And now we know how quickly BC snapped into predatory mode. Somehow he knew a bus was having problems - the question is, did he immediately start looking for a victim, or did he spot poor Daniel at the bus stop and spring into action as he recalled the bus? He admitted that he stood by and didn't even speak to Daniel until the bus sailed by - then was ready to offer a lift to the concerned boy. It's hard to believe that he didn't operate like this continually - an opportunist with a horrible plan at the ready. I hope the police will continue to look very carefully at everywhere this man has been throughout his entire life - this just all came far too easily to him.
All the information about him so far has been so revolting and shocking. I don't understand why crimes against children seem to be dismissed lightly in terms of prison sentences administered. That poor child in Darwin was tortured and left for dead in a junk yard - his injuries the stuff of nightmares, yet the charges against BC were reduced and he only spent a couple of years in prison? I'm guessing we will never hear about how the recovery of that particular child progressed, or how those events have changed his life to this day. It's just too sad to contemplate.
