I’ll clarify my intent. I wasn’t attacking anyone’s identity or denying anyone’s dignity. I was pointing out that this thread was being pulled off course by someone using it to publicly demonstrate how morally correct they are, rather than engaging with the substance of a serious case involving a missing child. My comment was an attempt to redirect the focus back to relevance and proportionality. The constant appeal to authority and immediate escalation to moderation is strange in a forum of adults, especially when it replaces discussion rather than resolving it. Less culture war signalling, less running to admin, and more substance on the actual case would be a better outcome for everyone here. The original post misgendering JM should be removed. IMO. I understand the poster's response to it. WS TOs do not allow trans phobic comments and specifically on this thread misgendering of JM is out. My own comment and yours are OT and I shall self report
It would have been corroborated by other people on the property and also Jess, though.SUPPOSEDLY
That’s my theory. You wouldn’t bury a child in the broad daylight typically, imo. I think they’ll find him buried on the far corners of the property.Quite possible. He may have been moved and disposed of in the middle of the night, prior to the reported incident. And Jess got up early, fed the baby, and went into the further fields to work. And the rest of the day was staged?
But even the timing. Calling the police at 8pm which would take them an hour to get to surely (LE mentioned on the live that each driveway is 45kms long) so now we are in darkness. It happens to help distance even further by providing a bigger buffer. IMOPossibility Gus was still at station when police were first called
Det Supt Darren Fielke was asked whether Gus Lamont may still have been on the station when police were first called to the property.
'Possibly. Police were on scene quite quickly when they were advised Gus was missing,' he told reporters.
'Yes, there was some time in between, but it's possible.'

They would have only been granted a warrant if new information came to light, imo - which seemed to occur on January 10.SAPOL did wait a while before doing a thorough forensic search…..
”Det. Supt. Fielke said as a result of recent investigations on 14 and 15 January 2026 detectives attended Oak Park Station and executed a search warrant.
A comprehensive forensic search of the homestead was conducted and detectives seized a number of items, including a vehicle, a motorcycle and electronic devices for forensic examination.”
Two of the adults weren’t at the properly all day. I personally think he was killed the night prior and hidden then. Evidence cleaned up the next day. Jess would have left early the next morning with JM and not noticed if Gus wasn’t in bed, imo.
I think SM was coerced into providing the story about playing in the dirt giving JM an alibi at the sheep farm away from the property, and is now cooperating with police against JM.
IMO
I recall reading that there was conflict between Gus’ father and JM, which is why he didn’t live on the property. That Jess still did while the grandparents had primary custody could point to a very controlling coercive family dynamic, imo. That's similar to what I had in my mind. Everything was just off. I can imagine scenarios in which the grandmother (or maybe even the daughter as well) could have been persuaded that it was something they should do. Convinced they were protecting someone from what they might have perceived to be unfair suspicion or persecution for a variety of reasons.
I wonder what Gus's father and his side of the family are making of all of this. Terrible stuff.
Where did you read that the grandparents had primary custody?I recall reading that there was conflict between Gus’ father and JM, which is why he didn’t live on the property. That Jess still did while the grandparents had primary custody could point to a very controlling coercive family dynamic, imo.
This is almost word for word what I was just going to post. I have questioned the family dynamic in this situation since I learned about the father not being allowed on the property. A mother who is purportedly still in a relationship with her children's father doesn't live separately from the father like this unless there is a very unusual dynamic going on. In my opinion, of course.I recall reading that there was conflict between Gus’ father and JM, which is why he didn’t live on the property. That Jess still did while the grandparents had primary custody could point to a very controlling coercive family dynamic, imo.
Yes... and potentially various forms of leverage involved. And they're so very very isolated.I recall reading that there was conflict between Gus’ father and JM, which is why he didn’t live on the property. That Jess still did while the grandparents had primary custody could point to a very controlling coercive family dynamic, imo.
can a mod please clean up the transphobia here? Its making me uncomfortable and clouding the discussion.Personal feelings and beliefs aside, I can't believe that WS would insist on posters adopting special pronouns of those connected with crimes, or policing language in that way? Are you sure?
They are in US and asleep. Probably take a few hours. Moocan a mod please clean up the transphobia here? Its making me uncomfortable and clouding the discussion.
