I keep going back to the dog.

Given he was found alive, I think it was either foul play by someone close to her...they didn't want to (or couldn't bring themselves to) hurt the dog, BUT, they had to create the story that she could have been out walking him so they let him out in the bush somewhere
OR
she has actually had an accident whilst out walking the doggo.

I just think that if she encountered a random psycho whilst out walking they would have no problem in also harming the dog. Most dogs will bark if they think their owners are under attack which could draw unwanted attention.

Or if she went willingly, would she really leave the doggo to run free? The dog she has (I assume) driven 2 hours to the holiday home so it wouldn't be left alone whilst the rest of the family went to football? (assuming they were staying at Surrey Hills property that night)

MOO :moo:
Disclaimer: this is coming from a massive dog lover, so thoughts could be clouded.

From one dog owner to another.....I was talking about this with friends this morning and the thought of suicide came up.......again why take your beloved dog.

Re: Elisa facebook
thread post:
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...elbourne-30-Sept-2017&p=13664330#post13664330

fb cache:
https://webcache.googleusercontent..../public/Elisa-Curry+&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=au

Her account was up until at least 04Sep2017...
it looks like it refreshes now, but I have a screenshot showing her listed account photo and the google cache date as well.
No telling exactly when, or by whom it was taken down; but within the past month, anyway -- and could've been up until earlier yesterday, when MsAnais posted the link.
I'd like to know if Elisa took it down herself before disappearing, or if it was taken down after she went missing.

If someone got a hold of her phone they could have deactivated her fb account, but that seems like a really personal thing to do. Not something a random mugger would do...A jealous person or person who wants to hide communications that are on there could have deactivated it. Good thing facebook never really deletes accounts. All her activity is still logged there. An alternative theory would be she took it down herself in anticipation of not being around any longer :(

There is a video of the neighbour stating that Elisa said they were having problems in the marriage or words to that effect.

Where can I see the video?

She could have taken down her own facebook account.

Given her propensity to write letters to the editor she may have also been one to comment on controversial issues using facebook which can open yourself up to trolling.

Just speculation!

Last seen in bed by a neighbour.
This is beginning to sound like a sexual predator to me. Someone who knew she was home, alone, in bed, having had too much to drink.
Someone who took advantage of the situation.

Hi fluffy! I did speculate earlier about her maybe being drunk-ish - but do we know if she actually was drinking? She may have been a teetotal... idk!
Even so, drunk or not, I wondered earlier as well if there was a creepy guy around there, knowing she was home alone... but then again, no signs of a struggle in the house... so....
...still nothing but questions. :sigh:

Hi everyone. I am a Victorian journalist (not covering this story, I work regionally) but it's got me and my colleagues obsessed.
(rsbm for brevity)

Thank you so much for joining us, 3llecia!
Please do keep us updated!

Hi *V, yes, all questions and no answers. I'm imagining a scenario where some creep comes back later believing she'd be out to it, forces himself upon her, she wakes up and recognizes him, he smothers her with a pillow. Hopefully not of course, but I suppose it's possible.

I'm curious to know why they sat with the late night run scenario for so long when surely they would have questioned people that were with her the night before prior to the case going public..

Exactly one of the things I was thinking.

I also wonder if it was perhaps taken down by husband, for privacy; or by the family in general after she went missing --
-- in anticipation of the ensuing media feeding-frenzy...

Cheers! Very interesting she should be having problems with the husband and then go missing...

Mind you I thought the neighbour was a little dodgy....

Inspector Seel also eliminated the theory Ms Curry had taken the family dog for a run and said it more likely the Labrador escaped.

The dog was found by a neighbour distressed and roaming the streets late on Monday afternoon.

"The dog is about five years old and I don't think it runs very far at all. She definitely doesn't take it when she goes on long runs," he said.

"I suggest the dog got out and when they realised she was missing and the dog wasn't there I think someone assumed they were both together."

Elisa Curry disappearance: Victorian police still hope to find missing Melbourne woman alive
ABC News
24 MINUTES AGO (as at 12:21 AEST 4 October 2017)

‘"We're hopeful that she is alive, we're looking for a live person at the moment," he said.

"Obviously as time goes on it's less likely that she's alive."’

‘"It could be suspicious circumstances. At this stage there's no evidence to suggest that but [we can't rule it out] and the local detectives are definitely looking into that side of things."

The search today will concentrate on trail heads, car parks and bluffs in the area.

Inspector Seel said they would make a decision on further searches at the end of the day.‘

I'm getting whiplash. Didn't go for a run, may have gone for a run, could be foul play, no evidence of foul play, may have been washed out to sea, might be in a bush, actually we're looking for her alive somewhere. Idk just seems like a lot of significant changes in the theory which is concerning. Hope she is found safe.

That would be a nice surprise!
Wow, the headlines are just all over the place -
- from swept-out to sea, to still alive somwhere...

Maybe the neighbour with the Elisa in bed detail, sat on that info for a while

Mind you I thought the neighbour was a little dodgy....

...I've really been trying to avoid this. ahem.
Besides not being able to get WC Fields out of my head, I wonder.
But then I just keep assuming that she was at work all night with plenty of folks to provide a tight alibi. Not sure why I am assuming this, as nothing at all whatsoever has been mentioned.
But, I suppose she's just an interesting lady to have a beer with. :toast:
