Hand was definitely bandaged I have screenshot of it taken 16 July
The hand pic was July 16 at 3:47am - just looks like a very thick bandage to me. I'm not medical though.
I think bandage too. Wasn't on in the herald sun photo shoot !
I wonder if Bunnings footscray have any footage of him. in the store or around store, AND i wonder what he bought?

'Still a missing person's case'
Detective Inspector Dennis said her disappearance was still being treated as a missing person's case.
"I'm sure any family would be holding out hope in the circumstances to make sure a loved one is still alive," he said.
"We are treating it as a missing person case but the longer she remains missing the more difficult it becomes."
Police said a number of people had contacted them since they first appealed for public help

The police have to show they are exploring all possibilities for fear of being accused of 'tunnel vision' at trial .. Remember the accusation of a 'rush to judgement' in the OJ trial? It's important that they follow all leads just in case their suspicion is wrong, and to show they remained open minded, and followed the evidence as opposed to proving their own theories right.
This is why they appear to be looking in a number of places at once, even when they have strong leads from the start.
I'm now suspecting the police have nothing. Today's developments are worrying in the sense that they seem to be rolling the dice out of hitting a dead end.
I am constantly flip flopping. I think THIS is the state of play:
The Herald Sun is pushing the angle that the husband did it, though, at the moment, i think there is no evidence for that. The husband is in the frame purely, simply because the last person to see a missing person is always a kind of suspect. Further, a husband, especially one arguing with his wife, is always of interest. But beyond those basic qualities, i am not sure the cops have anything solid, substantive on Borce suggesting he is a suspect.
Further, after reading the ABC article, this one:

I get the sense the police don't really have much evidence for anything. That the police are on horse-back and searching nearby fields is worrying, because it suggests to me it is a roll of the dice to find something on the off chance someone murdered Karen and dumped her body there or threw her handbag there. I thought the police were well advanced in their understanding of what happened; though, after today, i think they're almost as clueless as we are.
Finally, if police are not playing dumb to the media while following the suspect, then they truly have nothing. That is alarming. This means that all three scenarios are WELL AND TRULY in play:
1) the husband murdered Karen.
2) the stepson murdered Karen.
3) a stranger murdered Karen.
I am not even considering that she voluntarily disappeared as i believe that is fanciful. She could have purposefully disappeared to begin a new life under an assumed identity, though that is simply crap.
I would like to say that i am VERY ANNOYED at the Herald Sun for pushing the husband did it theory, as it is sensationalistic and it seems like there is ZERO evidence for it. Borce, most likely, lawyered up regarding the sexual molestation charges his son is levelling, which is the prudent thing to do. But the Herald Sun made it sound like he lawyered up because he is nigh on being arrested, which seems to be FAR from the truth.
This is how i am reading it currently. I, too, unfortunately, get sucked into the hype and believe the husband did it; though i am now thinking there is no evidence against him. That he asked neighbours for CCTV footage is something, I, at first, thought showed him to be innocent, but that could be staged. But i now distrust the Herald Sun and believe the police have ZERO evidence- not just against Borce, but against anyone. This seems to be truly open at the moment.
At this stage it wouldn't surprise me if they arrest Rickard tomorrow.
