

Regarding the house, it is possible for a person to keep a HSA house in their name, but rent it out privately and live elsewhere. It certainly is not allowed, and is against the housing rules, but who would let the rules get in the way? That's for other people, evidently.

The Hillbank house may have been in another persons name, or even a false name. Who on earth would have suspected something like that, hey?

Apparently there has been a lot of it going on in the northern suburbs, i.e subletting to others, and just from what I have heard through work, HSA was going to be cracking down on it.

I agree, Trooper.
They must have some sort of evidence that they are very sure proves Khandalyce was alive after Karlie's murder.
I wonder what .......

A copy of your original post below Puggles.

You said...I think they should saturate the NSW towns of Orange, Bathurst and even Dubbo with front page headshots of the accused ..... and see what happens then... IMO.....could be interesting.

What are you suggesting here? The case is under sub judice in NSW so why do you think it would be interesting to see front page headshots of DH in MSM?

The rules of sub judice apply here on Websleuths as of when DH was arrested. There is a lot more to the laws of sub judice besides "under judicial consideration and therefore prohibited from public discussion elsewhere"......

You said...I never stated or said that DH had any luxury of what was printed in the newspapers????

Yet in your first post you said...there's a reason he doesn't want his face out there....and it isn't just this case...

Yes, the majority of us are here because we care.

Thanks Jane.....what!!! no cupcakes lol...

These are Adelaide Papers yeah....??

I've' tried with no luck to search back through the pages.....and couldn't find the media link..I thought it was supposed to be clipped to the first page of each new thread?? .. What was the alias/or reported MSM name of the 16 year old he was engaged to??

I personally know someone that did this . I had no idea until another person told me what was happening so it is possible . The people involved were also ripping off centrelink . So it definately happens

When it come to money matters, would HP have received a rather large third party insurance payout for her accident?

Was there a third party involved? I didn't read that I thought the car rolled. But if there was another car involved at fault, possible. TAC would be a given I think? That would mostly pay for home care, rehab equipment only.

When it come to money matters, would HP have received a rather large third party insurance payout for her accident?

One of my relatives was injured in a car accident. Only the one vehicle involved. The driver was found to be at fault and my relative was paid compensation. It was made up of a number of components, including future loss of earnings and future medical expenses. With regard to those, it was made very clear to him (my relative) that money should be kept aside for those purposes, if he went out and blew it all he was bang out of luck if he needed to claim from Centrelink or pay for medical expenses related to the injuries he was being paid out for. No Medicare, no disability payments. It was calculated x amount for x many years for loss of income... run out of money in the meantime, bad luck. x amount for future medical expenses... if you spend it on something else or your expenses turn out to be more, bad luck, that's the amount you agreed to, no Medicare for that.

There was more for pain and suffering etc. As a lump sum it can sound like a huge amount, but it could need to last a long time. I think sometimes people assume that if someone is disabled from an accident they automatically get a big payout and a disability pension as well and it may well not be the case (generally speaking, not directed to anyone on here!).

I should say..this was quite a few years ago and in a different state to what is being discussed here, so rules might have changed, be different etc etc.

All IMO only.

I used to run a cleaning business and did a lot of work for real estate agency's. We used to call some cleans midnight runs because the tenant would just pack what they could fit into their cars of a small moving van and leave everything as it was furniture and all. Almost always in the middle of the night. People would leave all sorts of stuff one time even ultrasound pics and full photo albums. If she didn't like using the prosthetic leg maybe she didn't think twice about leaving it. One time we even found a prosthetic arm! At one place it took 3 massive skip bins to clear it out! If they didn't want to clean the place or were owing rent and maybe had damaged the property so knew their bond wouldn't be given back then maybe they did a midnight run and just left whatever they couldn't take in whatever vehicle they used to move. Just a thought :/

The Tele had the photo saturation successfully covered as of friday. I was pretty shocked to see the fb family photo of him in the centre of her 3 kids, staring out from shelves & shelves & shelves across Shoalhaven that afternoon. It was an odd sensation seeing a pic I was already familiar with online, covering so much of local shelfspace & in my little regional supermarket. As it was the Tele, every town in NSW that gets daily newspapers will have seen multiple copies of that same front page too because the Tele is very widely read in NSW.

Orange, Bathurst & Dubbo (all are places I spent time in as a kid & I still have family there & further out) are all much bigger towns than mine so I expect they got a far larger dose of DH's face than my area did (& we're only 30-40 mins from Belanglo/Southern Highlands/Wingecarribee so that's southern NSW covered.

- anyway, your wish has been well & truly granted Puggle..

Another not so nice or accurate way of reporting this. "A house his fiance once lived in" - if you don't listen carefully you get the impression she was 16 when Karlie & Khandalyce were at that house in 2008.

But she was only 12 years old in 2008, so it has to be her parent's home that's been searched. Her mum or someone could've been a friend of Karlie's & now she's dealing with her home being besieged by media & her daughter unfairly targeted while she tries to process what happened to a friend & her little daughter - if Khandalyce played with her own children while she was there they're all probably beyond devastated - we are & we never met either of them.

I doubt very much a 12 yr old is the "witness" police have discussed interviewing in that house,
1. because the adults there at the time would be better suited.
2. She doesn't live there anymore but other family members obviously do

- so not only have they named a 16 yr old who was targeted by a 38 yr old man with a terrible past of violence, death & destruction aimed at the young women he was habitually involved with, but media aren't even naming the right person.:banghead:

Edit : & disturbingly DH has potentially known this girl through her parents & for at least 4 years prior to the engagement when she was 16. I feel even worse for her now (& somehow I doubt anyone in that house had warm fuzzy feelings for DH even before Karlie was identified).
