It does not look like a sandpit that is set up for kids to play in, more like a pile of sand that is using for making cement which kids usually don't play in because they spread it out.I think the trampoline near the sandpit looks to be in a strange and dangerous position
It looks like it would be easy for a kid to climb on to the trampoline and then jump off and land on something hard like landing on a stone wall or a stone step
They would be referring to the Mega Fauna day's. History says that the Indigenous were eyewitnesses to the large animals and they told their story via rock carvings. This is a book about Indigenous findings at nearby Tiverton Station where it mentions the significance of several animal tracks of unusually large dimensions.
If Gus wandered away did he meet his demise by one of those animals?
Very interesting .This puts a whole new slant on it![]()
Missing boy Gus' grandparents break their silence: 'Clashes'

Gus Lamont's heartbroken grandparents break their silence as the missing little boy's VERY complicated family background is revealed: 'Clashes'
No it is not a sandpit with sand like the beaches. But for the Australians who have lived in the outback like I have, it's a true sandpit to us...but with just plain old Aussie dirt.It does not look like a sandpit that is set up for kids to play in, more like a pile of sand that is using for making cement which kids usually don't play in because they spread it out.

BBM : I agree.From the article:
It is understood Josie Murray lives with Gus's grandmother Shannon Murray, and that the child's mother Jess is also on the property where Gus went missing.
Locals have told the Daily Mail Jess and Gus's father Joshua Lamont also share a one-year-old son, Ronnie, who is also believed to live on the station with his mother.
However Mr Lamont himself lives two hours' drive away, 100km to the west in Belalia North, near Jamestown.
The Daily Mail has been told that while Josh and Jess remained a couple, he does not live on the station because of family clashes with Jess's parent, Josie.
'Josh doesn't think it's safe for the kids to be out there, it's dangerous,' a family friend revealed.
It makes sense that the family wanted privacy, I imagine they were concerned about trolling and vilification because Gus’ grandma Josie is transgender.
Someone who was one of the searchers and 'knew the country like the back of his hand' said their were no big predators in the area. They would be referring to the Mega Fauna day's. History says that the Indigenous were eyewitnesses to the large animals and they told their story via rock carvings.
That’s a deeply emotional and complex situation, and your questions are completely understandable.Someone who was one of the searchers and 'knew the country like the back of his hand' said their were no big predators in the area.
If there's no wild things to take the little chap's body away then how on earth can a 4 yr old simply vanish without trace on a flat sheep station?
I can now understand why the family want privacy, but I cannot understand why they don't seem to want anyone out there looking for Gus's body. Can you understand why that would be the case @spiritualdreaming?
I can't answer why they don't want people to help. If I was in that situation I would want any help I could get, but unfortunately everybody is different.Someone who was one of the searchers and 'knew the country like the back of his hand' said their were no big predators in the area.

Yes I found that rather alarming as well. One would think you'd call dad after calling Police. Definitely sparks more questions, especially if dad didn't think it was safe for the kid's to live there. The family dynamics seem quite intense after reading that article IMO"It is understood Mr Lamont only found out his child was missing when police woke him up at his home, hours after Gus had vanished."
If this is true, as a dad this is horrifying. I can’t imagine being asleep while my four year old was missing and no one called me. It raises a million questions about the timeline for me. Who knew what, when, and why it took police knocking on the door for the father to find out.

I take it to mean they dont want 'random people' turning up to help, meaning they are fine with the approved groups still searching.Someone who was one of the searchers and 'knew the country like the back of his hand' said their were no big predators in the area.
