Does anyone think he is not a psychopath? He continued to parasite of others after being called out on the earthrainbownetwork and there is no evidence of empathy. A wannabe Guru, an internet forum user, aspiring digital artist, a lecherous drunk and all-round creeper who lived off plagiarism and stalking the vulnerable.

The expert advised that his fellowship was not a doomsday cult so any previous references to the asteroid in 2008 are unconfirmed IMO. There were references to an incident by a poster called Warhol and as found by Frog earlier in this thread but looking at further posts by that individual led me to believe it was not POI but still open to further interp by others. Does that rule out suicide? Conmen are slippery buggers...

With the timeline there is no reason why our POI wouldn't update the online book to include the current address of Denmark after relocating from Melbourne because he is fraudulent and the version is digital. Therefore I presume that he did not write his first book in Denmark but there are still questions over why he left Denmark to Nannup. These are small towns and someone must know something.

After looking around with the kind help of other WS'ers at the digital footprint of POI there is no evidence I have found that suggests he is still parasitising off his old work. The only unusual thing is the newcall.org website continuing on past 2007 with translations in Dutch, Spanish, Italian, German and French. As previously mentioned WAPOL/INTERPOL would be all over this like a rash. If POI was still alive and managed somehow to get out of the country would he be stupid enough to go to one of those countries? Interestingly the English version of the website is not as accessible as the international versions. Each overseas site had a unique email address and forum for that language. Once again these satellites would have been investigated by WAPOL/INTERPOL back in the day.

So there is no current digital footprint of "Si" I could find after a precursory look besides a number of others out there peddling his work at some point, feedback emails and the website aforementioned. That is to be expected from a conman and/or a dead man.

Back to the 'Gone to Brazil' letter – what was left behind were wallets, unfinished dishes, untouched bank accounts... what about his computer. Did he have a laptop? If a desktop was it left behind? Was it turned on? Did he have two computers? Was the computer wiped if left behind? I think the status of his computer may inform us as to the likelihood of foul play vs escape. WAPOL could have seized the web caches from Westnet after October 2007 but is there any mention of seizing his computer?

If he left his laptop behind he is a good conman if still alive IMHO...

Yeah thanks to Frog. I email the contact@ it bounced back saying enquires thru website only. I filled out the form. I can either be an interested buyer, an aspiring conman or Jesus... still waiting on response and know nothing about privacyprotect but will keep you posted with developments. I'm not expecting a "gotcha Neddy!" moment as WAPOL should be aware of this but it's worth a crack IMHO.

If we could have a real clue to who travelled from Nannup to Kalgoorlie then we could work on the basis of Gary being on the run using Tony's ID, or Tony attempting to go home, or another unidentified third party obfuscating what happened to the group.

This mob privacyprotect protect the contact details of website owners. According to scam websites they also harbour scammers and spammers. Although their physical address appears to be in Qld their server seems to be hosted in Switzerland. There are variable reports online about this business ho claim no affiliation with the site owners they protect and clearly do not discern between a white supremacist group and a haberdashery shop.

It's been over 24 hours since I sent the RFI. I checked their FAQ's to find out their standard lead time on responses. There is an option for LE to step in as well:

Pertinent point Pete. I'm unsure if Tony would be able to source the cheapest accommodation in Perth and have the wherewithal walk to Northbridge from the train station but we don't know much about him so I presume he is an innocent party. If the POI did take the Australind from Bunbury to Perth at least they would only have to walk from Perth CBD train station to Newcastle st in Northbridge – 10 or 15 minutes.

IMHO what makes me think it is Gary is the fact that he has chosen the backpackers in the first place. He's English, traveled internationally, went to UK in 2000 & 2002 IIRC – suggest to me it was his idea at least and others agree he could get away using Popic's ID because that was something he was good at. Backpackers stay at backpackers...

The current timetable for that train service is:

108 Bunbury depart 2.45pm arrive in Perth 5.15pm

The detail around the departure time would also be helpful. We may have to start drilling down on some likely scenarios.

Let's hope they all jumped on the train with three of them using one of these? Unsure if ID was required in 2007 but suspect so. This all happened after they replaced the fleet of trains in 2005.

All scenarios that come to mind are valid. Number 3. Gary on the run – that sounds like a positive option to look at.

Westrail and trains south are not my strong suit. The new trains I mentioned may have been limited to the Avonlink and Prospector. Wikipedia says Westrail was privatised in 2000:

Any info on the group WAPOL spoke to in Rio Branco may save some time and would be appreciated. I will try cross-referencing his preferred drug to know religious groups on the cusp of the city over there. I've had a quick look and there are bearded gurus in the forest. I think we're looking for a balding one who is an imposter...

Someone actually threatening them with physical harm, like a relative of that lady that suicided, or a friend of that lady that was bilked of her money. or someone else that was scammed and trying to get their money back?
Being chased by a cult buster?
A crime like the ID fraud that Gary sensed the authorities were about to arrest him on?
A suicide pact which coincidentally involved either a means or a location that effectively hid their bodies?
Or someone did them in and hid the bodies?

Or hapchance they had an accident, run off the road into a culvert and no one has ever noticed.

And how did WAPOL find out about the Trip to Kalgoorlie? Was it an Anonymous tip off?
