Are there really that many factors? It was reported _very_ early on that she was known to go bush, and there were some MH concerns about her.

Anything is technically possible, but I would surmise (from the lack of any open investigation) that it is unlikely anyone else was involved.
I personally have my doubts. I hope the police are still investigating behind the scenes ;)

Just what I have said in my post.

Until there has been confirmation from police that the case is now closed

It's still an active investigation.

This was a nationwide investigation, throughout the media, so if the investigation had culminated, there would have been some mention, because of the interest throughout the media

The media have shut up as well

There has been no response from the family; they have disabled comments

If this is bigger and it has overseas connections, people could be under surveillance

And it takes time

We will have to just wait and see

It’s typical in suicides that the media and police don’t release much.

A reminder that there’s over 3000 suicides per year in Australia, vs under 300 murders, per:

Very very few of those suicides ever hit the media and police rarely comment. Most of the murders do go public.

This will be a very sensitive and painful time for her family and friends. The police don’t necessarily owe us anything.

But we don't know it's a suicide. Just because the police haven't said anything

Agree... And the media tend to hint it's a suicide by putting the lifeline, beyond blue, kidshelp line etc. in a box somewhere in the article. ....

The above article was posted on June 27th - 4 months ago. Surely there should be an answer now? I'm not sure of the process, but given it was somewhat of a high profile case, wouldn't some news outlet get hold of results and publish them? Would it typically be made public, even if deemed suicide? Can the cause of death be legally withheld from the public, even just at the family's request?

Hi @HoneyBunOne,
(ioo) that's asking the QLD Coroner for an opinion, it's not requesting opening an Coronial inquiry. It's the first stage, like: "QLD Coroner - iyo - do we have enough to investigate xyz?"; as a result of the nature of the police 'request' I have no expectation that the public will hear anything - anytime soon. I could be wrong, have been on many other occasions.
  • Queensland Requesting an inquest guidelines: Very few coronial investigations proceed to inquest.
  • QLD Coroners Act 2003, some light reading to keep us occupied while we all wait on the edge of our seats for an 'update' & many of (your) questions are answered in the Act.
  • I think about the passage of time and how each day without TS must feel for her family, she was so loved and adored😔

Edit - Added the QLD Coroners Act 2003 & the grief I feel every time I touch this case.
