Snowtown? links between Belanglo and Wynarka? ....warm jackets on small children in Alice Springs in Winter when the average temperature is 21 degrees C , which is around 72 degrees F rather like a Berlin summer ? and the sun shines all day in a sky of relentless blue without a whisper of wind?

:drumroll::crazy:

My intentions of bringing focus on the areas was as simple as.
There are motor sport connections to both areas.
People camp in both areas.
The Wynarka Enduro is a big event over two days.
Dalys Clearing in Belanglo is camping and motor sports.
If some one is going to be familiar with both places then that is a connection maybe.
We all are aware of the Hot Rod connections etc. Even TB has car connections.
Also I am just looking around at the obvious and showing it. if any one can make sense of it and if it creates thought great.
Being familiar with and area can give you an in road to the lay of the land. Abandoned homes etc

Now that's a bit clearer to me - thanks. So not to reunite but both are places that people with similar interests could attend. Possible! Maybe.

Here is an idea. If well dressed suitcase man is real.
He had a case in good condition. Maybe his intention was to go and put the contents of the old case into a better one and get it the hell out of there. But on foot is such a strange concept.

They have the phone pings for Belanglo.
you need the connecting dot for Wynarka. Something that puts them in that area. That is what i am trying to find.

A date of 14 / 15 for Belanglo could mean they were in the area overnight.

I know that the Wynarka Enduro is in Aug each year.

That would be the maximum daily temperature; minimum would have been around 3 degrees C. It was apparently cool enough for an adult to be wearing a thick jacket. Still, perhaps somebody else was carrying Khandalyce's jacket because she didn't want it at the moment.

Some of the resemblances to Snowtown: linked fraud, specifically of around $90,000 in both; storage of body; the 'clean' condition of Khandalyce's bones which might suggest storage in acid; very violent and terrible deaths; mention of 'stomping' (unconfirmed); multiple perpetrators alleged; vicinities of Elizabeth and Murray Bridge.

I'll add, use of messages from victims to convince others that they're still alive.

well. yes, but the minimum of 3 degrees C would be reached around 4am in the morning..Khandalyce doesn't look like she is running around jacketless outside at 4am, does she? by 10am its up to 70 and the temperature doesn't start to go down until after sunset... the winter evenings in Alice are gorgeous, no wind at all.

I don't know why one cannot throw in the Family Murders along with Snowtown.. why stop at Snowtown? lots of commonalities with those murders, too. .. check it out, and see if that is so. .. .

Sorry to cut in Mid sentence...(Haven't read up to date yet)...But quick question that's bugging me...

If Daniel is not co operating and all we have heard at this point on MSM that links him to Karlie's murder - is that his phone pinged at Belanglo.... Q: What other evidence would members speculate they have found to tie him to her murder?

Would there be his DNA recoverable on her top? After the top had been out in the elements over 2 years? Legit question...as I have no idea about DNA longevity ..

Personally I am considering was one of those two phones, that were found under his seat by the ex 16 year fiancé.....was one of them Karliie's......and did he hold on to it all these years...and that was found...adding to a further circumstantial case against him ???

Good question Puggle. Personally, I think the police would have found some evidence in the houses that they searched (specifically, the sister's). I remember them saying the searches were "very productive" or words to that effect. I also suspect they have credible witnesses who came forward. I remember also the police saying they had located people that they believed knew what had happened to Karlie and Khandalyce - once again, I don't remember exactly, but it was something along those lines - which made me think they found out a lot from someone who spilled the beans. I expect Daniel Holdom didn't have an alibi for the timeframe as well, plus the police information about him having previously been found to have Karlie's key card in his possession. They've probably got quite a list I would think. How much is hard evidence and how much is circumstantial is a matter only they know. But I feel quite confident they wouldn't have arrested him unless they had very good cause and are quite confident themselves. I note also that Daniel Holdom didn't co-operate, which to me is telling. If he was innocent, I would have thought he would want to make his case quite strongly, as well as apply for bail. But that's just my own personal take.

Or that he is scared.

Funnily enough Trooper you may not even realise there could be a connection ..... Weirder things in life happen all the time.

I take it that Trooper's point wasn't that this or that other criminal might be responsible, but that the factors I mentioned are widespread and therefore their being common to Snowtown and Karlie/Khandalyce is of no significance.
