Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

I read a misleading clickbait headline and I was really hoping he was found. Read through like 20 pages or more to catch up and realized he was not found. I'm so sad. For Gus Gus and his mom and dad and his grandparents and all the searchers. He needs a proper funeral and his loved ones need some relief from this nightmare. I can't imagine being in that sort of limbo.

Wow! I’ve just been on google maps looking at roads/tracks branching off Oak Park Road near Oak Park Station and there are many ways out of there to the highway without being seen!

The family friend of the Murray’s, Fleur Tiver, from the neighbouring property spoke to the news early on and was absolutely adamant Gus wasn’t taken . The way she spoke about the area led me to believe it was an impossibility because there are gates and the public can’t get in!

The gates and distance to a regular road only show that it wasn't a random passer-by. Anyone who was there, it was for a reason.

I’m sad too.
Sad for Gus and his poor family. It would be horrendous for them not knowing where he is, if he’s alive or dead, holding onto hope he’ll be found and returned. It must be tearing them all apart. On top of that they have had to deal with the DM making them look bad. I don’t blame Josie for being angry and yelling while holding a gun when they turned up after being told not to. I feel very sorry for her, she’s a broken woman.
The worst thing for the family would be the uncertainty of where Gus is. I’m not even related and I can’t stop thinking about it😭

Right! I only saw several roadways at first, not realizing the 'tracks' could be used by cars also.

Yes anyone who was living/working/staying in the area could have had a reason to be driving past Oak Park Station, seen Gus, grabbed him and taken the least detectable path out of there

And not being sure that one day they won't accidentally find his remains on their property.

Thanks for that video. Yes very minimal dust

Generally it is that the slower you drive, the less dust there is. The faster you drive, the more dust there is.
Also the road surface can be a bit different in places. Some parts more red-sand dusty, some parts more white hard-packed calcified rock.

(from my experience of living in the SA outback for a good period of my life)

So what does she think happened to Gus then?

So what does she think happened to Gus then?

I got the impression that Ms Tiver thought that Gus was lost somewhere on the property.

She said that the search hadn't ended for them (her), even though the police search had ended.

A neighbour, Braithe Selleck, said that he was watching the roads for strange cars or anything suspicious. I got the impression that he had abduction on the table.

As a neighbour, Fleur may be concerned about her own safety. Imo

It seems like a dangerous part of the woods in which to reside.

One definitely doesn't want to get their neighbours offside.....

I can't believe they now refuse to let Gus's father back on the property even just to continue searching for his son on his own.
We don’t know if that’s the case or not.

Fleur lives in the Adelaide Hills.

Where is the confirmed and accurate source for this information?

Another video of some of the area. Jonica's journey to Oak Park Station.

Oh, I thought that had happened. Tried to find news reports saying it, but so far, only Daily Mail, and their info came from an unnamed friend. But they did have specific quotes from this friend (not that they couldn't make up the quotes...)

-----------
A deepening family feud resulted in the father of missing four-year-old Gus Lamont, Joshua Lamont, being banned from the homestead in the South Australian outback where the boy went missing. According to a friend, Joshua was "banned from the homestead" after things were said that "can't be taken back", [referring to ongoing disputes with grandmother Josie.]

Jmo that quote if accurate was related to disputes prior to Gus going missing. I've read nothing to confirm or show that Gus' father has been 'banned' from the property so as to be unable to search for his son, and Imo he has been freely able to do so and has done so. I'm sure there have been sound reports of this (I would have to take some time to find and repost but surely that is not in dispute?).

For some reason it is stated here and there as fact that dad is banned and unable to search for his son and that is what I would like to see a source for. Personally I don't think that is accurate. Jmo

Daily Mail and their source is an unnamed friend, so take it as you will...

This appears to be about the tracker who was used in the early days of searching., Apart from noting Gus' dad lived separately at another property and commuted to see Gus, I can't see anything there saying he had or has been banned from searching the property for Gus. Jmo

ETA, having now read the DM piece you attached for the third time, I can't see your quote in that specific article. Not disputing that this was reported at some point by the DM, but not in this specific piece Imo.
