It always bothered me how initially the police suggested Karlie was "dumped" at Belanglo, which they thought was done as a red herring, and then later on they suggested that Karlie was killed near or at Belanglo. I'm thinking that after they received info on the phone pings, that's when they then thought Karlie was murdered in or near Belanglo, as opposed to somewhere else.

Yes, Panda, despite numerous MSM reports, I don't think investigators know (or they haven't yet made clear) precisely when, or where, Karlie was allegedly murdered, other than it was in or near* Belanglo State Forest and her body was there sometime on 14/15 December 2008.

Time and location of death is very important to forensics, although it may seem pedantic to others. Forensic evidence, and the reliability of it, can make or break a successful prosecution of an accused person. It is up to forensic specialists, among others, to assist investigators to put the perpetrator and victim at the same place, at the same time.

Khandalyce is in those photo's so they already have the connection. After the accident friends and family would have come see if they are ok. Then favours get asked etc and things progress on. DH would have a suspended licence for one.

We only 'know' HP (the photographer) and Khandalyce (the subject) were at the Blatherskite Park. We're assuming DJH and Karlie were there too but there is no documentary evidence of that.

I'm on a train of thought that hasn't quite coalesced into anything yet; it may never. My thoughts involve the Spring/Summer 2008 car show circuit for reasons I stated to Makara earlier in this thread.
