The Port Augusta Magistrates Court has set a date in July for a 20-year-old Quorn man to answer two charges of murder.

Jose Enzo Omonte-Extrada was charged in December with the murder of Jessie Leigh Fullerton and Rebecca Elizabeth Wild in December.

Defence lawyers said they were ready to proceed with a plea and the date was set for July 29.

Omonte-Extrada been remanded in custody at Yatala prison.

Mr Fullerton said his granddaughter, known as Jessie, 22, was murdered because she tried to do the right thing.

She went out of her way to help someone (Rebecca Wild) in stress and she got killed for it."

"I'm just glad he had the decency to own up to what he did to our girls," she said.

The court has yet to hear how Omonte-Extrada murdered Jessie and Rebecca, 16, and what, if any, motive he had.

And then may he rot in hell for all eternity! I hope the families are happy with that sentence, it's a decent one!

He'll be 53 years old when he's eligable for parole. He should of got life and no chance of parole. Evil.

Does anyone know his citizenship?

Just now going back through some of the earlier reports. So far this is about all that's been mentioned...

August 27, 2013

Advertiser.com.au also can now reveal Omonte-Extrada arrived in Australia with his father when he was nine years old.

But his father became terminally ill about five years ago, resulting in Omonte-Extrada moving in with a foster family at Quorn

Poor Rebecca ... the hours that she went through such pain and agony because she didn't want to go out with this person, then witnessing Jessie's death on top of it. :(

Poor Jessie ... trying to do the right thing and help Rebecca, then is brutally murdered for it. :(

Sometimes, when I read what these brutal killers do to their victims, I think we should revert to old times of 'an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth'.

Thinking of this poor man mentioned in above report, Mr Fullerton, Jessie's grandfather. He speaks about his victim impact statement to the killer. The horrific ripple effect of heartbreak which these killers create is enormous.

"He caused the early demise of my wife, Isabel. She could not overcome the trauma he caused.

"To lose little Jessie in such a shocking way was more than her heart could stand."

Mr Fullerton said he and Isabel had raised Jessie since she was three months old.

There has to be a way to stop these killers from committing all these murders. They're all young guys, all around the same age.

S.A - 2012 - Jose Omonte-Extrada, 20, murdered Jessie Fullerton & Rebecca Wild using knives & an axe.

S.A. - 2010- Jason Downie, 18, murdered, raped Chantelle Rowes & stabbed both her parents to death.

QLD - 2013 - unnamed killer, 18, accused of murdering of Joan Ryther

QLD - 2013 - Alex Reuben McEwan, 19, accused of murdering Eunji Ban.

They're just a few off the top of my head. Then there's the murder cases in US of guys all around that same age.
