There may be aerial photos of the area on the Landgate website but given the remoteness of the location it's not like shooting fish in a dam.

There's a dam. Probably stocked with Trout and Marron too. Nice. Just up the road.

Anyone want to go swimming with the fishes?

I wonder if all of the private dams in and around Nannup have been searched?

Is that a date on the top of Chantelle's letter? July 16? That doesn't really fit the known timeline so I am curious what y'all think. I write my dates like this: mm/dd/yyyy.

I'm working on a timeline.

Wow. That Roberts Road lot 5 screen capture is huge, sorry.

Here is my first draft timeline. Let me know what I need to fix or add.

Having done this, there are a few dots that are not connecting in my head:

If the letter is dated July 16th, then they sold the car and returned to Nannup. Which implies that nobody saw them around Nannup for two days. Unless, she was directed to post-date the letter. Chantelle told her parents that Tony was going to give her and Leela a ride to Perth to go to Brazil on the 14th. I was thinking that the places were visited in series, or sequentially with no return to Nannup. What am I missing? Did they have a phone at the house on Roberts? If not, then she would have had to go use somebody else's phone to call her parents. Do we know where she was when she called them? Was Simon supposed to meet them in Perth?

I was trying to find a UID DB for Australia and found this:

Authorities are creating the nation's first database of unidentified bodies, revealing there are 500 sets of human remains currently languishing in morgues and laboratories.

http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2016-...e-missing-people-unidentified-remains/8107104

Which is encouraging, but honestly, it's been ten years. Chantelle and Tony probably have dental records not sure about Leela since half of her life they were hopping from place to place.
Her grandparents should get DNA swabs done if they haven't already. Maybe they did when the bones were found in Nannup a few years ago.

Google Earth version shows the dams that Google maps don't, and notice how green with algae they are, which probably indicates they're stocked with fish too. Now if you had a dam on your private property, who would you consult about getting trout fingerlings and raising them?

Of course, an upside to this consultancy work would be that one would have a really good knowledge of all those dams, and how to get into them, and no one would take much notice if one revisited occasionally "to check the fish".
Likewise if one also was involved in the timber industry, one would have a lot of excavator buckets laying around that one could use on weekends.

Revisiting the timber harvest maps.

Leela's house is marked by the yellow square. Note the areas scheduled for harvest in 2017 and 2018.
