Thank you South Aussie.

I'm glad we have a solid timeline for the game now.

The AFL Grand final game finished at 5:22pm Melbourne time. 8 minutes before Josie apparently called out for Gus to come in for dinner.

The Norm Smith medal winner was announced at 5:38pm Melbourne time.

"There was earlier a scary moment for Cats supporters when Jeremy Cameron had a head on crash with Patrick Dangerfield.

The decision to keep Cameron on the field as AFL medical staff watched footage of the incident has angered some fans."

This injury occured at 4:26pm, as per the article timeline presented.
It hasn't been reported anywhere that it was Josie that came out to call him in for dinner.

It's been reported that "Shannon" was the one that came out to call him in for dinner.

I've posted the quote from The Advertiser a few times in this thread now.

But then we had the Daily Fail imply that it was Jess that couldn't find him at 5.30pm.

No real mention of where "Josie" exactly was at that time of 5.30pm

This was said by the father's friend, according to the Daily Mail.

Afaik the father hasn't sued the Daily Mail for defamation, and it's been reported as fact, so we can assume the assertion has gone through some fact-checking processes at the Daily Mail before being published. They are a major news organisation. I'm sure they have an editor and a legal department. Imo
Interesting, thanks

Apologies if this has been discussed before, I am curious about what all this is (circled in red by me), less than 1km west of the Oak Park homestead.
It looks like a scrap yard?
I imagine it would take a long time to search thoroughly.

Good pickup. That looks like the station junk pile. Every big station property has them and if the station has been in the same family for three generations as has been reported, then likely it has never been cleaned. Farmers never thrown anything out, they just park it and over the years it builds up.
Most likely place to find him, IMO. The is probably 100 years of clapped out farm machinery laying there, piled on top of itself. He has been climbing around and fallen, injured, bitten by a brown snake etc. And his body is somewhere in that pile, could be layers deep under large items of machinery.

I'm a little behind on catching up on posts. So this may have already been discussed but, I just found it.
And I find it shocking.

It's absolutely disgusting the amount of AI generated articles that have been on FB with all the misinformation. It all comes back on Meta and they are the one's responsible for allowing it to happen on their platform. I've reported so many since Gus disappeared, but Meta does nothing as it doesn't go against their guidelines blah blah. It's time Meta are held more accountable for what they allow on their platform.

This poor family is grieving... I'm not sure how I feel about volunteers being turned away. Sounds like someone's is even irritated volunteers keep showing up.

In reality I don't know how I would act or behave if my small 4-year-old became missing. I probably would be extremely erratic. But I don't know if I would be irritated with volunteers showing up on my property. I just don't know...

From what I have found, there is a photo of Gus that isn't AI generated, with a small bit of information on who lives on the property (not much information, just names that I know have been said on here, but anyway). Not sure if you will have seen the photo, but thought to reply just in case someone hasn't.

Hard to say who are volunteers vs who are curiosity seekers, I’d think, who want to snoop around the family out of curiosity or to sell stories to places like the Daily Mail. Families have to be cautious about letting strangers get too close in these situations, even if the majority mean well.

I was reading the Daily Mail website article on this case. It seems a reasonable summary of what's happened and the circumstances leading up to the disappearance. Just visiting here to see what my fellow Webslueths think.

I agree with many posts I've seen so far, at this stage I'm also inclined to think Gus is somewhere on the property, in the house, or in one of the outbuildings. I hope he's found, or his body recovered soon. May God Bless and cherish him, wherever he is.

IMO - I think the same, I don’t believe he was abducted, I just think he’s somewhere on the property & just hasn’t been found yet, unfortunately. It’s very sad. MOO

I agree. Is this what cases are going to be now?? Loads of false information.

I can't imagine being family & reading these false AI generated rubbish. I've also reported heaps, but I found with many there was no report option. It's sick.
