Accused parent-killer is ‘absolutely innocent’, her son says
Raelene Polymiadis, 62, was arrested earlier this year after her parents died.7news.com.au
I have heard of courts freezing assets but I have never heard of a court denying access to a deceased estate before. Does this also mean RP loses her inheritance if found guilty of her parents murder?![]()

I imagine it would be similar to killing someone for their life insurance policy etc. just imo.I have heard of courts freezing assets but I have never heard of a court denying access to a deceased estate before. Does this also mean RP loses her inheritance if found guilty of her parents murder?
Perhaps Hubby doesn't want her.Wow! $600,000 Bail required for Home Detention. How many families could manage that amount?
Interesting that she has been released into her son’s care rather than her husbands.
Grim truth behind family home for sale
The parents home is on the market.
And if her own husband apparently doesn't believe in her innocence, what does that say? At her age, her husband would know her better than her son.Perhaps Hubby doesn't want her.

I just checked out (not personally!) the house which is now up for sale. I was really expecting it to have more than 3 bedrooms, given that 4 children grew up there - but of course that was how things were back then. It is in serious need of remodelling, and I doubt the buyer would do that. I should think it will almost certainly be a "knockdown". The real value is in the land, and also the position. I should think that it will be snapped up very quickly - it might be just right for a nursing home, for example. Australia, with its aging population, will be needing more and more of them.
Yes, I'd forgotten about that! I suppose that if for instance it was to go to someone to build a nursing home, for example a church, then maybe the heritage listed buildings could be incorporated as a chapel, men's shed, whatever.I wonder what can be done to a property that has a heritage order on it (as mentioned in the news.com article).
I just looked up the SA Heritage listing datatbase. It is listed there. Usually heritage listings mean that things have to conserved. In this case it is the "former dwelling, and shop, and outbuilding" that is listed.
Maybe they will subdivide that big plot of land, build on the rest, and preserve the part where the heritage structures sit.
